Hey Darren, it seems you're misunderstanding a small thing about the letters. The influence range of the post offices do not determine who gets the letters; only who generates it. That is.. if you want your scholars to get letters, but wouldn't have room next to them.. you can generate the letters anywhere else on the island - or a completely different island alltogether. Eventually you'd still want most of your island covered by post offices and such ofc, but that's a generation issue, not a distribution issue.. as far as I understand it! Hope that helps.
Happy belated birthday! Glad to see you back playing Anno. I used to start over again and again, but since I started watching your Let's Play, I've managed to play further than ever before and actually having fun reorganising my islands and production chains ... thank you for making it look like so much fun!
Love it, good to see you back playing Anno! I always find it so hard to jump back into this game after months off. I wish there was a notepad like Satisfactory has so we could leave notes to ourselves about we were up to last we played.
These new numbers in Production statistics, like 5/1, they mean /, so you have for example 5t mail produced by 1 building (If you look at Puerto Benus now, it should say /4, because you have 1 post office and 3 mailboxes. Also, investors don't get influence from lifestyle. Aaaand, lifestyle bonus residents don't require more of regular supply.
I don't think you have to remove scholar houses, you just need any houses on the island generating local mail, then you can supply it to scholars. At least that's how I understand it.
Yes, I thought when it said how many houses were being supplied it meant they were consuming it. I get it now though, you could have just one post office and if it was supplying more than you need then everyone gets mail! Thanks for the heads up!
finally, i subscribed years ago because i believed this was going to be the best lube channel, so i am extremely pleased that there will finally be a lube video.
If you really want the mail collection to cover the scholars you could opt for litering mailboxes around the campus. I dont think the scholars would have the patience to line up in a post office to get their mail delivered.
Wow! My comment finally came true :) by the way have you got video about seeds of change because i have been running out of plantains lately.... I really need help with it, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK cant wait to see more anno :)
Seeds of Change was first activated in my game here: Ep79 - ua-cam.com/video/Ho7aQGd-dyk/v-deo.html I did also make a review at the time here: ua-cam.com/video/HkqajsigcUE/v-deo.html So really from episode 79 to about 84 is where I sort of "completed" the Seeds of Change content, making fertilizer and sending it around the world. Not sure if I can help specifically with Plantains, I can't say I had the issue of needing a lot of them... I don't think.
@@WhatDarrenPlays I watched the review... seeds of change were much more complicated than i thought.... anyways it looks like it will help and you explain it in a nice way so yeah thanks for all :)
@@WhatDarrenPlays Sorry for being extremely annoying and disturbing you... but dlc got me by surprise and i dont think you mentioned it in the video... so my question is does the new dlc affect the arctic storyline
I’ve only just played this hour so far, and as far as I know DLC’s dont affect eachother (because you might only own this one and not the Arctic for instance)
@@WhatDarrenPlays Oh ok thanks for letting me know because i have all dlc and i was worried that empire of the skies will ruin the storyline, also thanks for hacienda vid it helped me a lot.
What are the chances, lol? I looked up Anno 1800 to see some gameplay of the new DLC and saw that you uploaded a video a couple minutes ago (after not uplaoding for ages) :D
Would you consider starting a new playthrough for Anno with the new DLCs, so we could see how you would do things if you had the newest DLCs from the beginning??
Problem with Anno is that AI jsut "cheats" and spawns whatever it needs in a set dependign on thne difficulty you choose it doesnt really act as a player but jsut "spawns" stuff
As someone who has a degree in game development, its an unfortunate reality that almost every AI in every strategy game cheats. I guess its just about how well they hide it. I haven't really noticed cheats in this game, but then again, I don't really pay much attention to the AI companies. I easily beat Margaret way back in the earlier part of the game about 30hrs in when she was gobbling up islands. If anything I'd give them more cheats because they're pretty easy :P
@@WhatDarrenPlays I feel like for example paradox AI's tend to play the game with the player rules, but Anno AI just cheats and spawn thing sin bulk, they dont have to follow production lines or anything, im not really talking about harder or easier difficulties I would just like the AI to play the game.
Yes, but as an English speaking person, its pronounced ha-see-en-duh. A quick google says this is the correct British pronunciation. I appreciate the catch though, but as with many, many words in this game and other historical games, I don’t feel its quite right to flip the pronounciation between the origin countries of words.
Finally! I would like to see a new Anno 1800 let's play with all DLC enabled... that would be bomb.

So glad you are back with Anno. I love your enthusiasm for this game.
really love when you play Anno 1800, there is just something about you and that game
What?? Anno let’s goooooo!!!!

The spectacles in Taborime were produced by the Festival of Hytia. They dissapeared from the menu because the festival ended when you got confused.
Im so glad to see Anno series back!

Great to see you are back with Anno! Hoping for some regular uploads of the new DLC.
finally we missed u and the anno playthrough
So happy you're back playing Anno had a blast with this series, can't wait for more
It's crazy how much stuff they've added so far and expanded the original package. Such a great support.

Back on Anno !!!!! YAAAAYYYY!!!
dude! welcome back. I've been waiting for your review on the new DLC.
I don’t do reviews anymore I’m afraid, I’ll just be playing it
@@WhatDarrenPlays you should make one, I believe I'm not the only one who is waiting for your review.
"Just make sure you brew the rum in a different barrel than the hot sauce."
I really enjoy the new lifestyle needs, they're useful even in early-midgame
So glad to see a new Anno! Maybe Mailboxes instead of post offices for the Scholars would work.
I'll have to optimize my playthrough again.
Strait up luub! hahahahaha, Brilliant absolutely brilliant
Just found you video... Love the content so have to subscribe and will have plenty of videos to catch up on..
This is a cool dlc. A big challenge too!
Oh my you’re catching up fast 😂
good news on your health. I am happy for you. And of course, keep up with good videos :)
I think you are getting mail mixed up. The post office and post box produce mail, but consumption doesn’t require a post office or post box near it.
Yes, I thought when it said how many houses were being supplied it meant they were consuming it.

So good to have anno back 😁
Welcome home, Darren.......welcome home.
hi there, just a question, is there any other fight exept ships battle? thanks
Nope, just ships
@@WhatDarrenPlays ok :)
they should have allowed the overlap of circles but any over lapping circle wouldnt double the effects
Finally you are playing Anno, i only enjoy watching you play Anno no one else. Please play more
finally, i subscribed years ago because i believed this was going to be the best lube channel, so i am extremely pleased that there will finally be a lube video.
Apparently there's combat airships now?! Yes please!
Hey Republic, any chance you could provide an up to date seed number please? As 1919 no longer works.

Name your "lifestyle" cargo ships after various 'lifestyle' magazines perhaps?
the bauxite mine can in fact support nine smelters

I would like if you were to go to war with someone cause I feel as if this series need to be spiced up
Just a quick note (not trying to criticize here) but hacienda is pronounced ah-see-en-da. The word is in Spanish meaning the “h” is silent
