Hello just saw this video on UA-cam your one of the very few people that are running this xspower exhaust manifolds. I’m very thankful you made this video. I bought the same set up however I heat coated and exhausted wrapped them. The gaskets and seals that come with the kit I highly do not recommend them. They are notorious for being unreliable due to the improper sizing of them. You can get a better kit from jhm or ecs Tunning.
The difference on the donwnpipes/turbo hot sides are in between k04/ k03/rs6 turbos. Apb and bel have the same k03 hot side! ;) Keep up the great work man!!
Thanks! I wasn’t sure because the allroad downpipes have the egg shaped housing but the APB have the more intricate one... anywho as long as everything fits!
The crush washer for the turbos when you put the bolts in it crushes the washers inside that ring it will not fit by hand it will drop in on this own as your torque the bolts to 25 NM
@@PBGarage yeah I wouldn't use the ones in the kit. I used elring on mine as well. Fit perfectly. They don't really stay in super tight. I used a little dab of grease to hold mine in place while putting the turbos on. I've even used a dab of vasoline to hold them in place. Only take a tiny dab. And the ring sticks in it.
We actually have 3 builds going on in parallel, an STK, a BWK04 and an XSPower. The BW car is on the road now, and the XSP and STK cars aren’t done yet unfortunately. Slow going I know. We’ll get there soon.
It came with the kit. If I was just running K04s I would still just use the stock manifold. I just wanted to get the whole “big kit” and be able to review everything.
2.8 heads makes boost lag? why? larger ports and runners means more volume of air to FILL before acheiving boost........no one is out flowing their 2.7 heads and they are more than capable for 5-600 wheel horsepower. STOCK. 2.8 heads for an NA engine on a 2.7.sure it works. it doesnt make sense for air speed/velocity. thats what makes the 2.7 fast. none of you are smarter than the enginners who deisgned these cars.
You're just going to be giving up spool for potential top end, I thought it was consensus that unless you're revin it out (aka building them for 8000 or up redline) and have massive turbos (or lsrge single) theres not much gain, just throw the 2.8 cam in for less of a downside and some improved top end
Interested to see how this kit goes!
Yeah me too, I’m hoping for the best but I’m realistic about my expectations from such an inexpensive setup.

Cool build, we put together a stage 3 allroad with a 2.7t fun car.
Any links to videos of the project/car?
@@PBGarage yes on my page. Cool build you do good work

I got some OEM crush washers and they fit perfectly.
I ordered the rings from the dealer.. I was given the warning on those in advance. 🤙
Good to know!
@@PBGarage hope I didn't come off rude.. anxiously watching your build as I'm nearing the end of mine! Cheers!
Nope didn’t take that as rude at all, it’s good info. I should have some OEM rings tomorrow morning and I’m looking forward to continuing the install.
Those exhaust gaskets that are "stamped" need to go into the trash. They will blow out, use oem gaskets
Yep they’re all in the trash!
Those rings are lead. And should fit right down in the groove. Just order better set of "fire rings" lead gaskets.
Those particular ones were thin wall steel tube. I’ve ordered some Elring replacements!

I had the same problem with the aftermarket fire rings. I bought the oe fire rings and they dropped right in.
Thanks for the feedback!
@@PBGarage By the way, you should coat/wrap the manifolds because the excess heat coming off of them will affect the surrounding components.
Where did you find those headers I can’t find them anywhere
They should be available directly from XSPower. I don’t see them listed individually only in the stage 3 kit but message them directly.
Any update on this build? Im also in the process of building my 2.7 with 2.8 heads with f21 turbos.
It’s been a long journey but updates are in the pipe!
So I was going to go with the ko4s how are the turbos any flaws with them at all.
The plans changed for the build so the K04s are on the shelf for now and just waiting on some K24s to show up.
What happened with the XS turbos? One minute I'm seeing XS turbos and then another video Borg K04s

Been following your build how. do you like the turbo manifold. Did you notice a difference.
So many parts at once so it’s impossible to know.
Yo bro where did you get those
XSPower’s website.
When to drive with this Kit?
Hopefully soon!
Is that header/turbo manifold just for meth or maybe ko4 turbos? Is there anything to gain from using it with stock ko3 turbos and no meth.

@@PBGarage do you have their turboback exhaust as well. I plan on buy it. Hoping its good quality.

You’re right and the engineers that designed the RS4 with K04s used the big port 2.8 heads from the factory.
The heads are built for 8500rpm, and I’m looking to do rods and K24s down the road.
