Thanks for the input! The nozzle body is firmly connected to the cutting head via a predetermined breaking point. This means that no major damage occurs in the event of more serious collisions and you only have to replace the favourable predetermined breaking point.
Funny that the video title is 30KW and at the operator walks to the side of the machine the resonator says Fiber 20 000 LOL Also, showing a high power machine on 2 mm steel is not smart since you can't benefit from the power you claim to have of 30 000 watts.
Hello and thank you for the comment! The main focus of the video is the new machine platform ByCut Star 4020. 2mm sheet metal is shown, as the machine has high dynamics (linear drives & optimised frame concept), which of course has the greater impact than high laser power, especially with thin sheets.
Actually the thicker you go the speed decrease is drastic. For instance we have a few 02 Trumpf lasers that cut 1/4" at 110ipm when our 15k bystronic fiber cuts at 480ipm. When going to 1in plate 02 Trumpf cutting at like 27-31ipm a mix gas fiber 40ish...then if your talking like 14ga the speed is absurd around 1600ipm compared to 300ipm on a Trumpf 02 laser. I barely ever use all power available.
Bystronic is losing market to asian and eastern europe manufacturers, because of their ultra high prices and garbage attitude. Factories are not slaves of equipment manufacturers.

If I had all the money in the world, this is the machine I would buy! Absolutely love Bystronic. Not cheap but runs on steroids.

Does the ByCut Star has lineal motors? Or wich models have it?
Yes, the ByCut Star has lineal motors.
Very nice price of this machine
Hi, the price depends on your needs. If you need more information please contact your local subsidiary.
Best regards, your Bystronic Team

Also there is no resonator on a fiber laser it's just a led diode firing into a fiber optic cable with an expansion chamber.

Your Bystronic team.
Correct, we just purchased a 20kW Chinese laser for 1/10th the price…and it works!
@@pupdoggify and fun fact - if something breaks - repair prices will be many times less.
