I believe this video was beyond amazing. Watching it made me feel extremely satisfied. I am curious - have you ever been on a flight where you had so little legroom that your knees touched the seat back in front of you?
@@thejazzguy13 Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment. That was very caring and thoughtful of you. I do not recall having my knees touch the seat in front of me. Then again, I am about 5'5", and I have never flown on an ULCC.
Howdy, awesome trip report as always mate! You did a great job even with the window so don’t worry about it! I think that United and AA are way better at RJ’s than Delta. 😸😻😸
Hey dude, this wasn't a mediocre video! You did a great job as always, depite the frozen window. I was asking why PIT were so empty but you were clear on the explanation. Now I want to see the June video! 🤣. Thanks for a great video!!!
Jazz, that area where you said "Arrivals" was empty. That's the police station area. Why would someone wanna park back there if they are a passenger? Unless if they thought they might be going to jail or something! Hehehehe! PIT does have holding cells!
Good day Mr. thejazzguy13, my name is Guerry, and I am a brand new subscriber. Thank-you for sharing your succinct, yet informative flight review from Detroit to Pittsburg. I’m someone who has been in love with virtually all things related to commercial air travel for many years, and I am happy to have chanced upon viewing your video. Actually, your flight from Seattle to Detroit was the one in the sidebar, but since this one was your latest, I opted to view it first. When I get time, I’ll go back and check out your earlier flights. However, before I get into the heart of my comment, I must say that despite your redeye flight from Seattle to Detroit, the brief selfies of you in this video showed that you were none worse for wear despite your lack of beauty sleep. When it comes to writing comments, I enjoy doing my best to write something tangible in appreciation for a well done video. I also enjoy sharing some of my experiences, and when I have time, I also enjoy videography and photography. I have to say that the video you showed of Detroit’s McNamara Terminal was amazing. I have made connections in Detroit twice, but those were about 20 years ago when Northwest Airlines ruled the airport. The transformation is surprisingly fascinating and very inviting. I especially enjoyed the twist employed with the view from the inter terminal train that focused on the interior. But what was most surprising to me was how devoid the airport was of travelers. I remember having to catch an early flight out of Atlanta a while back, and the hoards of people at 6:00 AM reminded me of a stockyard. Even my flight was virtually full. When you alluded to your “Delta Connection” flight actually operated by SkyWest, it reminded me of something I read a while back about the a regional airline who slapped a decal on the fuselage of their aircraft that indicated their alliance with a larger airline. I cannot remember the company, but its operations spanned the entire US. Depending on the area it served, the same company was the “Express”, “Connection”, or whatever for each of the major airlines. But regardless, just like you, it is always a great way to start a flight with a courteous terminal boarding agent, and it was encouraging to me how they graciously gave you an exit row. As with the vast majority of the commercial carriers, I am guessing that SkyWest survives by shaving dimes, and its aircraft do somewhat slightly exceed the minimums to remain certified for passenger service. So, I am also guessing that ensuring the passenger windows’ deicing capabilities is not a high priority. Possibly you already know this, but each passenger window is coated with a thin layer of an electrically conductive material. As low voltage passes through, it is supposed to heat the windows enough to deice them. Even though you had plenty of leg room, I guess your window’s deicing gizmo needed some maintenance. Anyway, I appreciate your apology for lack of out of the window viewing, but by no means are you at fault. When you opened up Delta’s flight magazine and displayed the route map, it reminded me of something I occasionally did in the days before Wi-Fi and IFE’s. Along with ground landmarks and the elapsed time, I enjoyed using the route map to keep track of my flight’s location. It was a fun distraction when I got tired of reading my book(s). Your brief tour through the lavatory also reminded me of a habit I adopted after the airlines started making them smaller than shoe boxes. I took measure to never need to use them prior to my flight. I did travel through Pittsburg once, but due to inclement weather and the cancellation of flights, I was the airport’s guest for the night. Unfortunately, all the hotels were packed, the airport bars were closed, and the only comfortable spot to sleep was also populated with partying college students. Well sir, again thank-you for a most enjoyable flight review. I’m looking forward to your next video, so please keep up the great work. Even though you might already be aware of this, it might help the next time you have to sit next to a window with an obscured view if you take your focus off auto and manually set it to infinity. That will keep window scratches and the like out of the depth of field.
Must be a really odd sensation of driving home at 9am,knowing that last night, you were in Seattle,3 time zones away! I know the frustration of trying to film through a glycol-coated window, flew DL TUS-ATL on an MD-90 some years ago, takeoff was at dawn, the glycol messing up the view of the desert and mountain scenery.Wondering why airlines have removed the inflight magazine in today's climate? What happened on June 2nd?
Great vid as always! I flew on a Delta Crj900 last summer and it had WiFi so I don’t know if they are equipping WiFi into them slowly or what they are doing but they do have it in some of their CRJ900s.
So you gave us some impressionist painting with the windows. No biggie! I have family in Boise so it's interesting to see someone going there. A quality video experience as always!
Great report, thanks for sharing. Delta and Skywest are my favorites in the mainline and regional categories too. It’s interesting to watch this most recent string of TRs you have put out, boy did the industry change quickly!
Nice trip report as always! I'm thinking of doing a day trip to Pittsburgh sometime next month, right now pricing under $200 from Omaha with at least 4 segments. - Red
fly to Omaha sometime please as well as Sioux Falls and Rapid City, also theres no social distancing in South Dakota and i did see an airshow in Cheyenne Wyoming despite no Frontier Days and no F-16 thunderbirds due to mechanic testing positive for coronavirus and the pandemic cancelled frontier days in Cheyenne but the airshow went on the same day as scheduled but no F-16 thunderbirds and next year in 2021 you should fly to Denver and drive up to Cheyenne for Frontier Days and on the Wednesday of Frontier Days is when the airshow happens next year July 21st, 2021 which happens to be my 21st birthday
Probably not cause its so short, but I know on longer flights where there's no service, some of them just sit around in the back & play on their phones :D
Thanks a lot! I have considered it, but I'm more of a person that likes to hear the natural sounds of the airport & flight instead of someone's voice. But I may try it at some point!
@@thejazzguy13 Totally get what you are saying. My issue with text is that sometimes I find myself focused on the video and ignoring the text, and vice versa. Do you think United is better than American while Delta is the best? How is United better than American if so?
No need to apologize for something you have no control over but why did de-icing fluid freeze up on takeoff? Thanks.
