Just revisited Ezek. 38&39 in light of Abraham Accords. Prophecy comes alive in front of our eyes. Israel truly is at peace now and not just because of armaments. I'm feeling the awestruck wonder of witnessing the Lord in the Everyday of life. Thanks for persistently declaring the truth from God's word. LL🇨🇦
Mag and Magog is no other than Babylon. Ezekiel was in Babylon as a captive when God told him to prophesy against King Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon. Ezekiel had to carefully word in coded message to convey his message to the Hebrews captives in Babylon. You have to understand when it's written in Hebrew using Hebrew symbols.

Great exposition on Ezekiel 38-39 and Israel has to be converted to Yahweh before it is exiled in Revelation 12 by the Antichrist, as they cannot go into this exile as a bunch of humanists because they will not be then looking for their Messiah at the end of the age. The fulfilment of this prophecy is huge for the evangelism of the nations.
I'm trying to understand if there are two
Is seems Gog is one of the sons of God judged in psalms 82 to whom God charged with running/managing certain pieces of the earth after they were divided up at the tower of babel. Like the "prince of the kingdom of Persia" (Not a demon, this is actually a high ranking son of God, so high that it took a Chief Prince level Son of God name Michael -who happens to be the Advocate/Manager/Prince of Israel to help fight him so Daniel could receive his words from God ) and "prince of Greece"(not a demon).. .....Gog the "prince of Rosh ("of rosh" seems to actually means "chief of"), Meshech, and Tubal" (not a demon) these likewise...are Not "demons" and not humans, it seems to me that Gog is one of those sons of God that did not rule/manage the land "portion" provided by God (Deut 32) in the way God expects them too and got judged in Psalms 82..
Gog is classified as a Chief Prince (same classification as Micheal to a degree) of the Meshech, and Tubal nations. This is why he shows up in Revelation AND Ezekiel.. A regular human cant show up in the current and latter days (end times). God judged them in Psalms 82 and said that they will die like men for how they managed the nations and Ezekiel 39: 10 apparently provides the prophecy account of Gog dieing like a man and gets buried like a man in the later days (place to be called Harmon Gog which means alley of the multitudes of Gog) after the devil/dragon is released from the pit post his 1000 years in the pit... The devil/dragon compels the nations and Gog to go against Israel and Gog gets crushed.
According to Revelation 20: 7-8 Gog + nations including Magog dont attack Israel until AFTER the 1000 years after the devil/dragon is imprisoned. So it seems to me that people should be worrying about the "Scarlet" Beast before they worry about Gog.

Question: *who* is Gog?
This is the final 'prophesy against' in the book of Ezekiel.
Son of man, set thy face against Gog H1463 ["mountain"], the land of Magog, the chief prince H5387 ["one lifted up"] of Meshech H4902 ["drawing out"] and Tubal H8422 ["thou shall be brought"], and prophesy against *him* [satan]
(Thine heart was *lifted up* because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will *I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee* it shall devour thee, and *I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth* in the sight of all them that behold thee.

For in my jealousy and in *the fire of my wrath* have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and *there shall they bury Gog* and all *his* multitude: and they shall call it The valley of *Hamongog* [multitude of Gog]

A contrasting verse concerning the battle of Armageddon.
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

Ptr. Rosenberg, you suddenly dodge the verse Ezekiel 39:23-24 where it talks about Israel - "to fell they all by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions.
Leviticus 26:25 says “And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.”
Also, Isaiah 65:11-12 - "But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. 12Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not."
Isaiah 1:4 - “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.”
Amos 5:2-4 - "The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up. 3For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel. 4For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:"

The battle of Gog and Magog that is spoken about in Ezekiel is not spoken again until the end of the Thousand Year Reign, almost word for word. The battle that will occur at the end of the Tribulation, notice that Israel is attacked by the Lord's army, the battle of Gog and Magog, Israel is attacked by Gog and his army.
Springs of life Ministries Do you know that there are two wars in the book of Revelation? One is the battle of Armageddon which will happen before the millennium, and one after the millennium. The Gog and Magog war in Ezekiel is the same one as the battle of Armageddon in Revelation.
I think it includes Israel's allies, aka countries with a Judeo Christian background. There are more Jews in other countries aren't there? And Christians are grafted into Israel. America has few walls and the Jews and Christians were at rest.
Like many prophecy writers today, he is claiming that Russia is found in the Bible because according to him, "Rosh in verse 2" of Ezekiel 38, "is a shortened version of the word Russia." No, it's not. The Hebrew word 'rosh' means head or chief. It's used 600+ times with that meaning. Even dispensationalist Charles Ryrie, the author of the Ryrie Study Bible, acknowledges that 'rosh' is not a proper name: “The prince of Rosh is better translated as ‘the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.’” The Hebrew word for Russia (Rusiyah) only shares one Hebrew letter with 'rosh," the 'r' (resh). Unless Russia is fighting this war with bows and arrows, clubs, shields, and chariots, Ezekiel 38 and 39 don't have anything to do with modern-day Russia.
Michael Purdon The bible will says bows and arrows, clubs and shields. Those are the weapons of ancient times. It just means the weapons of war fare. The missiles can be the modern day arrows. Russia is definitely in the Bible, because God says I will draw you out from the far north. There is no other country further north of Russia. Russia is in the far north. Even now Russia can easily formed a coalition. Russia told Belarus to send troops, also using Syria troops and Putin wants to use the Chechen soldiers and now he wants Georgia to send troops into Ukraine.
ezekiel 38-39 is a prophecy that occurs over 2k years worth of time. most of it already having happened.
Please explain how Ezekiel 38 has already happened when the factors in Ezekiel 37-39 are a progression, The regathering of Israel in recent times until ( and continuing after) 1948. The Nations that attack Israel have no alliance until the present day.
you are right it happened a long time ago when the Babylonians invaded Jerusalem from the north and took Jews captives and took them back to Babylon. The captivity would last seventy years.
the phrase "I am against you" has no translation and is put in there because the translator didn't know how to interpret what the prophet wrote: LOOK
And say, H559 Thus saith H559 the Lord H136 GOD; H3069 Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, H1463 the chief H7218 prince H5387 of Meshech H4902 and Tubal: H8422
It actually is translated "And say, thus said the Lord God, BEHOLD O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal
he is telling the prophet to tell GOG TO BEHOLD ...............nothing translated about "I am against you"
what then is he saying? BEHOLD GOG, the chief brings of Meshech and Tubal
in the BIBLE EVERY WORD MEANS SOMETHING and in the future, the people of God will be amazed at what the BIBLE REALLY SAYS after they have experienced their OWN WAR of Gog and Magog (mountain and those of the Mountain):
Rosh =head
Prince = Nasi, from root of Nasa (LIFTED UP)
Meshech= DRAWING OUT
Tubal=you shall be brought

basically God is going to cast us all into our SUBCONSCIOUS to get us to the VOID within us, which is the ROOT OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL so the MESSIAH (the drawing power of God) can PULL OUR SPIRIT and SOUL out through the 'EYE OF THE NEEDLE" that opens to let our soul and spirit out (opens what none can open and shuts what none can shut) and this is the rapture, the feast of tabernacles:
