Welcome to my first video of 2024! I wanted to start off the new year by doing an old art redraw! Redrawing old art is a great way to check the progress of your art and it’s also fun to see how your art style changes over time!

I'm sorry if I'm sounding negative but the older drawings looks more appealing to this new one. The only thing I would change about the older painting is the piggy nose.
This new jasmine looks more black skin tone. Even the dress and the hair looks unsaturated. 😅
No worries!! Because both styles are so different, I think it just comes down to preference. Neither style is bad, i think in the original I relied too much on oversaturated colors so when I did this redraw I didn’t use many saturated colors because I felt like it was so overpowering in the first one. I’m getting better about adding brighter colors into my artwork but it’s a balance I’m still learning for sure! I appreciate the different perspective❤️
