I think this is my favorite of Allison's homes. She left all the wonderful original details, and accentuated them. Made the kitchen look like it belonged in this old house. And he got his snack bar!
The dining room walls, melt my heart made my eyes get teary, so so stunning love it so much!! ❤️ ❤❤❤
You are very good Alison..You have a beautiful way of decorating homes.Stupendous
What a stunning home! I think it's one of my favorites of Alison's homes. I thought it was funny Alison mentioned that petite women are perceived as younger. I've noticed that as well.
That's another knock outta the park for Alison
I never ever get tired of watching her make overs she just has unique one of kind taste
My favorite room was where they did the mural walls kitchen was very cool as well
Cheers to you Alison 🥂
Keep them coming 😂🎉🎉
I am in love with this home & everything Allison did. You can tell this lovely couple appreciate all the history as well as the hard work that went into the renovation. The mural is a masterpiece 🙌🏻❤
The dining room, just WOW!!!!💞
Wow! The mural dining room is incredible! Love this house. ❤
It's one of the best renovations i have ever seen ❤ absolutely nailed it!!!
Wow🕯 what a GORGEOUS home and masterpiece upgrade 🔮
The dining room is *spectacular.* So why didn't they wash that lovely brass light fixture before making the video?
You just won't find that quality material nor skill today. Beautiful canvas to start with. I'm excited to see what she does with this.
I love that she added vegetation instead of tearing it out like most TV designers.
Stunning! Absolutely gorgeous 😍
"I cried at the beginning when i saw the budget"😂😂😂
That was hilarious
I love love love love love Alison's work.❤
This is beautiful, but what about drapes or blinds? Privacy when you want it is important.
That’s one of the easiest fixes
This is so Beautiful.
Gorgeous dining room, how could you not just smile and pull up a chair.
The kitchen and the dining room especially the dining room is point on its absolutely breathtaking! living room I think it’s ugly, but I don’t have to live there.
I'm almost sure this house is in my hometown Evanston, not Oak Park. I remember waiting for her new episodes. This one made me really smile ❤️
There are some wonderful homes in the Chicago Beverly area. Wish Allison would do one from there.
You are the best Allison ❤
Beautiful.
Stunning!!!
Amazing transformation
Very nice job, like it.
loved the dinning room!
I am surprised they did not ask for more custom features like raised kitchen counters and islands and more uppers since they are so tall.
Phenomenal job
This is just absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
It's stunning! But.....where are the kitchen cabinets? Does anyone actually live here?
LOVE IT❤
Beautiful home, beautiful couple! I love it all, Allison, except for the dining room light fixture. It looks too ordinary/builders grade for such a grand home. The chain looks standard and the extra chain should have been taken off (instead of ‘looped’) for a cleaner look. The round cap that attaches to the ceiling is so small and needs to be larger to balance out the heavy fixture. A question… did the owners just want a dining table for only six people when the room can take a larger round table to seat 8-10?
Omg they are tall…. lol 😅
Why wouldn't they clean the dining light fixture before the reveal? Tacky!
Brass is not that old unlacquered brass on door hinges and trim thru out the house. Maybe in 50years it won’t look shiny GOLD. I’ve never seen Allison have such a boring oven hood. The winter dreary day painted mural reminds me of depressing weeks&weeks of winter with no sunshine.
SALUDOS DESDE MÉXICO HGTV EEUU AND U K 🇲🇽 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
She did all of this for $200,000? Wow that’s amazing
I like it but I'm questioning the $200,000 price tag. Many flippers are putting maximum $ to their work. None seem concerned with the real world $.
People should look at the bling effect in yachts and the designs of Asian and other stylists before thinking what they're paying for is worth what they could get with the money.
I think porch with railing instead of pony wall would have looked better. But nice reno.
Who are these people they're like giants?
I'm guessing the owners brought in a lot of ideas of their own that they wanted Alison to incorporate in the design.
Because I've seen much more beautiful designs from her.
I was actually disappointed in the living room.
Dublado em português 🇧🇷 ok
Love it, but what a boring range hood!! Must have run out of $$ at the end. 😮
The hood doesn't look good on that kitchen. Something should had been done to the wood trims...
Seems like she pocketed tons on money on this reno. Boring. She had the house repainted, bumped a few inches out at a doorway, new kitchen lowers, sanded floors, pot lights and a cabinet. Sounds like 100k to me. What about a back porch, French doors, kitchen wooden work-table, statement feature in the living room besides a lonely round mirror…?
Alison sooo tiny - like a fairy
Very usual, not interesting, no detail oriented fine taste, sorry.

If I were a Flipper I'd be copying the bling ideas from yachts, high price Asian properties, and other non-traditional stylists. The remodeling bigwigs here in UA-cam USA do a great job with many homes but they just aren't getting much for the money and are all stuck in a rut that lacks stepping into the next levels. If I'm paying hundreds of thousands and more than most homes cost just to refresh, I want to pimp my home.
