As a big pinball fan and having 14 machines in my own personal bank , I visit Vegas about 3 times a year and stop by the Pinball Museum and spend a couple of hours and spend a few bucks there rather than the casinos. Much of the money goes to the Salvation Army which is cool .
one of my favorite places to visit last time I was in Vegas ! and I heard that they were moving to a brand new building at the south end of the strip? supposed to have a lot more room than the old building?
@@SirManfly Yes the shutdown/lack of projected income almost stopped the move/project from getting completed but they raised $250k on gofundme and someone came through with $80k at the last minute to save it. This would've ceased to exist altogether otherwise
As a pinball owner you just filmed what I call a Disneyland trip. Thank you so much for being so different than all the rest of the youtubers that never diversify there road trips. I thank God that you are not one of those for example "Disney attractions" forever youtubers, one can only watch so much of that and with your channel you always mix it up.
Going to Vegas in January 2022 mainly to visit Bagan's Haunted Museum but found Carpetbagger and this video while doing research for the trip. Fan now. Wife bought me a Carpetbagger t-shirt for an early birthday present. Plan on wearing when we go play pinball. Rediscovered my passion for pinball when I turned 50. Got a Lost World pinball machine when I turned 13 and played it all through my teens. My favorite pinball machines that I found locally are Led Zeppelin, ACDC, and Aerosmith... some of my favorite bands as well. Keep up the good work Carpetbagger.
Me and my aunt went here back in August. They had moved the location from Tropicana to up on the Strip. Its down from the welcome to Vegas sign now/by Harley Davidson's. Its a really cool place and I enjoyed it a lot.
The pinball machine museum. I got to see one of these from nightmare on elm street. And I heard freddy say I'll break your fingers next time! To some kid . Scared the crap outta me.
Pinball machines still excite me, although I'm 52(I guess I'm still reliving a part of my childhood). In 2017,my mom and I went to Bally's in Las Vegas and I was like a kid in a candy store!May the pinball machine never fade into obscurity.
This place is legendary. The building is so unassuming, too. They need to market themselves better. But the magic that exists inside is something anyone who ever enjoyed a video game of any kind needs to experience for themselves. Also some really cheap and good eats over on that side of town!
I have heard that the owner is an incredibly good guy. Apparently people come from all over to stay in Vegas and learn how to fix pinball machines from him. I definitely hope to visit some day!
I went there about 5 years ago while in town for business. I love this place. I mostly played pinball. Thank you for hitting all of the really old classics The guy that owns it sits in the back in the shop area.
Thank you SO MUCH for highlighting this fantastic place! After I moved to Vegas from Milwaukee in 1998, I discovered the PHOF at their original location (farther East on Tropicana). They then moved to the current location. Although COVID hit them hard with the restrictions, they'll be moving soon to their new location on S. Las Vegas Blvd...way more space, way more games! Las Vegas has so little history, always changing. I'm so happy to see PHOL preserving simpler times.
i made my first visit to the HOF in 2007, when they were at that strip mall further east. i have been there many times since, and i live in Minneapolis. oh how i would love to have the HOF access you have.

I visited here at the beginning of March. Had fun with that exact same Little Slugger Game. I just heard that they are moving to a larger location on the strip.
I love pinball machines. I guess it was because not allowed to play them as a child. I would always stand and watch others play when Dad took me into the shop with him. The gator whacking game was a classic at Chuck E Cheese, I loved that game as a kid. I'm surprised it was functioning as you have to hit it with your hands.
You didn't have to hit it with your hands, you just scored more points that way. It had a giant mallet attached that you were actually supposed to use.

From my experience, I think all the locals know of and visit this place, regularly. Good thing, too. As they never seem to do much for promotions. (As far as I can tell.) they may not "promote" the HOF, but they get tons of tourists visiting, and it's not a secret. and they're not moving to the strip later this year because they don't want the tourism.
Cool place, CB! I've always favored pinball over video games. Nearby in Alameda, there's a pinball museum where u can play all day for a fixed price - this includes many of the vintage games. They also display around the museum a varied collection of old clocks, lamps, fans, & jukeboxes, all running/playing at the same time as the pinball machines - quite the cacophony.
MOLD-O-RAMA (and Mold-O-Matic)! I LOVED those when I was a kid, and I haven't seen one since...I used to get my wax souvenirs from the zoo. That was the only place that I knew had them, but I now know that wax souvenir machines are alive and well all over the country!
