It’s super exciting to hear that there will be focus on the food. I don’t live near the colorado area and I’ve never been to Casa Bonita but this makes me want to go badly!!
Great video!! Super excited, but Southpark did not make Casa Bonita famous, yes it highlighted it, the creators bought it but CB has been a tourist attraction WAY before South Park was a thing ;)
It's true, I remember it being a big deal back in elementary school before South Park started airing. Grew up in Castle Rock about halfway between Denver and Colorado Springs
The best way is to stick to authenticity and not try to make it good by making it look fancy. In restaurants, so many plates look fancy and taste horrible or lack flavor. If they can pull flavorful authentic plates, cleanliness, and great customer service... I bet the place will boom! Given the fact that it already has the South Park hype.
Prices are not worth it. 😕 I know plenty of restaurants with authentic Mexican food at half the cost 😋. I have been going to Casa Bonita since I was a kid but not nearly as expensive as it is now. I will not go back any longer. I am a Colorado Native and will die a Colorado Native.
south park matt and trey are gods... they took a well known place and landmark... put it in there show... the world learned about it... and now have bought it and plan to revamp it up.. i hope this place explodes with success
I mean the reporter is American lolll he’s going to speak in his normal intonation. He’s just pronouncing the Spanish words the way they’re supposed to be pronounced?
Wow it's a good thing South Park came out or Nobody would've heard about casa bonita 🙄. Also how is she famous I never heard of her before the casa bonita thing, I've lived in Denver for 44 years
The only thing I have to say... Is that the Cheese Enchiladas had better be exactly the same as before. Casa Bonita is a TEX-MEX restaurant, and it's TEX-MEX that we want.
Lmao, nah. They're going authentic Mexican, La Loca is way too talented to be putting that Tex-Mex garbage onto plates. If people in Colorado wanted Tex-Mex, they'd go to Texas.
@@vashstampede2284 Say goodbye to Taco Bell in all 50 states! Looks like we can only eat Tex-Mex in TEXAS according to this idiot! Don't goto the grocery store, or your local sushi restaurant for sushi, you can only eat that in Japan! Goodbye KFC, you gotta goto Kentucky for Kentucky fried chicken! Cya POPEYES, goto Louisiana for beans & rice. AND DON'T EVEN THINK about going to the "new" CASA BONITA II, you have to goto MEXICO to get MEXICAN FOOD! RIP CASA BONITA I. Vash, you brain is literally worse than Casa Bonita's original food. Try using logic next time.
@Your Regular Texan lol I grew up in Texas, but let's be real. There is a lot of crap tex mex and a few real gems. However, I've been hard-pressed to find "bad" Mexican food here. Plus, that green chili is next level good.

I am really cheering for the new Casa to be a success! Can't wait to go!
This comment makes you feel like your reading a real comment about a Mexican restaurant

Life begins...when you're in Casabonita
When Casa Bonita reopens in May there will be lines all the way down Colfax.

La Loca should wear a white apron that says CHEF and when she comes put, she yells out: Hello there children!
If this place would now have great food it would be awesome!

YES LA LOCA IS THE NEW CHEF 👩🍳 GOOD FOOD ON WAY NOW CASA BONITA I'M ON MY WAY
I'm glad to hear that they will be serving food now. The only way I could describe the food there, when I was there in like 2014, is culinary vomit
Hope she voices a character on South Park

My mouth legitimately started to water as I saw all this food. Damn looks like I'm getting Mexican tonight.
Gringos better appreciate the hand made tortilla it’s it’s own thing no machine can replicate
White man conquer all
I prefer my tortillas homemade from scratch factory made one’s taste disgusting and trust me I can taste the difference
True
@@andreasanchez1453 I do not trust you
Hey she doesn't have a huge bar to surpass the previous cooking at Casa Bonita, except the Sopapias, those were amazing.
Great story

I'd love to go here if I'm visiting Denver. I love all things cheesy like cliff diving, I love Mexican food, and I love South Park. Can I move in?

Those tacos at the end didnt look good at all.
I'd have so much more respect if they just kept the accent throughout... shit sounds like pandering when you only throw it on for certain words.

Not all Mexicans are dark.
Boo bring back the original food!!!!! 😭
Spoiler Alert: Casa Bonita's food is still absolutely terrible. I don't know what that food is but it's not Mexican food.
la loser
@Breanna Sacchetti nope. i already had a loser kitchen job in high school.
@Breanna Sacchetti it did for you and her.
@J won't that hurt your feelings?
