Thanks! We only get about a 4 hour painting window this time of year, so it makes things kinda hectic. But, other than that exteriors are great!
Very helpful. The side of my trim is a lot wider than yours so I thought it would look awesome to paint the two sides of the trim one color so it contrasts with the siding, meeting with a neat line in the corner, but that is way tedious with the lap siding I have. I like your technique better and I'll do that tomorrow. Thank you!

What type of paint do you recommend for exterior trim and windows? There are so many options. I think they originally used cheap latex.
We always use Resilience from sherwin williams!
If painting exterior trim with a semi-gloss and it needs two coats, do you sand between coats, use a deglosser, or not do anything and paint over the first coat?

I don't claim to be an expert, or even a very good DIYer. That being said, I see when you're painting the trim around the window there's a line of light paint on the olive coat on the clapboard (if I'm even using the right term there). Like at 5:21 of the video. How to keep that from happening? Furthermore, how does one go about getting the paint into that minigap area, where the trim covers the end of the clapboard?
I believe the light paint you're seeing is the sheen reflecting light from the sun.
I’m jealous of anyone who can get rolls of tape on their arm. My hands are too fat
I used your suggestion of 3M masking tape instead of painters tape on my wood/vinyl trim and it took 8 hours to remove, caused bleed through and resulted in peeling off some of my new paint!
Wow! Never had it do that on me unless I left it on for more than a day or two.
