I rescued a cat a few months back who looked exactly like this. She was 2 months old. She was outside my building just waiting to die. She was in a very bad condition and full of worms and fleas. At that time I did not know that she could be Chausie. She is so playful and energetic and loving. Never once regretted the decision to bring her home that day. Now she is 10 months old. My other male cat and her became best friends in a couple of days.
Thank you for rescuing her. Chances of her being a Chausie are very slim. Depending upon where you are there are only a handful of breeders in the world. Fewer when you narrow down areas. Don't buy into cat DNA, it's a scam. You may have a ticked colored which can be seen in just typically domestic on occasion. You could have an Abyssinian mix which may be more likely.
@@savannah5835 I live in India. Apparently they are very common here. Anyway I don't really care if she is a chausie or not. I googled her breed as she is a little different from my other tabby cat. She loves wet/moist areas (rests in bathroom), very playful and friendly, loves heights and eats a lot. She could be a mix. Also there is wildlife nearby where I live so maybe mixed with that.
They look so much like the Abyssinians! Both are the desert cats? Not as Reddish, though! The Abyssinian does come in this greyish morph, also! I read that the Jungle wild cat was initially bred with the Abyssinian breed early on! How much is it the original Jungle cat coat colour morph and how much the Abyssinian? Possibly the Abyssinian and this Chausie breed are related!?

So Chausies existed since ancient Egpyt? I thought they are a new designer-breed since they're a wild hybrid
All domesticated animals are "designer breeds".
