I am a 68 year old American residing in Denmark. I teach visual arts, music and ESL at a primary school. I also teach art as an after School curriculum activity. Years ago I studied Chinese Brush Painting while living in Thailand as well as reading, writing and speaking Mandarin. I haven’t had time to draw or paint in years. Recently I have been working my way out of a depression and started drawing again. You are my inspiration! Your instructions remind me of my then 80 year old Chinese Brush Painting teacher and learning to “write” the Art or rather paint/ write the strokes that make up both written Mandarin and brush painting. Encountering you and your Art has reminded me that all I have learned back then has not been a waste of time. I thought I would be able to make a living for myself in retirement selling and teaching my art and felt old and useless as I’ve aged and realize it’s not going to happen. I am so pleased that I can still learn for myself and no other reason. Finally I can get back to living again . Thank you for being out there.
This is so calm, and his voice is really soothing and friendly, indicating he’s collected and content. Not to mention the music, and the technique is very easy and simple. Great video.
As a newbie to drawing, I've gone through multiple techniques on drawing hands. Out of all of them, I think yours is the most helpful one! Thank you so much for explaining the process of drawing hands in a way that's easy to understand. You've really helped me draw them quicker and better!
This proves that a tutorial doesnt have to be all fancy and edited, as long as you’re good at explaining. it also helps to see the progress and thought while drawing. thank you so much.
it’s so cool how you can finish one of these in less than a minute, the first three examples took me about 1 hour to replicate. i guess i’m new to this method and don’t have the muscle memory to draw them quickly yet, but your skill is amazing and i can’t imagine how much you’ve practiced over the years to get to this point!
I've always like drawing until I went to art cram school and really learn how to draw, I started stressing, having anxiety about my lack of skills, having peer pressure... Since then I've been afraid to draw, and today, the first time in a while, you make me want to draw again. Thank you. Sorry for bringing down the mood. Update: I got my first A+ today, right at the ending of my first year which is like the highest grade i've ever received, a 9/10. It was a procastinated then non-stop sleepless overnights painting. Yet I made it through. And things actually get better, they do get better. From 29/5/24 To the me in 27/5/23

Right as soon as I saw this, I was amazed at how simplified it was, but still so correct. I feel a little more at ease now that I've watched this, it showed me an easy way to infact make my hands perfect, and also helped me to relax whilst I'm drawing them. You're amazing!
