Brighton is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove. Located on the south coast of England, in the county of East Sussex, it is 47 miles south of London.
Brighton is famous for its stunning seaside, soaring observation tower, and iconic Palace Pier. It is known throughout the United Kingdom for its open-minded community and LGBTQ+ population, as well as its bohemian atmosphere and eco-friendly spirit. And not to forget Brighton and Hove Albion F.C. and the South Downs.
Brighton is one of the happiest places to live and work. Famed for its seaside views, vibrant culture, quaint shops and out-of-hours attractions, more Brits would choose this South Coast spot over other British locations.
We also take a look at Quadrophenia Alley - The setting for Phil Daniels' and Leslie Ash's notoriously intimate scene in Franc Roddam's 1979 tale of youth and rebellion, Quadrophenia. The film features lots of other Brighton locations, including The Grand Hotel, Madeira Drive, the entrance to Brighton Sea Life Center and Beachy Head.
The cult film was set in Brighton in 1964, the period of the Mods and Rockers. In May 1964, masses of mods and rockers descended from London onto Brighton Beach, resulting in a mass fight that shocked the nation. It ended with people throwing bins, deckchairs, and stones.
Quadrophenia Alley is located between number 10 and 11 East Street Brighton and was the location for a scene in the 1979 film Quadrophenia. The Alley has become a shrine to the Mod movement,[ and people come from all over the world to find this alleyway. The cult film was set in Brighton in 1964, the period of the Mods and Rockers.

Love Brighton,had my first ever Biriany in a lovely restaurant.As for Quadrophenia, it was a great era for music in general but The Who wrote great music and Quadrophenia captured the spirit of the young at the time.I had a friend who went there at the time when there was the fight between Mods and Rockers ,they asked me if I wanted to go,I didn't. I was 17 at the time and would have got into deep trouble.😂

Brighton...once you get away from the sea front its, well, a bit of run down dump, IMO
