      Right on JB! Me too, I'm in BIG! I've never in my life had the confidence I do in Portillo's. This is that once in a lifetime chance. You know the stories that say "If You would have invested $10,000 in this company in their IPO this is how much You would have today"? This is one of those and it's a certainty if You know this restaurant. Screw all the early on technical analysis. They will NOT get it right on this one.

    • @abanikka
      @abanikka Рік тому +1

      I forgot to add JB I do believe it'll be longer than 5 years though. I say anywhere from 15 to 25 years and a $10K investment will probably turn into over a million dollars.

    $9.75 is the average spend......seriously. I can't remember ever spending less than $20 at Portillo's. A regular roast beef sandwich with crickle fries and a large soda is $20+.

  • @abanikka
    @abanikka Рік тому +2

    $9.75 average customer spend? Ha.......I've never spent less than $40.00 for Myself, Wife and Daughter. BUT.....I keep going back and will continue to go back. They're a great eating experience. And the majority of the country still knows nothing of Portillo's. But they will without a doubt. I grew up in Chicago western suburbs and my Dad took me to their #2 trailer in Glendale Heights as a kid. If I'm correct in memory it also said 'The Dog House' on it like the first one in Villa Park. I've eaten at this establishment all my life. It will NOT fail!

    • @jacobmarley2417
      @jacobmarley2417 2 місяці тому +1

      9.75 per customer and you listed 3 customers being $40 for your average to be 13.33…That is not a very radical discrepancy at 26% if my math is correct.
      I also doubt the CEO was adding tax into that equation since it varies and is not part of their charging control but perhaps i am wrong.

      No, no, no! Are You an outsider looking in with technical analysis etc??? Although some of what You're eluding to may come to fruition, You need to know it doesn't stop there. These guys are WAY TOO good to end there. Of course some financial interests may come along and attempt to hijack or exploit an opportunity. But they'll also be losing their butts BIG TIME if they do that and other interests will come along and see the reality of what this is. Their single store sales are presently the highest on record of any fast food establishment and that will not change. I'm a Chicagoan who grew up spoiled rotten with the Portillo's experience. Make no mistake and You can ask any Chicagoan, Portillo's will be known on the same level as McD's, Wendy's, Chipotle etc......... It's a guarantee. I care not what happens with the stock over the next 5-10 years. It's 15- 25 years I care about. I'm in for 20K.

    Abundant portions??? The italian beef and big beef are now 2/3 the width it used to be. Thats how they kept the prices "low" and it was never a bargain to begin with. Now that its a publicly traded company, its all about profits.

    Going into a store versus a driver thru or a home delivery are 2 completely different outcomes. In store is great. The other is usually missing food, wrong food, made wrong. You have work to do on drive thru and home delivery quality. My experiences are at Bloomingdale and Schaumburg stores for drive thru and home delivery.

    I have taken a complete beating owning this stock because of stock dilution and Berkshire actions. I wish I had waited till six months after it went IPO . PTLO needs to give more love to its investors stock holders. their investor relations does not respond to questions in a timely manner. While the food and product and experience is great the on going stock dilution and Berkshire interference is holding this stock back. This company needs to take care of those that have taken care of them the stock holders.
    My perception they have not shown loyalty to the current shareholders maybe it is they are too new to have stock holders and do
    Not understand that they need to protect our investment.
    I invested day one and added to my position…BOY WHAT A MISTAKE I MADE
    Good food and service does not always mean a company will protect its investors

      Look! You invest in a company like this as a LONG TERM bet. Not a silly freakin year or two. I'm in for 20K and if I lose half of it by next year it means absolutely nothing to me and why? Because I grew up eating at this restaurant since I was 8 years old. Ask any Chicagoan. They are the BEST! I don't know how much You have invested but I'm about positive a 10K investment will yield well over a million dollars within 25 years. Thiis is like getting Amazon at it's IPO. You need to understand that any attempt to exploit the situation through stock dilution will find themselves at the losing end of it all. There is SOOOO much more money to made in this company outside of diluting shares. Look, it's WAY too early to make a stock dilution call. The stagnated price since the IPO is absolutely normal taking all the economic events and the cost of going public. With any real normalcy as a truly credible future monster it needs to be very slow and easy. Not through the roof in two years. If You sell, You are fool! This stock will eventually see $600- $900/shr and multiple splits. And at present their single store sales are three times what McD's has ever been.

    Now the big question is if you don’t have cash for Portillo’s and people want to budget their money now we can’t budget our debit card. What can we use and can’t use now you’re using our own card and that goes to you and how you’re raising the price on Portillos now I don’t agree with you.
