You're 1 of my favourites! (Canadian spelling - I'm from Ontario Canada. It might be quicker to catch boxwood trimmings with a cheap dollar store shower curtain or drop cloth which is cut into a big circle with a 2nd 6" or 8" circle cut out of the middle to create a doughnut. Then cut one radial slit from the outer edge to the smaller circle to allow it to wrap around the shrub base in one motion.

I use an old flat sheet cut for trimming hedges. I just wash it afterwards and place it up for the next trim time.

I use a painter plastic drop cloth that I cut to size. Lowes and Home Depot sell them very cheap, but I like the shower curtain suggestion!

The front landscape is one of my favorite parts of your garden’(S)😄 Watching this video reminds me of why I didn’t want to plant boxwoods. They are high maintenance, I know myself and would always want to see them in a tidy ball all the time so instead I planted Little Giant arborvitae instead. I never have to prune them and they always look great. So if anyone wants a similar look it’s a great alternative plant. I bought mine at Walmart at end of season for just $7 bucks. Thanks for sharing your video. 🌸 🌺 🌹

I researched boxwoods when planning my foundation garden and decided on green velvet. Problem was that none of the big box stores were carrying them so I chose sprinters. Big mistake. They have an upright habit and splay open after rain once they reach a certain height, which sucks.
