I used to have my old phones with Alfred app for surveillance, what good about that is whenever electricity goes off these phones will remain monitoring and recording...
I got myself 2 imou cameras (Cruiser and Bullet2).
My question is: how to connect these 2 cameras with power bank for example so whenever electricity goes off the will remain on power.

Since the power source will be too far from the Imou Cruiser 4MP camera, I am trying to use the analog CCTV cable( with bnc video and 5.5mm power) as power extension cord. Unfortunately, the 75ft cable won't be able to carry the 12V/1A needed to power the Cruiser4MP. Is the quality of my analog CCTV cable the problem? or in general analog CCTV cable is not capable to carry 12V/1A? Thank you for the video and keep up the good work.
Great video, great content on this camera. I was thinking about buying this one given the many functionalities it offers. I have optic cable in place however I do not think I may need to have the camera recording 24x7 and that is why I was wondering if there clear and easy to set setting on the App that allow you to record just after movement is detected either if it is to a HDD via cable or to the Micro SD card...I am quite new to all of this however I do believe having the camera recording all the time is not so useful in my case....
BTW...how does the motion detection works...I mean...how far can the camera detect and start recording?

Hey Brannon, great video this is my first from you but for sure not the last. a couple of questions:
1. On your installation, power, is connected right away inside? or did any kind of extention, i have a pre existed installation for a future security cam but power was planned to be done by PoE, i understand that is not supported but probaby could have an "extention" with a famale/male connectors?
2. could be add to a last gen Dahua DVR wize? that has + 2 spaces for IP cams?
3. Can be seted to move from point A to B continusly? i mean like a patrol control covering up to those 355

You talking about favorite spots that you can set? How do you do that? You did a wonderful job on that camera
Hit the play symbol in the center if the video
When you do this you'll see at the bottom left the pan/tilt click on that then at the bottom right you'll see a star...there you will be able to set and add your position Favorites😉
Which is better in imou brand : Cruiser, Looc or Ranger 2 .. and what is the difference between them ??

Actually I have both the IMOU and The Riolink I like the app better on the IMOU as it connects most every time..the Riolink however almost always gives me trouble connecting 🤬
I tested the camera 3 weeks ago. The product is great, but unfortunately I was not able to connect this with Synology Surveillance Station. It looks like the ONVIF protocol was not available in the camera. I also tried the RSTP protocol - to no avail.

@@city3k5 I have DS415+ and it support h.265. I have 3 cameras working properly on h.265. BTW. I've also tested rstp using VLC - didn't work.

IMOU will be the best in wired backgaul connection and worst in wireless backhaul connection, mine are kept disconnected in almost every 2 weeks from router using wifi connections and one of them refused to reconnected, i've been contacted the manufacture but their answers were still not resolved the problem. I'M STUCKED

Easy Peasy..
Press the the play button that brings up live view..then at the bottom left press pan/tilt.
Now you should see on bottom right the star for your favorites press that and follow the steps😁👍

IMOU Cruiser generate a lot of false alarms with IR during night due to rain drops, snow flakes, flying bugs. So smart not works as in adv. ❄🌧🦟 - lot of false alarms althought min sesitivity settings. 👎
I have several of their cameras. It's like you say, it's like tattoos .... Have tried Ring etz for many years & still have them left for their exact notices. But IMOU has a much better picture & sound.

The point of the screws is so people cant just take the SD card easily.
Everything is good except you tested night vision the wrong way....camera stayed in color mode and tried its best to keep color without turning IC light on....when you set night mode to IC camera transfers to black and white and starts using IC light invisible to human eye.

Unfortunately you would need a subscription thru IMOU it's 2.50 Mon 1 camera or 8.33 Mon for 5 cameras or more..Otherwise you can certainly remove the SD card and copy any of your footage via PC/Mac

To be honest, it wouldn't be that hard to be better than REOLINK. Reolink have major issues with night vision clarity. Very few night vision clips from Reolink are clear enough to identify a person in my opinion, and also in police opinion for the times I had to use it.
IMOU is the domestic version of DAHUA, and Dahua is either number 1 or 2 in the world for CCTV camera's, with HikVision being the other. Whether it is number one or number two, depends on a more personal opinion.

@@inzynierinsztalator8374 I found Rain and IR is a very bad combination unless you can have proper AI detection, and even then it can still get a lot of false positives on most IR. My 3 Reolinks all got very bad false positives in rain at night as well. I agree that IMOU is not as good as the actual DAHUA branded cameras, being aimed at the domestic line, but at least it has clear night vision and not a blurry mess like Reolink :)
@@EsotericArctos totally agree. I like quality of image, components but they adv AI as a power of this cam. In fact I switched it of 🤬. Nobody at this sh*ty YT test, reviews is telling about that.

No cruiser hasn't got patrol.
Not a very good ip camera, the color night vision stopped working after 3 days and not much later the app also started acting strange!
I am grateful but i am interested how the ethernet connrctivity will work
I bought 2 IMOU cameras for the first and last time.
They make updates every 2 weeks.
Until the moment they installed me for the last time without allowing them the last update.
Now the sd card doesn't work anymore, it asks me to format it every time I log in and any notification pops up.
Although I wrote to them about the problem, I did not receive any reply.
The camera is still good, but it's annoying and I gave up on it, the outdoor one.
They update until the moment you can't use SD card anymore because they shove their paid online storage area down your throat.
And so you can't download any recording from the card to the phone.
Better in terms of price, quality and many options are those from Xiaomi.

No the actual camera itself does not support Zoom...but when you use your phone and there App you can pinch to zoom
I've had one ,4 mp version for 2 weeks and it's a piece of crap. My 40$ cam 2 k blows it away, returning it to Amazon asap.
