first I had that issue of slight unrelatability, some pretentiousness or fakeness in the characters,... but by the middle I got invested in Sam and k. I really started to relate with Sam. Also thanks to the Gorgeous atmosphere and music( at times I jus dint care wat was happening. I was so mesmerized by the beauty of the music and and the cinematography). The music fitted too well with the story itself. I totally agree on what u said about Ilayaraja's music in this series. I found this episode so so seductive. It felt like an escape into a beautiful alternative reality and I did not want it to end. like the characters said I want to see what happened before that Thursday. I want to see their whole lives. just to be immersed in those colours and the music. Also I weirdly got some psychological thriller vibes by the end. haha :)
My reading of the ending: The couple happily lives ever after "in the fantasy world she imagined"! That's it. There are several clues. Obvious one is the warning by the psychiatrist. The doctor tells her "we induced coma to operate". I don't think I have ever heard such a thing before. Also, the boy remembers only her and nobody else (he mentions this towards the end). If she imagined, such a thing could happen, as she wouldn't know his memories she is not aware of. Also, when she says about meeting him to the psychiatrist on the phone, the doctor is worried in such a way that is impossible. The boy probably died in the accident, (or he even never existed in the first place?). In conclusion, the girl entered into the world she imagined with him.

I am not able to decide whether I liked the movie or not!! Its confusing .. I think the movie might be seemed more good if the director revealed what really happened at the end.. Or he could have explained all the possible theories in any way and leave us to decide.. but this feels so incomplete and I am just expecting someone to explain all the possible theories !!!
I think second viewing is enough to understand the film. So many details, so many hints on every scene.

Among all these shorts, TK's short had more elements of love. Sam is obsessed with K, she misses him, she is in depression for him. For the lady' s prophecy Sam feels insecure, and she is constantly bugging him asking if K will leave her for any reason. And most of all they are very comfortable with each other. Laughing their hearts out. Ofcourse, the love making. I believe all these are expressions of too much love. They are in their raw form. ❤
I was thinking how he is gonna make a romantic film. This man surprised me. I have never seen a romantic movie to turn out to be this intriguing and curious. So much respect for TK. Feeling lucky to be a contemporary audience of his work.

My perspective is that after sam‘s breakup she takes one thing from k and that is his first script and later we see that her psychiatrist tells her that meds are very vital for her(red pills). Later in one scene where she is searching for toilet paper on the cupboard we can see 3-4 redpill box completely filled. I believe she has not been taking her meds, and after her breakup she‘s been hallucinating scenes from the script. In last scene with the convo with doc is so confusing. Doc doesn’t seem to know who ‚k‘ is maybe its his onscreen name, and when she says its raining heavily doc asks where is it raining. Maybe its all a hallucination but like tk said everyone can have their perspective and its just mine 😂

Another thing is that,maybe the doc doesn’t know abt k’s condition that he remembers everything now and which is why she is confused and during the call it was not raining and Sam said it’s about to rain.
My Assumption, it may be right or wrong!
The movie starts with Sam hallucinating the opening scene of K's script with K. But in reality, they had a hard breakup when Sam tells K about her abortion, it was because she had a relationship with the other guy (Pogi). This was the reason for their breakup (May or may not be).
After the sex scene (with the BG music), Sam receives text on her phone (It made us think it's was from K, but it's not), the DP of the guy looks like the dancing guy at the club (Pogi), it depicted as Sam was having sex with the club guy, even being in a relationship K for the past 6 months.
When she tells about the abortion to K, that scene was her hallucination, because she talks about the Joshiyakara lady who is from another hallucinated scene. (Joshiakara lady character is the psychiatrist in real life)
Sam always hallucinates K's character as a strong person(May be based on his script), but during her breakup and other coma character scenes, he looks like an emotionally weak and sensitive person. (May be in reality he is so)
When K's sister came to Sam's home to ask her to meet K in the hospital, she say's "You can save him", this proves that Sam is imagining even this scene to create a scenario to hallucinate K's return with memory loss, but he died already.
Sam couldn't accept the loss of K and went to this delusion thing and started hallucinating like living with him and meeting him once again, and imagining that he forgot everything except Sam before their breakup.
In the hallucination scenes, she only lives the good moments which were from the script by K, and imagine meeting K once again and sharing the good moments alone.
It proves that K is dead and Sam is hallucinating the entire coma K when the doctor calls Sam, and asks "What do you mean that you met K" and also she Sam says and imagines about the rain which could be also her hallucination, as both Sam and K drenched in rain when entering Sam's house, and when Sam returns to close the door, her clothes were dry.
I'm not sure but maybe the entire K story and living with him is a complete hallucination by Sam. Or may be many things there as others commented.

Sam could be schizoid, delusional.. Schizoid, schizophrenia is a condition where people hear voices and see things. The rest of the people cannot see those things. This sense of altered reality makes the schizoid people so vulnerable. The people who have had fetal distress, post natal stress, childhood trauma and stress are more susceptible to schizophrenia in later part of their life.. The events that trigger them maybe a severe trauma...
K always wears a ring which could be his engagement ring when they had break up sex, first time they met at a movie set or even in the hospital scenes. Past or delusions everywhere he's a with a ring which is shown to us deliberately in the beginning. Josiyakara lady also says unaku rendu pondatti . He lives 6 months with Sam & moves away to marry someone else. 21st July Thursday they met as she reads the paper in diary and their first whatsapp chats were from 21-22 nd July. K was a real character .
Sam visiting the hospitals are like accessing her memory scenes as if time is dimensional & shown in a holywood movie . This clearly says her hospital visits to meet K are purely delusional.
Sam conveys she never cheated on him and only she knows the truth and not what K thinks as a bad reason for breakup . Sam didn't make any mistakes and the whatsapp chat was only with K and not with POGI as said by many. May be the sex scene before checking mobile was itself a hallucination . She reads a memory note where it's written "I fuckin made a mistake " this shows any of her unexplainable situation lead them to breakup and not K's death.
Sam & K met at movie set and fell in love . Reason for breakup is definitely due to a doubt from K on her infedelity but she refuses the reason even in her delusions at the manipulation scene.In one voice note psychatrist says Sam you believe you have chance with K and to take pills properly. This clearly says K didn't die , it's only a breakup 100 %. Chance with K makes us believe she's trying to have her 2nd chance , if he's dead the psychatrist would have told he's dead.
Psychatrist & her assistant (could be heard saying asking one patient to wait ) are the Josiayakara laddy and the oldie assistant with her. They are treating Sam for the unexplained breakup with K and ask here to kick of his memories and throw away things . In one scene she says she have to go out and return by Thursday . This could be for her Thursday session visit to the psychatrist.
Sam is 100 % on love with K and when their relationship failed she tries to have "happily lived after" moments in her life by rethinking the good time they had in the past.
The script which she had was the movie script itself and fits her thinking according to the script alone. .That's the reason she told to psychatrist meeting K in person would help her and she knows her condition before the rain scene . Her expectation is to shut the door and move away from K . Instead she opens the door and enters into delusion again ......
I’m naturally an over thinker but trying to keep my analysis about the conclusion of this movie simple on purpose. To decipher TK’s original intent we will need to get into his head using his movies and interviews. I maybe wrong but I think his philosophy on life is quite simple on a fundamental level though it may appear convoluted on the surface. His films challenge the commonly accepted idea of morality or what’s right and wrong. There’s no one way to live life as long as our actions don’t result in adverse consequences to people around us. In the story, K is gone for good from Sam’s life. maybe he disappeared from her life after a nasty breakup or his death followed their breakup. Nevertheless, he isn’t coming back. As a result of this, Sam is treated for depression and while she promises to make progress she eventually flips back into darkness. She lets delusion take over her mind, rewrites her love story into a happily ever after story, shuts the doors to reality and lives with K in her mind. Who’s to judge her decision. There is no one right way to live, just that her delusion is not compatible with the collective delusion of the rest of us. She does what makes her happy ❤
Another philosophy which TK apparently shows in his movies is that, Sex is the ultimate reason for all our actions. There is even a dialogue in this movie "Idhellam mating ritual dhan".
Saw his interview with BR today. He speaks like a Zen, calm and composed. He said that he doesn't like to do movies which was very shocking for me 😢. Never saw any filmmaker saying they don't like to do movies
Why is it that shocking to you ? Sometimes actors don't like acting for a while at some point and they will come back , also TK just made 2 movies so this is just obvious for a long time.

I feel that starting from shooting in the sets where K meets Sam smoking to two stars colliding each other in the sky is the real story.apart from that , it is K's story script for making a film which he shares it with Sam while having good coffee(alcohol) with # Sin with us in the background.

I think the beauty of the story is how your memories or "ninaivugal" can warp your perception of a person or time, here a loved one. There are many interpretations to this, but one of my interpretations, I see this as Sam's "trip" down memory lane to recall the love she had for him and experience the best parts of it. Pretty poetic if you ask me, especially if this also her grieving process.
Sam is in cancer so, tk mentioned that cancer kuchigal thats the thing sam hide from k thats the reason for breakup ,ending is hallucinations,then hallucinations maybe side effects of cancer,so ,sam make disscusion what could be our reason to break up as the fortune teller said

Sam will have a psychiatrist in the movie which is directed by k in that script when she hallucinates she sees that josiyar in her halllucinations.
Josyar is imaginary.. psychiatrist is real.. 1 scene before Climax where she hugs k and they both get inside the house is Sam's imagination last Scene where Sam closes the door is real.. she is alone and she is deeply sad and depressed her face would show that..which means that both k n Sam are not together.. what happened to k? Probably he died n that's the reason she got into such mental health issue and seeked psychiatrist help.. I felt that for a break up Sam may not feel that depressed to the extent of taking red pills..
May be after that accident k was not alive and she was not taking her pills constantly makes her to hallucinate him in her thoughts and thats why the conversation with the doc was so interesting saying “where it is raining “ and “did u meet k “ by the doc made sense -ninaivo oru paravai

I think TK will irritate everybody who loves his work, because of arrogance he has over his craft/art. Open ending is fine…guessing is fine, but not showing/explaining some main well built moments like why they broke up is total torture than guessing and all stuffs….. I feel like he is trying show us that h is smart than he everybody who perceives his work. Organic open ending…..organic open guessing are fine. But not forced open ending or not showing the moments. I admire his craft of making but not this movie. #disappointed

When you're name is fourth when searched 'Thya...' on google, you can do whatever you want. Thyagaraja Kumara Raja, someone who completed cinema for me. When I started to realize age, I've started loving movies. It's messaging. The story. And off course the story. In stories if we could tell many stories in one go it serves the purpose of story telling than telling a few lines of a story in so many hours. This man is that, he but went a step higher. He not only makes you watch many stories, but also makes you think stories. More than answers, we get questions to discuss after watching his movies. That's the beauty of stories in Movies, that's why we're watching movies, to have some perspectives. And, here you have a wide spread leaf full of meals. Like you rightly told.

My perspective is that Sam and k did break up and k did have an accident where he ended up in a coma then lost his memories but only remembers Sam. Why I think this is true is because the Morden love stories all are inspired from true stories and this is the part of the story that is real. I believe Sam got mentally I’ll after finding out that k is in a coma because of her due to the break up. I sister tells her this information and she has to visit k and tell him the stories of them to revoke his memory but what she told k was part of the script which was inspired from they love story. It’s not actually true story but it was inspired by they love. I do believe Sam didn’t intentionally do this but as part of her hallucination she believes the script is they true love story. We also see K as this brave and very open minded person but that k is part of the script and the there’s only two times we see k actually being emotional which I believe is the real k. Sam did not tell k the real reason they broke up but she mentioned about the abortion and how k reacted to it but later near the end K questions her how I can believe what you are saying is the truth and what if you are manipulating it. The beginning and ending are also part of the script. We actually just saw properly just 5/10% of the real and everything else was part of the script.

But, I won't give you the whole; because it will be the spoiler of the film; where the other people will get lack of fascination due to that...
* In that script, it was purely typewritten...but, two pages are handwritten...Both handwritings are totally different...One page, where it says 'Ithu Hallucination endaa......' is similar to the handwriting of the Sticky note handwriting 'I fucked up....'; it concludes the handwriting of Sam...Same time, another handwritten note on the script dated Jul 22, 2022 the first meet of two characters, more alike the handwritten text on toilet paper; presumably written by K (ஒ enda letter looks same in both texts)...So, it is obvious that the story is the hallucination of Sam...
* The whole story is about 2 theorems... Last Thursdayism and Butterfly dream...Both theorems are related to Hallucinations...So, simply it justifies it...(For your information, as per the story, Sam and K was met on 21.Jul.2022 was a Thursday and in the Last scene was also happened in Thursday, it was Sam's Clinic day where in the voice note her psychiatrist asked to meet her...also, Thursday comes moreover in the film)...
* In the scene where they were sat together in the bar sequence, he told the story and narrated the 2nd scene where Sam was counselling with psychiatrist...Yepp...but, if that's reality, then Sam interrupts and take K her home and slept with him... After that scene, when she asked to tell a scene from his script, he narrates the ending scene where Sam again meet K at the same bar; further he says that scene by mentioning 'as I said when Sam and K were hugged in the hospital, suddenly Sam withdrew and ran...In such case, ending and Hospital scene also real, if the 1st meeting at the bar scene was real... Actually, that scenes creates doubts...I feel, it was hallucinations of Sam...bcoz, it was not showed as mentioned in the handwritten notes of K, when he spoke about his first meet with Sam...He simply says, that he met in the patchwork dance sequence in the coffee shop...so, the Bar scene was also the hallucinations, in such case...
* In psychiatrist scene, she takes Red Pill, in the other where it is showed a Blue Pill...'Blue Pill - Smith' and 'Red Pill - Morpheus' were already detailed in the film 'The Matrix'...Simply, Bule Phill is for Hallucinations and Red Phill is for Reality...That psychiatrist gives the Red Pill to Sam where it clearly indicates that Sam is hallucinating and the psychiatrist wants to recover Sam by giving Red Pill...So, the story is all about hallucination of Sam...You can understand the same thing in the last scene, where Sam was contacted by her psychiatrist over phone, and Sam says that she met K and whilst on her way to home, is going to rain; where her psychiatrist objects both statements in some way...Further, in the final shot when she was totally drenched before entering the house, no more drenched whilst closing the door afterwards...It says clearly about the hallucinations of Sam and the reality is, she was at home in the final phase...So, we can come to the conclusion that the Psychiatrist is a reality... However, anyone can say, as per the scene of that script, the typewritten notes were showed up to the scene of the Josiyar Lady...After that it is not showed; it is handwritten notes, most presumably by Sam...But, if you clearly look into that page, you can see the specular of other typewritten notes on other side of the page...
* Further, if you read the script of the first scene, it has not contain the word "Was it good" as Sam asks in the first scene after love making...Instead of that, in the script is says as "Unakku"...Like, when she says the old philosophical question of that "Yaarumae illatha oru kaattila, maram vilunthaa Saththam kedukumaa" (If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?) is not actually on the script...Like there were other certain dialogues, were actually not on the script, but uttered by Sam...In such case, it was clearly indicating that the story is mostly all about hallucination of Sam...
As per my understanding is, that K was died in an accident after some days of break-up; So, the hospital scenes and the final scenes were delusions...But, what is confusing me in this film is 'timeline'...Sam and K met on 21.Jul.2022 and the intense orgasm scene happened in Feb 2023 (Almost after 6 months)...But, in the last scene of drenching in rain, K said he was met with an accident before 6 months...If so, then all other scenes after 1st meet and lovemaking scene on the bed were delusional...In that case, psychiatrist character also fictional...
Based on the above; you can decode the whole film (episode) which is a hallucinations of the character...😔😔😔
I have just spoiled the film by revealing my understanding...
But whatever it is, I would like to tell this;

I think it’s from the script,if we pause the movie when Sam reads the script,last scene is fully described there but that was the first draft from K meaning there might be other endings /drafts , we saw like when they see stars , or the whole story is from 1draft is rewritten after k is back from coma.
The beauty of this short movie is that it’s filled with multiple interpretations and it creates divide among audiences who likes or not meaning ,the mind set they see these films.
