May very well be one of the best SciShow episodes ever! Great graphics that are relevant, Hank is amazing at presenting, and the jokes he squeezes in are so natural yet so funny and don't detract from the education. Great work to all of the staff involved! You guys are easily the most talented group of educators and creators in educational media! You're all wonderful! Keep up the amazing work!

To Hank and all the crew who write and edit these episodes: I love learning here, even this bizzare tongue science. I don't have the ability to offer anything through Patreon, but I almost never miss an opportunity to find something new to learn.

While chameleon tongues do provide a really impressive tether grab, I have to agree with TierZoo:
Lack of solid core stats, along with the fact they only use their color change for emotes, makes them unviable in a competitive meta.

Cow tongues 'grip' grass and the cow moves their head to rip the grass, and often the roots, out of the ground...since they don't have top teeth. That's one reason I only want horses in my fields. They have top and bottom teeth and pinch the grass in two before pulling, which cuts it neatly without uprooting the whole thing.

I had tongue cancer last year, almost to the day I had surgery and now have a half tongue/half wrist in my mouth. Sounds weird, is weird. They removed the left half of my tongue and replaced it with a section from my inner left wrist, then covered the hole in my wrist with a graft from my inner left forearm as well as removing my second artery from that part of my arm and attached it as a blood supply to my new piece of tongue. Pretty amazing what surgeons can do these days. I can still talk and eat and drink fine, mostly soft food. I also sound a bit different which I'm still not used to, cant whistle anymore or do any tricks like I could before. Nor can I sing not that I could very well before, lots of new things to get used to...
