Matt is a new find for me, he was on CBC on Sunday, he had just returned from winning a big blues competition in the States(lol my last comment about competition in music, on Matts Country Roads). Les all hope that Matt keeps getting the recognition he deserves so that he can keep making music for us.

He does incredible versions of Johnny Cash's "Long Black Veil" and John Denver's "Country Roads" too. However, I can't find them on youtube, guess you have to buy his cd, extremely worthwhile purchase, you won't regret it.

Caught him at the Casino free before he took right off, and seen him at the Rebecca Cohn with Mike Stevens Great harmonica man, to see both of them was a real treat. Ever since seeing him handle an acoustic like some can't even manage on an electric, all over the fret board and givin' er? I was totally blown away ever time I seen him play, and if all goes well may get to see him twice this year!
