The Prepatch doesn't have a lot of things you need to do if you are above ilvl 500 on your main but it's a good way to get caught up on any fresh 70's or to gear up a new main. Also that heirloom ring isn't bad to chase after.

I work a lot and I usually play at night ( pst) from 10pm to 4 am on the weekends and all the guilds on my server at DEAD , I’ve rotated different guilds on my server but I always wondered if there are guilds on other servers that are active at that time . This gave me hope because I have 0 friends and struggle to do content .
New character selection screen looks like another triumph of style over function. Instead of just giving us a screen or two of character thumbnails with info attached we'll have to scroll down a list of possibly 60+ entries to find what we want. Unless we happen to remember the exact name and exact spelling of the character we're looking for. But I guess the camp fire scene is very cute. And gee I care so much about "cute."

You dont have to use it. There is an ability you get that can toggle skyriding or the old flying.
