The game shows it decreasing because the Collection treats the Mirror as a 1-Elixir card. However, your AEC would actually go up because instead of your eighth slot being filled with a 6-Elixir card, it would be either an 8-, 9-, or 10-Elixir card. Your average would go from 7.3 to 7.6 (new average obtained by averaging the three possible deck averages with the final number being each of the three possible values for the cost of the Mirror (7.5 for 8, 7.625, or 7.6, for 9, and 7.75, or 7.8, for 10), treating it as if it had a set value).
