Feel like im going to see a couple in a hot tub pop up with the music at first lol I work remotely. Nice to have security when your not familiar with a town. That AC is nice. Can you rent out the spare room? Beach ⛱ property. Thanks you all ~ See you in March!

No surprise, I want the casita from the third property. That's illegal here. You can't do that stand alone, you can't do added to a property with a house on it, you can't do that. If you build it, they will tear down and bill you for tearing it down. You can't have a dwelling without a bathtub. A shower is not a bathtub. You can have a shower in your bathtub but, you will have to risk life and limb climbing in and out of the tub. The US has paid scientists to find that cooking with gas causes cancer. No surprise, scientists have found cooking with gas causes cancer. Not much gets done here but, I bet they make laws to ban cooking with gas. If you're wondering why I'm the first to smash that thumbs up every time, the air here has been in the very unhealthful range for weeks. Add that to my raging allergies and I'm in the house if I want to breathe and my eyes not to burn. Can you see why Ecuador is looking good to me?
Are you in the USA? I'm in the USA and there's no rule against free standing showers where I live. Lots of places in the USA have guest houses aka casitas. I would have to get a permit before building a guest house and another permit or business license to rent it out, but it can be done. Those structures aren't required to have a bathtub. I know of 3 bedroom/3 bathroom houses that don't have any bath tubs, just free standing showers 🤷♀️.
@@patriciaflaherty Unfortunately, there are lots of codes to be adhered to; state code, county code and local municipality. State code here says each dwelling unit has to have a bath tub. After you have one, you can have as many walk in showers as you want. The county said they were looking at allowing ADUs (additional Dwelling units) but, for now most residential parcels of land are SFD (single family dwelling). There are people in this county that buy or rent commercial property and partition off a space to live in or they pull a RV or camper into the building. Some of those get caught and evicted from their property. More things are possible in surrounding counties but, there are people that buy land and aren't able to build what they want even though they check with authorities beforehand. While I'm here, since my comment 3 weeks ago, the air has not been out of the unhealthful ranges. Sometimes very unhealthful, sometimes dangerously unhealthful.
I'm happy that people could work remotely can move from US or Canada. So happy enjoying life ❤
Yes I think this will be happening more. Thanks for watching 👍
Probably not. Lot of US companies are calling for back to the office. I work in IT helpdesk and they forcing us back to the office 5 days a week.
Awesome perspective you are giving, to those of us who plan to come some day soon.
Thanks. It's very much appreciated.
Wow. All have great things about them. I love the location of the first one, but no windows in the bedroom would be difficult.
Good point. I never thought of that. But the way the weather here is you won't be spending much time in that bedroom. Lol
Hi everyone: the 5 bd house is very noisy. Is it next to a busy freeway? Not sure if you mentioned the freeway.
We will be doing some more recent listings soon. Stay tuned.
Nice opening! Made me smile. What beautiful places. Great information!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching 👍

👍
Amazing how beautiful these properties are and inexpensive. Will you be doing a tour of your home when the projects are done?
Thanks for watching 👍. We don't think we will show our property in a tour. But we will film from different areas. Just privacy issues unfortunately.

Wow, lots of road noise at the second location… Nice to see the different options and more of the surroundings!
😂 It’s called a mother-in-law’s tongue here in the southern US as well!
Yes. They are building another home nearby and a couple big trucks went by. Lots of new construction on the coast.
Lol 😆
Can you find studios or 1 bedroom apartments for around $300 USD per month in or around Olon, Ecuador. 🇪🇨😊
Yes they start at that range and go up. You would need to commit to a 1 year lease for that price.
But if you bought a property wouldn’t that automatically make you eligible for an investors visa?
Yes as long as value was high enough.
Is a deposit required for short stays of 1-3 months?
For short term not usually but you will pay more per month especially in high season compared to a long lease.
So, the third property, is in a community that has three pools…why build a pool in the backyard? A jacuzzi, hot tub, I get it. Why a pool?
Lol yes you are right but lots of homes there have pools. Hmm. Thanks for watching.
Oh! Thanks for the video! Love y’all’s stuff!
Any one bedrooms for single senior women to stay for 6 months?
You should write Gaby. Her contact info is at the end of the RE videos. She is great 👍

Yes many places are overregulated. We found the same in Canada. This is a breath of fresh air for us.
