Unfortunately the coding for Alatreon's A1 is bugged, so the 55% chance is for each champion on your team individually. So there's basically a 55% to increase buff duration on one champion, applied to each champion on your team one by one. Saph went more into detail in his video about it.
Side note - I've been using Rathalos in arena since he came out, especially against UDK teams. He's just far too fun to not use.
what about built him with relentless and use his a1 more often and do actually the job done?
It is not bugged, it works as intended. Duedan (Sylver-watch epic force afinity) has a similar a1 and that's how it works too (he as been in the game for a year or so now, so I think it would have been fixed otherwise)
@@bringmebjorn4567 Yeah, nah. They learned that Shamael was a problem shortly after they introduced Hydra and their fear mechanic and "fixed" him because there was something they didn't forsee.
Same thing with Geomancer, where they fixed his passive to no longer work with Mastery proccs, this broke the game for a few days and now he got his semi-giant slayer effect written into the passive. He came in with Patch 4.2 and the fix came with 4.70.1 So a good half a year later.
Urogrim came in with Patch 4.5 and was nerfed in Patch 4.7.
It may not be bugged, but it's worded wrong and the CC mouthpieces carried misinformation to their communities. A lot of people are right to get upset, because the skill effect can be read in 2 ways - and there are currently only 3 champs doing this kind of mechanic; So you can still plausible explain that people do not know.
Plarium doesn't give a crap I'm sure, but 2 wrongs don't make a right.
@@bringmebjorn4567 just because more than one champion has the same issue doesn't mean it isn't a problem. The wording of the skill does not match what the skill is doing. That is a bug.
@@bringmebjorn4567 not according to the wording of the skill, so either sort the skill or change the wording, 40% to increase all allies, is a one time roll not a 4 or 5 time roll
As far as the zinogre thing goes, the reason a lot of people would love her is if they werent pay to win and didnt rly have any serious multi-hit attackers, in which case zinogre is an absolute blessing to your account. ESPECIALLY if you're struggling in fire knight

Regarding trying out Monster Hunter, I think you might enjoy it after a bit, but it's definitely been my experience seeing others get into it that it rarely hits home the first time you pick it up. For me, my first experience was kinda like the first time I played a Soulsborne game in regards to needing to have an "ah hah" moment before it made sense to me. When you have a mentality shift in how you perceive and play the game and suddenly everything to falls into place. A lot of people go into their first MH game thinking it's just hack-and-slash hunting and are shocked when the combat ends up being nothing like that. Combat in MH games has a lot to do with your positioning (not only location but also where your character is facing matters) and using skills for mobility. It's a lot more of a dance than a "go in and smack up some monsters". Don't get me wrong, would absolutely recommend you give World or Rise a try, just trying to say hang in there if it doesn't stick at first. If you're trying to decide between World and Rise, World is the "numbered" release while Rise is the "mobile" release. What I mean by that is World is a lot more in depth, technical, methodical, and slower paced, whereas Rise is a lot more arcade-y and fast paced in it's styles because the team has a lot more freedom to experiment in the mobile release. Which one you would connect with more is up to you but they're both fantastic games. (For awareness btw, the game that was announced recently "Wilds" will be the next numbered entry)
Edit: Not to cause more issues between you and Scyl, but I got to try out Nerg Archer in faction wars and it was hilarious how much of a difference there was in the healing, let alone the actually guaranteed aoe stuns and such. Scyl would take her turn, heal everyone like 5-10k hp, do an aoe attack with maybe 3 stuns landing. Nerg Archer would then go and everyone would be getting like 30-50k heals and she would 100% stun everyone in the wave. I honestly don't think any enemy in any of the waves got to take a turn with her on the team.
Wow. Thank you for the comment on the MH franchise. I played World and one of the DS games (I forget which one) but, playing World, the combat felt like a job to me. I guess I had the mentality that it *was* kind of a hack-n-slash. I have Rise but only played the demo. I'd love to get back into it with that new mentality. I want to like it, I should like it because it's up my alley with grinding and larger than life creatures.
I know for a fact ash you would love this game. It's a play whenever you feel like game, and all the content is fun. From the boss's to the fishing and making food or armor and weapons ect. The content keeps you coming back for more. Cheers ash love your channel!

I’ve been on a Roman kick lately. It started with the new Oversimplified videos on the 2nd Punic War. If you’ve never watched Oversimplified, I highly recommend. They’re funny cartoon videos about history. Then yesterday, I was watching a whole series of videos on Kings and Generals channel about Julius Caesar and the Roman civil war leading up to his assassination and then the aftermath of his assassination.
I have a brilliant idea the next champion pass have a Palico (the monster hunter cat creatures ) but they have a share buff which will shame any set effects they have to any champs(poss only monster hunter inspired) as long as they don’t already have that set; so if you put them in stun they will put a share on them and they will all have the stun effect or you put them in super sonic any1 with the share buff will get all those effects as well. Alternatively just an increasing bonus for any monster hunter inspired champs since every1 playing now has between 1 and 5 of them.
I absolutely love the archer, and I'm so glad I pulled her. She literally outhealed my 5 star awakened RECTOR DRATH in Hydra, without even booking her out... No words to be said xD
archer girl should have had a path event, card event or guaraneed if they are limiting her
im pretty sure she will get a guaranteed event from shards, but only towards the end after everyone was squeezed clean of any shards so Plarium can milk maximum $ from their playerbase

I’ve played monster hunter world and monster hunter rise and they’re both fantastic! Definitely recommend checking out one or both. In monster hunter, the hunters make their weapons and armor from the body parts of the monsters they hunt (bones, scales, horns, hides, etc). So what we have in raid are 5 of the most famous/notable monsters represented as their armor set and one of their weapons. Fatalis is the final boss of monster hunter world, alatreon is the second to last boss, rathalos is considered the first true hard fight and is very iconic, nergigante is the box art monster for monster hunter world and has a lot of lore and is very iconic, and Zinogre is infamous in MHW mostly because he’s the best way to farm decorations (perks essentially) for your builds, and there’s an event for Zinogre in monster hunter now (the mobile game) right now. Definitely recommend checking out the monster hunter games
zinogre is a flagship monster for the 3rd portable game (Monster Hunter Portable 3rd) as a substitute for the main game flagship Lagiacrus due to the absence of underwater battle. Then he became a fan favorite and shows up in basically every MH game from then on. Except for Nergigante, all the monsters featured in the collab was released in the 1st gen (Rathalos and Fatalis) and the 3rd gen (Zinogre and Alatreon) where both of them are the flaghip monster and the final boss respectively.

Monster Hunter: World, the game that released in 2018, is on sale on Steam right now for $10. The more recent one, Rise (2022), is on sale for $16. There's even one slated to come out in 2025! And the collab is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the games. MH:W still holds up pretty well, in my opinion, so if you're wanting a cheaper option, then there you go. Alternatively, MHR is the one available on Switch and is on sale for the same amount since it's just a whole Capcom sale across all platforms, so that might be the option you'd prefer!
With regards to the Monster Hunter game, they have a campaign, Return to World, similar to the 2024 F2P runs. Probably getting ready for the releast of MonHun: Wilds for next year. I've been playing the Monster Hunter series since it was released on the PS2 (US) in September 2004. Of all the games that was released, I've sunked about 3k+ hours on,World + Iceborne. Well worth the price for sure.
Side note: PF is me cosplaying the Rathalos Armour Circa 2008 at an anime convention.
Pulled for Gigante and Fatalis but got crap, at least I got Rathalos and I paid heavy to win the fusion pieces for zinogre, I don't do fusions ever, but I played MH since the original rage quitting monster hunter on the ps2 so I had to go for it, and good God do I know why fusions are always worth skipping for f2p, takes everything you have, and when the Wales sneak up, it can get crazy. I really wanted the archer queen as you call her, because I could of used her kit for sure, but sadly my rng is terrible. On a side note since I threw money at Plarium for Zinogre I decided to grab Xena as well, Takes me back to the Legendary Journeys or Warrior Princess days of the 90s and figured why not I already cracked for MH.
Since my only cleanser was mausoleum mage, this dude was a MASSIVE game changer for me.
Went all in, zero regrets. 100% worth 3 sleepless nights

When I started in Raid, my intention was to be f2p, but the romanticism won over me, and I HAD to buy the Rathalos Forge Pass to get him with his armor set. But now I think I wouldn't be able to get R. Nergigante Archer nor Alatreon Blademaster (and skipped Zinogre's Fusion), so even if I buy the next Forge Pass with their armor set, I will not have them to put them on. I would like (if you can) that you make a video later when Plarium releases all their armor sets, testing each in their own set. Do it for me since I have no money, no R. Nergigant Archer, no Alatreon Blademaster and no Zinogre Blademaster, and of course also for the romanticism of having them with their own set. T~T

I have five of the new Rathalos pieces on Rathalos and the results weren't disappointing. I briefly experimented with some of the merciless pieces I've gotten from cursed city. It was actually pretty good. Rathalos is the only monster hunter I've gotten but I'm pretty satisfied with my roster
I hate that the accessories are so rng based in regards to which factions you get. Idk if I will even be able to get 9 pieces for a single faction. So far none of my necklaces match my rings. I haven't opened the epic necklaces, but the rares whiffed :(
I managed to sneak in Zinogre on the last event, I’ve found her to be niche but solid. She single-handedly allows me to find success in Fire Knight, that is where she shines. Rathalos is a big hitter, unlike Zinogre. Good in Arena, good against equipment dungeons, just a monster of a champion. Both are worth the investment, though one is more niche and gimmicky.

Would you suggest the new rathalis gear for any?
Ash to be like you and digress from the topic at hand I'd like to suggest you doing a video on using Supreme Athel for Lunar Archon, mostly to see if her passive thing of decreasing atk up to 30% permantly makes a big difference, if that's kinda what they're adding into the game, Gnut decreasing def%, the void monster hunter doing both atk and def % and Supreme Athel with the atk %.
If this is kinda what they're trying to sneak in as a new mechanic to make these bosses more manageble.
Totally not a hail mary try from my side to see if my girl Athel in her Supreme form actually is better than people are judging her to be, Plarium did her dirty.
I recommend Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for the Switch.
And as for the archer... The monster that bears as weaponry and armor is Ruiner Nergigante. Unlike with traditional Nergigante, Ruiner Nergigante are actually calmer and more intelligent than the normal species. This can primarily be seen in their fighting style, as they have been noted to begin fights in a somewhat slow and predictable manner before gradually increasing attack strength and aggression as the battle goes on.
I got lucky when pulling primal shards during Summon Rush for Zinogre and pulled the Archerqueen on my fourth/last primal shard. She is not fully upgraded yet since I am F2P but is already putting in the hard yards in lots of areas. I also got Rathalos and Zinogre, but haven't managed to pull Alatreon or Fatalis.

Monster Hunter World has had a resurgence lately and is a great Monster Hunter game.
How did ash get the archer? Prism shards or progressive chance?
Man I don't know how you've never heard of it. Is my favorite game hands down
I pulled Fatalis and was bummed because all the creators were so low on him. He’s been a massive help for me. He is a boss specialist in my opinion, just like the rest of them. He is super tanky as an HP champ and he does something that I’m not sure any other champ does. His A2 decreases the boss’s attack by 10% per hit up to 30%. The A3 decreases the boss’s defense by 10% per hit up to 30%. Neither of these attacks require accuracy and they are on for the entire length of the fight. For bosses like sand devil or griffin that strips. buffs these will stick. Or for clan boss you have additional decrease attack and defense for more damage and damage mitigation. Because he’s underwhelming as an arena nuker everyone hates him
I tried going for both alatreon and archer in the summon events, but couldnt get either, at least I have rathalos.

Monster Hunter Rise (The switch game) is very fun, I think I've sunk about 800 hours into it, but if you have the chance to play Monster Hunter World it's probably my favorite game ever. 10/10
I doubt I'll get the whole team, not having a little money to help myself progress further sucks. I'm not a big spender but I don't mind spending here and there, the only Monster Hunter champ I have is the free one. I did have a few shards and I did get to buy the daily gem pack which helped but no luck on champion pulls yet. I'm just gonna keep grinding and I appreciate your positive attitude Ash, keep up the great work.
If your son is into dinosaurs at all, Monster Hunter is a really fun series to get involved with. It's a really fun game with what can be initially clunky feeling controls, but I've been recently into Monster Hunter World, and it's been an absolute blast. Rise on the switch will be a great test drive for you though.
As for Fatalis Blademaster, I think ultimately what is his downfall, at least from all the convos I've heard, is that he's HP based. Having no way to buff an HP champions damage outside of Increase Crit Damage leaves him hitting lackluster highs. I believe his Multipliers are pretty good, it just will never hit endgame viable.
I just pulled nergigante in my mercy on ancients. I went absolutely nuts. Shes gonna be great for my account
It's so wild to me that with rathalos passive that they didn't release a 6th monster hunter champ that did HP burn so you could run a whole hydra team with those 6. They all seem like they'd be good in hydra together
The collab is until March so it's totally possible we get more MH champions

I got Zinogre in the fusion and then 3 days later i pulled her from a shard. Now i have 2 of her, I didnt think she could be pulled form shards?
I’m heartbroken lol I’ve put 1000s of hours on the monster hunter games but had 0 luck trying to getting the archer. Ruiner nerg was definitely a hard one to take down and they did justice making her the best. Wish I had one that’s for sure.

i say go for it! monster hunter takes a bit of getting into but once you get into it with set building and going on a run where you I frame all the monsters moves.. its so satisfying! i think monster hunter world is the best one in my opinion but monster hunter rise is still good. give em a try!

I did not know it either but when I was googling monster hunter and champions it almost look like Plarium did not have to do much to design champs as they look almost identical to their counterparts in Monster Hunter game. I would say it is the same as with Xena couple of months ago. Nevertheless me as low spender I will definitely wont collect them all. I quit fusion halfway through when I realize without opening shards and champion training there is no way for me to get all fragments
If you want some viewing recommendations, you should def check out the fan animation "Astartes" parts 1-5
Also, if you enjoy really deep critical thinking, 'The Last Church' by Kill Team Hungary here on UA-cam is an absolute must watch.
Personally I love this collab with Capcom
So far I've managed Zinogre fusion, but skipped out on the Alatreon as it would have ruined my resources... fingers crossed there will still be another chance or two beyond just a stupid 10x/15x summons to try and at least go after Archer especially + Alatreon!

Rathalos with Venus going first. Dec def and weaken, then smack with his a3. Works pretty decent for me.
I like all monster hunter champs. The only one I wouldn't really want is Fatalis. The one I'm still missing is the archer, which was my most wanted. I got all the prism shards I could get for free, of course I got 3 epics from them.
I can understand why they didn't make Nergigante the fusion but I wish they would have at least put her in the monster path instead of Alatreon. Or, even better, instead of Alatreon and his soul, imagine if we would have had Alatreon on the left and Nergigante on the right. This way, she was just paywalled but people who could buy insane mount of prisms or very lucky few. I don't understand why add one of the best champions in the game and let her be obtained by so few people.
Definitely play Monster Hunter: World and it’s expansion Iceborne! The collab champs are from that game, most recently. Rise was the game that came out after, it’s a bit more fast paced but less realistic and chunky. World/Iceborne is my vote, it’s one of my favourite games of all time.

Monster Hunter World is one of my top 3 games all time (Rise is perfectly solid). I think you'd LOVE it, it's a grindy game where the game is the grind, and I think the gameplay loop would really click for you.
I think you forgot couple things here
First of, MHW dlc Iceborne, is almost as rich in content as base game, and additionally expands base to new environments.
Second, While Rise is solid, it is easier than World, but not necessarily just as rewarding.
And third. The grind in MH games isn’t what it is in other games. It is the main source of fun and core of gameplay

I will say this: I dont know Monster Hunter either so all I have to go on is whats in Raid.
Zinogre was an easy fusion to obtain and even more importantly you could get her without the need of competing in those damn tourneys. Last but not least The cute elf is gorgeous (and yes, I care about that stuff)
Rathalos was ofcourse the easiest to obtain given he was the freeby.
Also they clearly left the two most powerful in the hardest-to-get methods, nearly requiring eitehr luck of the draw or whaling out.
I've been able to get Zinogre, Rathalos and Nergigante and I love all three of them. They are in various stages of being brought into power.

my rathalos goes right after my madame goes and he USUALLY 1 shots the team in arena. i finally replaced my rhazin for him cause rhazins aoe also fully depleted turn meter

Hey ash! i love your videos. Could you please make a guide of how to build an hydra team in 2024? It would be really helpful. I've been playing for almost two years, and i still can't build a decent team :(
Obviously, if the archer had been the fusion or even the titan event that would've been best, but just making each character avaliable to everyone, (guaranteed champ with ancients/sacreds) I would've felt better not getting them, because at least everyone could've had an opportunity.
Its a great game truly with the switch in Monster hunter, MH Rise is more welcoming as you learn or you can try MHW Iceborne and see why that Ruiner Nergigante armor looks like that.

Is it true that these champions will be unavailable soon? even from shards?
I was hoping Rathalos would help me with a 1 key clanboss, because of all the hype, but on my level of account he brings nothing there. Not a bad hero just needs lots of stats to really shine. I pulled Nergigante now that a beast, really amazing. Also like Altreon but HH and Saph are still on livesupport after doing that event and I didn't want to go there.🤣
I only have the free champion, fusions and the likes are too hard these days. But it was sweet you gave Scyl some screentime again 😉
you should totally get in on MH games. Monster Hunter World is available on PC and is great for newcomers to the series. if you want to play on the Switch you could play Monster Hunter Rise

I like the collab too, but I don't like the fact that 3 of the champs can only be unlocked by shard events. That makes them nearly impossible to achieve unless you spend tons of cash.

The void blade master is in a really odd place. He is clearly meant to be an arena nuker with all of the ignore mitigations he has, but typical to most hp nukers he doesnt hit hard at all. Then they give him probably the best tank passive in the game. I just dont know what they were doing with his kit. He is not complete trash, but as it stands right now he is easily the least useful of the 5.
Increase multipliers and he's then the best imo

Plarium should never release a champion that is so over powered that is for a limited time, no one will be able to get the champion after a certain period of time.

I think that Bivald the Thirn for Hydra is better, because he can place debuffs on weak hits, something Archer is lacking .
