I had the pleasure of seeing them at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell ma. about 13 years ago with my wife and kids. It was an amazing experience. We got to meet the band after the show. I've got guitar picks and the storybook signed by the entire band. TSO will always be an important part of our Christmas tradition. Their album Christmas Eve and other stories is not only my favorite Christmas album, but one of my favorite albums of any kind. It's such a beautiful and inspiring story that is told, that I truly make an effort to keep the lesson it teaches in my heart and mind always. I can't believe that it's been 18 years since its release. I'd also like to mention that it's been 10 years since the passing of Daryl B. Pediford (29:10), it was an honor to have met him. He was a wonderful talent and a very gracious and friendly person who definitely appreciated his fans. God Bless and Merry Christmas everyone.
Fall on your knees. O hear the angel voices! O night divine! O night when Christ was born! Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother, and in His Name, all oppression shall cease! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! And, btw, many thanks to you Jozsef for uploading this incredibly beautiful music for the enjoyment of all of humanity!
I saw this for the first time this Christmas and loved it. My Mom bought it for me for Christmas so now I can watch it all year long lol. Love the Trans Siberian Orchestra and would love to see them live someday. Thanks for sharing this beautiful masterpiece!!
RIP Paul O'Neill.. TSO changed my life from the very first show I attended! From that point on, it became tradition to at least watch the "Ghost of Christmas eve" if not go to the show during the holiday. I will never forget that feeling. Thank you.
For those of us who may not know, Paul O'Neil who started tso was with a group called sabotage and wow. Listen to a song O'Neil wrote called when the crowd is gone Bob fm parkville
Oh I watched this since 2002 at two times. In the beginning at the end of November till the end at this time on 6.th January. And I do it on VHS! And so I have to leave it now!
We've been to TSO concert last 7 years in Cincinnati. Went to this one tonight and it was absolutely fabulous--my favorite yet. Merry Christmas and holiday blessings to all . See it if you can!
One of the most fantastic shows of Christma i have ever witnessed Cry each time i see this production! Even though Christmas is only a number of weeks away inreality Happy Holidays toone and all each day of the year!

I remember watching this when I was a kid. Haven't seen it for years, I'm so glad I found it. Now I can share it with my kids. It's the best mix of orchestra and rock music with a story to tell. They don't make stuff like this anymore.
I first saw this on BBC 9 years ago. I recorded it and watched it every year until last year when it somehow got deleted. Thankyou for posting this you made my christmas.
Thank you for uploading this! I'm a huge fan of the TSO and seen them in concert every year in California (for 5 years). I've never seen the "TV version". This is great.
I remember going to their concert, and when they were advertising it I was like crap having to work, but looked at the calendar, and I was off, and I didn't want to go alone, so as a birthday present to my mom, I took her to see them a few years back, and to this day if I hear their music I can picture in my head the concert.
Had my first TSO experience last year with "The Christmas Attic" and I was totally blown away. Very much looking forward to seeing this on Nov. 27. I'm hooked!
I'm sorry to hear you never got to see Daryl perform live. You missed a real treat. What a performer he was. He treated every concert like it was the final one of the tour. He always gave his all. I got to meet him after a show too and he was such a nice guy. He will be missed.
Oh My God.....I had no idea Daryl had died. I got to see TSO back in 2002 with my wife and kids. After the show we were fortunate enough to meet the band. They were great people; what amazing talents. They took pictures and we got all of their autographs. As I write this I am holding the Christmas Eve and Other Stories book signed by Darly and the others. I am so sorry to hear this. I feel like crying.
Thank you for this. I haven't been able to afford the tickets to attend a live concert so this is great for me. I love Jewel is part of it too she is so awesome too...thanks again
Looking forward to seeing TSO December 10th in D.C. Been avoiding all the shows videos to be surprised. I agree, while I like Christmas Cannon Rock, nothing gives me chills more than the original version.

+Orange Crush Oh I have no doubt, this will be our 19th year seeing TSO, and they never disappoint. Just would love to see a children's choir do Christmas Cannon, instead of the Christmas Cannon Rock. Have a wonderful Christmas!
TSO Fan # 3 Ahhh yes, now those were the Glory Days .... Real Drums and probably one of the best line-ups EVER ! It's extremely sad that they could not work things out with Tommy Farese ....
They have played this on PBS. They did it last year and I used to have on a DVR but I don't have cable now so I lost it but I'm just glad they have it on this.
At one point I had this on dvd but then I got rid of it. because Blu-ray disc had just came out at the time. and I thought this would be available on Blu-ray disc. But apparently not. I have the Trilogy box set. I don't see it here, so it must have been discontinued? Anyway, you can get the dvd on their website/store tso.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=TSOWEBWWUSD&sku=TSO58729
I'm so confused. I am looking at their website for the tour this year (2015) and it says it is a debut but this video is 3 years old. WTF? From website 9/24/2015: This year is Trans-Siberian Orchestra's live debut performance of The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve!
+david kordell This video was made back in 1998 for TV station PBS for charity. It was only supposed to be played once but was so popular, it has been replayed every year since. TSO also made a DVD which is for sale on their website. This is not an album but a compilation of songs from the 1st 2 albums I believe. They call it a "debut" as this particular show (story) has never been performed live. Only in studio. Hope this clears things up.

I agree 150%!!! I watch and listen to this every year. at one point I had the dvd and unfortunately it got lost in a move and I can't find it in any store and I would like to be able to find their cds as well. My best friend's kids weren't able to take naps without them playing at one point. xD
I have been looking for this forever. It is all amazing. However, Michael Crawford's O' Holy night is the best vocal performance I have ever heard. Freaking awesome.
It is a severe tradition to watch this on the christmas holiday with my grandpa and grandma, though... with their passing three years or so ago, i havent been able to watch this. Now, since ive finally found it, i can watch it again and dare i say, the memories are amazing..
We all have our favorite xmas shows that we enjoy watching...for example....Charlie Brown xmas or A Christmas Carol or Its A Wonderful Life and many, many more....yet, The Ghosts of Christmas Eve is very touching and the music awesome....Thank You Harajda!
Just watched this last night and it touched me so deeply b/c my daughter ran away last year and I want her home so damn bad. "This Christmas Day" means more to me now than ever.
Nah man, you're confused. All the way until 2012, they did "Christmas Eve and Other Stories", 2011 being the last year of it. In 2012 and 2013 they did "The Lost Christmas Eve", and in 2014 they did "The Christmas Attic", this year, 2015, is "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve", you can check it out on their website man, trust me. Not trying to argue man, but you're incorrect. I've seen them every year since 2008. +Orange Crush Read what was said, the very first comment. It is the THEME for their 2015 tour. The tour IS named THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS EVE. You are the one arguing. Kenshin is correct. Seen them 4 times, they are well worth the money. Merry Christmas!!!
Simply beautiful! A masterpiece indeed! Trans-Siberian Orchestra is truly above the rest! I love how they incorporate their music into rock and classical sound. Truly unique!
yes it is - I wish all of our leaders had to watch this story - there is nothing mean spirited, nothing to cause anyone harm and how anyone could hate the message is very sad actually - as I get older, it gets more meaningful and more sadly powerful but stronger towards the original meaning but it is always the little ones who make us laugh
Already bought my tickets for this years Philly 8p show. Can't wait!! It's The Ghosts of Christmas Eve again, but i really hope that they incorporate a LOT of CEAOS since this year marks it's 20th anniversary since it was released! Would love them hear do Old City Bar again!!
I love watching this R.I.P Daryl almost 10 years since you passed and you still make my soul move every time I hear or see you sing Music Box Blues. I cant wait for #TSO to get back to the UK
I manage Ossie Davis' son, Blues musician Guy Davis. I helped connect the dots for TSO to use Ossie Davis footage for this live tour. I'm looking forward to seeing the show in Boston, I never saw them and know very little about them.

Is that jewel? I didn't know they had well known singers perform with them at the the concerts
She only performed on this as part of the special. They are 2 teams on the road the west and the east team so they can't do that.

Absolutely!
I have several of their CDs. Was so tickled to see them live twice!
I have been looking for this forever. It is all amazing. However, Michael Crawford's O' Holy night is the best vocal performance I have ever heard. Freaking awesome.
Seen TSO live every year since 2003 and, weather permitting, that streak will continue this year. It's a tradition with my family. TSO rocks!!
I love the tux with no tie and unbuttoned shirt on the guitar players. It says, "I want to be formal, but I'm still here to melt some faces." :-D
If mankind would only put their manic energies into such creative endeavors might we avoid the misunderstanding and suffering that plagues this world.
I'm sorry, but 30 people are assholes, how the hell can you thumbs down this masterpiece?
Forgive them. It'll do your soul good.

Christmas canon the best song of this show
Micheal Crawford performance is what every other NOEL performance should be measured up to. Best ive ever seen in my life.
these freaking ads.....who placed them? put them at the start or end.....not in the middle of the songs!
I love watching this R.I.P Daryl almost 10 years since you passed and you still make my soul move every time I hear or see you sing Music Box Blues. I cant wait for #TSO to get back to the UK
Went to their concert with a best friend that I will always remember. Astonishing
I manage Ossie Davis' son, Blues musician Guy Davis. I helped connect the dots for TSO to use Ossie Davis footage for this live tour. I'm looking forward to seeing the show in Boston, I never saw them and know very little about them.
big dissappointment for ME this year. my dad loves going to td because he knows that place like the back of his hand (hockey fan)
Awesome !!!!! I didn't know Guy was Ossie's son....
Anyone know if Miles Davis is related? Just curious! Hes a fave too. I love Ossies voice
Rest in peace Ossie Davis!
Aww... I didn't know he passed. RIP Mr. Davis
