Was not expecting this to be linked to the Sewol tragedy. I watched the “In The Absence” documentary a couple months ago and it never speaks of ties to the billionaire, but it mentions the failure of the ferry crew and the failure of the government. It’s a very well put documentary that pulled at my heartstrings and I recommend it to anyone interested in watching more on the Sewol incident. Anywho, this video just brings more light to how heartbreaking that situation.
Ugh anything to do with dying violently and being put into an attic when it comes to Asian homelands… it makes me immediately think of the grudge. *shivers*
Makes me question everything. If the company that handle Sewol company doesnt really care bout safety and doesnt even give proper training to the crew… Then any companies that are handle by the same person/group, where they claim their products are organic or for safety thing… was it really safe? Was it really organic? We live in such a scary world.
So, because I'm french and a nerd, i searched about the village the guy owns. After he bought it a comittee for art was created there, and one of his associations (created under his artist name, not his actual name) put them on trial and got them expelled from the village. They had 8 days to vacate, the bailiff came the exact same day though, and they actually got out 8 days later. So a Korean billionaire that no one ever heard about actually got french artists expelled from their village because he owned it ? I wouldn't trust anything / anyone that came near him...

As a Christian, I believe that everyone should strive to be a better person all the time, but I don't think it's "a race to be perfect before the apocalypse." I think that if I'm at God's judgment seat, I'll want to have done my best to be the best person I can be. I don't want to be the person that stresses about being thrust down to hell for any or every mistake i make, because it's not a good way to live. The way she described the deaths of people in the attic is very similar to India’s burari case where a family committed suicide by hanging to their celling with their hands and feet tied up and there mouth and nose and ears filled with tissues or cotton
Stephanie: "He was found outside this orchard of apricots with this book next to him, an empty bottle of shark liver oil.." Me: Oh! I should take my Omega3 pill!
You also have to cover the fact that Moon Geun Hye, the president during Sewol Ferry is also a member of the Salvation Sect and how the captain who drove the boat (but escaped),and the Korean Coast Guard president are all members of the Salvation Sect and how they staged the boat “accident” but it was actually a mass sacrifice of 300 young children. We don’t have enough evidence of this, but as a Korean, this is the only logical (?) explanation of why those children had to die.

I tried learning different languages but I'm one of those people that has a learning disability and I could never learn a second language fluently, but I do have a half brother from Indonesia and I have been to Indonesian and Singapore before for work , but I have no idea about any crime stories from those places mostly because they're never translated.

I'm in Canada and if I see too many podcasts showcasing American crime stories it scares me into agoraphobia. The border feels like it's closing in. 😂 So watching these international stories is not only more interesting and culturally valuable, it's a softer psychological hit.
This case gave me chills! How could one person ruin so many lives. I pray for all those people who died and were victims of her and others horrible doings. The cult culture can really brainwash your sanity and make you live in denial.
I am sorry if I sound rude but that time people were just the dumbest creature I ever heard of, people just blindly believe on him without even checking his real identity and evidence of his so called found religion,he just connecting his so called religion to a business , making his followers invest in his business, and his followers are blindly invest their money without getting an returns from it? Like are this kind of joke?He just ruined people s life and just leading a happy life?wow

Its crazy how much this story gives me chills. Because its scary how you really never know these billionaires & who has control over what.
This case just proves that reality is much stranger than fiction. I honestly was not able to predict any of the succeeding events in this case
I believe he is still alive. How things always seem to get swipe under the rugs is terrifying and sad.
Thanks for bringing more awareness to these otherwise under reported case, Step ❤

I have my bachelors degree in studio art- and I agree with you, it’s totally mediocre and self glorifying. Seeing the small clips of this “art” was repulsive and is a testament to who he is. A low key serial killer who got away….allegedly
When I saw that Stephanie posted this video, I was shocked. I only knew briefly about the case on a local UA-cam Channel called "Ready Set Bro" (A Singaporean YT Channel). I'm so happy to learn so much more about different case from different POVs! Thank you Stephanie!!!

As a Christian, I believe that everyone should strive to be a better person all the time, but I don't think it's "a race to be perfect before the apocalypse."
I think that if I'm at God's judgment seat, I'll want to have done my best to be the best person I can be. I don't want to be the person that stresses about being thrust down to hell for any or every mistake i make, because it's not a good way to live. Every time a crazy-ass story like this comes out of South Korea, I'm just like: "Yo, you guys good over there?"
Yea man, I started watching this channel Dark Asia with Megan & I'm like WOW, you guys are wild AF
The way she described the deaths of people in the attic is very similar to India’s burari case where a family committed suicide by hanging to their celling with their hands and feet tied up and there mouth and nose and ears filled with tissues or cotton
True.. I remembered the Netflix documentary
Stephanie: "He was found outside this orchard of apricots with this book next to him, an empty bottle of shark liver oil.."
Me: Oh!
The setting and the clothes are so cozy in the last videos! Like a transition to "spooky vibes". I'm loving it!

I like how your doing cases that would usually have to be translated that are hard to find things on there's a lot we don't know about Korea or Asian countries because if there is anything on a lot of the stuff that happens in certain parts of the country... it's not really translated most of the time unless it's widely spread, so thanks for doing that. keep up the good work. I haven't heard of most of these cases I've seen so far which is rare for me because I watch True Crime topics all the time and still haven't heard of some of these yet I think one time you said you had to go find a translator that's the Philippines one of those episodes because you didn't even know maybe some of the languages so you had a translator trying to help you out which a lot of people don't do that and maybe that's why I haven't really heard of many of these, but thanks for putting it into English for us. I tried learning different languages but I'm one of those people that has a learning disability and I could never learn a second language fluently, but I do have a half brother from Indonesia and I have been to Indonesian and Singapore before for work , but I have no idea about any crime stories from those places mostly because they're never translated.
