@@meonly6471 This is nothing new.I remember Mexico 86,started badly got to the quarter finals.Euro 88,we lost every game.Italia 90,didn’t start too well,got to the Semi final.The one tournament I remember that we started well was Spain 82.Won all our group games.It’s funny because Gareth has the best record of any England manager since Sir Alf won the World Cup in 1966.He took us to the World Cup semi final in 2018,as did Sir Bobby Robson,and took us to the Euro final in 2020(2021 because of Covid).Terry Venables got us to the Semi final in 1996.The footballs been turgid from us in this tournament,but I can still see us getting to the Semi final.He’s got to let the team loose,let them play their natural game.He’s been too cautious.Look at the way the Spanish have played,Austria against the Dutch yesterday.That’s how we need to be playing,with the handbrake off.

most of the England squad are not world class, they are surrounded by world class players at club level, but like almost all England teams for the past 20+ years, they are over rated and full of individuals, we always lack any close quarters skill going forward, with the exception of a few occasions, although at the moment its like watching paint dry

On a positive note, watching England has given me an extra hour and a half kip every night - I've dozed off in all three games, yeah obviously.

Italia 90 best I seen of England, when I was 10. Gascoigne and Lineker was really good at the time. Lineker also crapped himself during a game which was classic and unexpected.

I watched the video with the real Harry Kane last night and couldn’t help thinking of Darren.
If England went and had a go and tried and had a lot of shots and lost it would suck but at least they put the effort in but the problem is England at the minute seems like it's so slow, boring and defensive. Hardly any chances.
