- Alice Through the looking glass
by Lewis Carroll
Adapted by Alfie James
At the St Pancras Library, London
“What’s happened to me?”
“You’ve been shrunkened…tinified. Fallen through to the other side!”
“The other side of what?!”
Poor Alice isn’t feeling herself. She’s lost her confidence and after a trip to the doctors she finds herself in a magical world of bizarre, colourful characters including a Madhatter, Tweedles, a talking hare, Knight, Gnat and dormouse… and not forgetting the white rabbit. But can they help her to find her confidence and find her way home again?
This is a new and fun adaptation of the much-loved classic Lewis Carroll story “Alice through the looking glass” for people of all ages. Performed as part of the new Unscene Theatre Community Theatre Project which explores ways of making theatre accessible for visually impaired performers and audiences. We created a group made up of both sighted and visually impaired adults working together to develop artistic skills, confidence, exploring accessibility as well as having fun!
This was a FREE performance created for our local and wider community.
