      I was very lucky indeed! The surgeon was excellent. 🙏🏼 I thought after a few weeks I looked recovered but now that I look back on the photos from that time I still see quite a bit of swelling. I can say I am 90% recovered now! Only have minimal scalp itching and brow lift scars are still visible so it’ll take a few more months I think. ☺️

    Thank you for sharing your experience! You look amazing! I’m in my early 30s now and my genetic eye hoods have drooped a bit more, so I started looking into these procedures recently. Hey lovely! Thank you so much. It was truly nerve-wracking filming this and sharing this online knowing the judgement that comes with sharing your life on social media but I feel so thankful that so many people can resonate with this video. This was my exact driving motive to share this journey as a young woman getting this type of surgery as there were very very few videos of people in this age group who have posted this online. Happy to help with any questions or information your may want to know. 🤍

      Thank you so much for your understanding! I think it only gets so much bad rep because some people either hide about it completely or others go so overboard they look unrecognizable. So it’s important to know when it’s aesthetics/enhancement and not to be scared to talk about it and when it’s complete transformation. Either way hiding it just creates more problems. 🤭

      @@imbrigita It's been 24 hours, I've had an endoscopic brow lift and an upper eyelid surgery. I look pretty crazy: my eyes are bruised and my forehead is swollen. There is some pain too: they put staples in the incisions in my head and those feel really tight. Also I'm pretty weepy: just like you said, the waiting game is long and it seems like you did something you cannot reverse now. But looking at your beautiful result and thinking about why I wanted to do it for so long certainly puts me in a better mood! :)

      @@cloudy-sky134 that’s awesome! Try to do light lymphatic drainage massage on your face, the swelling will go down quicker. Even a week or so after your surgery I’d recommend to go for a full body lymphatic drainage massage, it’s really good for your body post surgery and in general! ♥️ My friend had the endoscopic brow lift so she mentioned to me those staples! But at least your scars won’t be visible that way. Have a lovely recovery, eat well and rest as much as you can! ♥️

      @@clairewntr hi Clarissa. Did you have the same brow lift as I? The incisions are in the area between my forehead and the hairline. I mean I am happy now too but I think you know what I mean. 😄 I actually have a weird skin tag/bump of 1mm on one of my scars and I am getting a little concerned as it is not going away. It’s only bothering me when I touch the incision though. Have you had that or heard of a similar experience? P.S are you considering a brow lift or had any other procedures done? Asking out of curiosity, don’t feel obliged to answer if you’re not comfortable. 🙏🏼

    • @LK2972
      @LK2972 2 роки тому +3

      Hi, I’m glad you’re doing better and it does take a while to completely see the end results. I can tell you I went through ups and downs regarding the surgery and yes I had a little bump on my eyelid (scar) and was told by the doctor to massage it and it eventually went away, it did take time and now scars are barely noticeable , so be patient. I think I would like at some point to get an eyebrow and/or a facelift, I’m 49 but I have pretty good skin so I think I can wait a few more years. I have always thought that having procedures done right when aging concern occurs is better then waiting too long and then having a pretty dramatic change. When I had my procedure done I was just starting to have some loose skin so hardly anybody noticed the difference which was exactly what I wanted.
      I was told that the bumps are scar tissue so massaging them would help. You should ask your doctor though. 🥰 you have a happy thanksgiving 🦃

    Thank you so very much for posting your journey. Your information has helped me immensely. I am at least 3 times your age, and have brow , lower face and neck lifts scheduled in just over 2 weeks. I am not getting my lids done, but my brows are being lifted on the same area as yours.
    I currently get Botox in my forehead, and now I feel like it will be a total benefit. It should reduce the natural movement, and hopefully aid in a quick recovery.
    All of your tips are treasures to me, even down to wiggling my toes. I am not getting general anesthesia, but rather Twilight. I am glad, because I am already jealous that you were able to eat food. 🤣 I will be on liquids for at least 3 days, if not longer.
    Oh, also thank you for the forwarding about the possibility of my forehead popping. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Otherwise, I would panic and think that I tore something.

    Really beautiful results, congrats, very happy for you! I recently feel like I need this type of procedure, I notice my eyeliner just sits wonky and my upper lid is really folding a bit too much. I have a line of skin even with eyes closed which I feel is definitely NOT how my eyes looked when I was younger (I'm 41 now). My lids actually look veeeery similar to yours in the beginning so it was super useful to see your vlog.
    Did they also shorten the muscle that pulls down the lid? I hear not doing this is a common reason why many people need another blepharoplasty not long after the first one. Because skin is removed but the elongated muscle keeps pulling down the lid and eventually you need another surgery. Anyway, really beautiful and natural results on you!❤

    • @imbrigita
      @imbrigita  2 роки тому

      Hey! Thanks so much for your comment. I know how frustrating the eyeliner feels with hooded eyes. I actually wanted to note, that I still get a bit of mascara smudging on top of my eyes every now and again as the eyelashes still somewhat touch the skin next to my eyebrows a bit but overall the makeup stays so much better after the surgery. Also, that’s a very good question regarding the muscle shortening but I am not able to answer that as I’d need to email the doctor and ask if that was done. Sorry! Please let me know if you have any other questions. x

      My family wouldn't agree either, so I decided I'm following through with it anyway. I had to lie in the consultation when they asked me if my parents were okay with plastic surgery, I'm 30 years old, I could see if I was a minor asking that question. That was odd for me. My parents are against plastic surgery because they believe God created everyone perfect in his image. I on the other hand and am more open-minded, and I think if it makes someone feel more confident, then kudos to them.

I will not go into details about my experience but I suffered a horrendous infection on my left side (same surgeon as Brigita) and Fi Clinica was terrible at dealing with the aftermath and actually diagnosing the infection. I would only recommend getting treatment in YOUR own country (because trust me, not fun going to A&E abroad if you're alone), and also, with an actual oculo-plastic surgeon. Only they know the complexities of the eyelid area.

    I had that white stuff on my throat after I had my tonsils removed. I think it’s something they spray on your throat to protect it? but they advised me that I had to eat solid food to remove it & to aid healing. The pain was unbelievable for about a week after. 🤕😱

      Hi Jennifer, I think in your case it’s different, as mine was from the tube inserted during anesthesia! The pain was hell for sure but we survived it. 😘

      I’ve just read they were actually scabs, that heal and fall off!🤢 you look amazing btw, the surgeon did a fantastic job as you look well rested and younger but not crazy different!😍

    I want this done so badly but I don’t know how to find a good doctor. I am really young but I have so much extra skin top and bottom it’s so uncomfortable

    You look great! I’m so happy for you! Do you know where the surgeon decided to put the incisions at the hairline instead of behind the hair?

      Hi Megan, thanks so much! There are just various brow lift methods and some surgeons practice just that one specific method. I had a lateral brow lift (as you saw the incisions are right at the front) and the endoscopic brow lift would have hidden scars in the hair/scalp but I have heard this method is not as long lasting as the one I got. Don't quote me on that please.

      Hi Cheryl! My doctor’s name is Justinas Grasys and he works in FiClinica in Kaunas, Lithuania. The price for the procedure (blepharoplasty and brow lift) was €2100. You can find the link to the clinic in the description box below the video. x
