AVA are finally comfortable enough with their voice to not take themselves so seriously, and I'm so here for it.

This is why this man is my favorite musician of all time. Constantly evolving and trying different things.
I think that when you're growing up you hate AVA because your young mind doesn't undestand and it's cool to hate and make fun of weird space stuff. But as you get older and more mature you'll learn to appreciate this band and their music. I can see why Tom prefers being in AVA instead of blink cause this is the band that doesn't limit him artistically the same way blink kinda does. Blink will always be my favorite band but AVA is fucking awesome. It took me a long time to realise that Tom was a HUGE part of why I love blink. No disrespect to Mark in any way I love him as well but I saw it when Tom left that I don't vibe with their new stuff. Blink as I've known it died with Tom's departure. I hope Tom will make music for decades to come, cause I need it.
I feel like for the first time in a long time Tom actually looks and sounds like he’s having fun with music.

I didn't like this song much on the first listen. But on the second time listening I absolutely fell in love. The band being able to adapt to modern music while also keeping their signature sound is incredible. Never stop making music y'all this song is great

@@BaronVonBielski he’s listed as a songwriter for this song and couple of others. the singles he wasn’t on were rebel girl and kiss and tell. Which in a way, you can tell that only Ilan and Tom wrote those because they’re very synthy and sound very much like material from the dream walker
He came up with the main riff in spellbound. Definitely has creative input on the music part at least

yes!!! personally as a musician i know how absolutely thrilling it is to make new sounds, some that are even outside of the scope of what youre known for and people dont like change like that in their favorite bands sometimes because its unfamiliar...listening to music has become a sort of compulsion. but its a thrilling conscious experience inside the skull! I am excited to hear how they have created new sounds!
I respect your opinion, but I thought the opposite with these songs. It’s been a chore to listen all of the way through with these songs. Tom’s formula for music just hasn’t changed a bit since I-Empire. I loved their use of synths but this was pretty cheesy.
