    This color looks amazing on you! I have been dyeing my hair various shades of red with henna for about 14 years now. Your cut is also very cute 🙂

    Im just curious, how it's suppose to dye your hair black, when in ingriedents list there are only henna (red), cassia (yellowish) and other herbs don't give any colour... It doesn't have indygo, katham or even katha.

      Black henna has an extra ingredient (coal tar which contains p-phenylenediamine) which dyes the hair black. Would not recommend doing this tho as there bad side effects of this ingredient including: tingling, burning, painful stinging, blistering, swelling, redness and at worst can lead to the permanent scarring of the skin. Also is linked to migraines. Hope this helps!

    My roots are maybe a tad bit lighter than yours in some places (ranges from dark blonde to medium brown all over). Tried the black in Surya Brasil and it just turned everything copperish. Will be trying this next!

    Do you cover your hair while processing?

    • @jessicah3450

      That helps it not dry out, since it should stay on the hair a minimum of 2 hours. A plastic shower cap or a plastic grocery bag tied over long hair both work!

      Bebes…. I have done this many times and did a lot of research into these herbal hair dyes… the black one is indigo and IT DOES NOT COME OUT. if you try to bleach it it will turn green. It literally stains the hair forever. I had to cut mine to get rid of it lol

      I haven’t tried henna, but it’s best to do 2 step for gray- first just henna and then next step you can do henna indigo over it. Henna itself could make the grays look orange. Light Mountain henna makes 2 step kind for grays.

      @@enclavelieutenant8614 henna that is not pure can have PPD in it and mixing with metal can react with the PPD. Just get your henna from someone reputable like Hennasooq and you don't have to worry about the dangers of PPD.

      @@sickandtired2023oh thx, u seem more educated on the subject so why were at it.. does henna damage ur hair and dry it out?

    • @sickandtired2023
      @sickandtired2023 Рік тому +1

      @@enclavelieutenant8614 Actually it's quite the opposite with henna it repairs damage because the lawsone attaches to broken areas of the cuticle and henna is actually conditioning for the hair. The reason why people say it feels drying is because the cuticles are temporarily lifted after applying henna, which can be eased by using aloe powder mixed in with henna and deep conditioning after rinsing it out. The other reasons henna could be drying is if it's left on too long because anything more than four hours or five and henna will try to rehydrate itself if it drys out on your scalp by drawing moisture from the hair that's why you wrap your head in saran wrap to keep the henna wet on your hair. You also want to be careful of what your adding to your henna too for example lemon juice should be avoided as it's very drying for the hair.
