It's funny - your channel introduced me to Magnanni and actually make me interested in owning them as I like their designs. Now that I know they sent you a C&D, I'll never buy a pair of Magnanni's ever. Keep up the awesome work Steve.
Magnani has cool design but they are overpriced. Blake stitched shoes for $500 plus isnt a good value.
Steve, you are an artist. You made those shoes look better all over than when they left the factory. Ignore the negative people.
One of your best jobs IMHO. And I never get tired of “let’s continue “. It’s one of the things that first endeared me to this channel. Hammer Time is just a nice bonus. Stay the same and be true to yourself because it’s working. Love ya man!
I really enjoy watching your attention to detail. I sent you your form indicating that I wanted to you send you a pair of imperials that Bought on EBay but after I received them them they were in excellent condition. So some day I will send them.
I’ve adopted his catch phrase myself... I catch myself saying “Let’s continue” all the time, especially at work, to my employees.
Let's continue
I would rather have stamped 'Recrafted by Bedo's Leatherworks' than 'Magnanni' any day of the week!
No i dont get tired of hearing you say anything...juuuuust love watching you work. It is sooooo relaxing to me.
Regardless of what was paid before , I would happily pay the price to have shoes put right with your skill and determination.
Did Magnanni really come on here and give this a thumbs down? Haters... Great video, thanks for sharing your craft with us!
Under your eagle eye & expert hand, you have transformed those M's (I cannot say the word) into real shoes. An Easter resurrection. A blessing to us all.
Steve: "To each his own." We are grateful that YOUR "own" is one of high personal and professional standards and outstanding craftsmanship.
Great Job, as usual. By the way, the "Hammer Time" and "Let's continue" is part of the charm of your channel and sense of humor. Keep up the fantastic job....OK, let's continue.....
"I'm recrafting it better than what they made it"
Well you're not wrong. Hell, some of their shoes are just flat out cemented in the first place.
What a joy to watch a master cobbler at work! Thanks for the video!
My girlfriend walked in on me when I was watching this video during the “hammer time”. It made such a loud noise that she was wondering what I was watching. I instinctively shut the laptop lid as fast as I could and I told her it was (blank) because it was be easier to explain than watching shoe videos on UA-cam.
Great video as always!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is funny.
Bedo's Leatherworks LLC In all seriousness though your videos have the most positive comment section outside of animal videos. It is quite refreshing! Your work makes me respect your profession and gives me appreciation for my local cobbler when he works on my Allen Edmonds collection.
HAHA.. i'm a girl and I subscribe to Steve's channel, AND I watch them any ol' time, day or night. You better tell her about the shoe videos. i think Steve would like another viewer.
Shoephilia is legal, she probably is a secret shoe fetishist anyway. Share the love! I have introduced my wife to my shoe fetish, it has enriched our time in the bedroom greatly...we now watch shoe fix and shoe shine videos...together!
I wish I had enough money to pay you to do a video everyday, ive watched your back catalogue on youtube 3 times and get excited like a little kid every time a new video comes out lol. love the channel, regards from Aberdeen Scotland
Shocked at the state of the sole as a “finished job” by a different shop when these got sent to you. You made these look SO great and will age well. Fantastic job!!!
PoshBossBlake they were so curled up they looked like clown shoes before Steve made them into a masterpiece.
After that, know I'll never buy their trash shoes. You made them REAL SHOES!!!.Awesome work Steve. Thanks for sharing.
LOL Magnanni is worried someone will see a colleague wearing a pair of your re-crafted Magnanni shoes. I can hear the phone conversation now "Hello Magnanni, I think I got a pair of defective shoes".
Excellent video. Fight the power, Steve, who cares about Magnanni’s since Bedos does better work.
Btw, you should make your own line...craftsmanship you have..a pair of bedo's shoes...in years to come would be priceless! Ltd editions! I'll be ordering!🇬🇧
What a beautiful dog and such a nice relief during this "shelter-in-place". I hope you and yours are safe and healthy. And I am looking forward to more restorations.
I have a German shepherd at home, so I can agree on the dog.
Hi Steve 🖐🏼. The shoes Are absolutely beautiful. Awesome job. BRAVO ‼️😃👏 👏👏 👏👏 👏👏 👏💯 💯‼️.
Yep, they are jealous because you da man and they are not! I'm already anticipating your next video.
You’re a magician, Steve. Beautifully done.
Magnanni blows Bedo's rules.
Magnanni is required to enforce their trademark in order to keep it, unless the infringement is "minor and inconsequential". So you can at least be proud that your work is major and consequential in their eyes!
*Major or Consequential
Gotta know your DeMorgan laws my boi
Nice recrafting of the Magnanni shoes. No surprises there!
You do beautiful work, I love the details you put into each shoe.
Recrafted by Bedos Leatherworks 😊
I always thought u was a good fella but whenever u introduced Zeus to us on this video I knew right away that u are a great great guy! U may have introduced him before on other videos thus is my first time seeing him. And like how u said yeah u can buy 5 pairs of shoes for the cost to repair these I think if that type of people are on here to run their mouths well they need to go watch videos on buying new shoes.. we that love watching u show us how to restore shoes purses etc... really appreciate and understand why u are restoring these items because they normally have a personal meaning to the customers. Thank u for everything sir! And let’s not forget ...🔨🕰!🤪
What a good looking pup, he’s very handsome. And amazing work like always.
What a bunch of ding-bats. Your bringing their product better than brand new. I would think they would appreciate their name on the shoe. The shoe's don't look like elf shoes. Pretty dang SWEET coloring....just awesome. Pray that all is going well. Hope the thumb heals up.
Billy Smith totally agree. They should recommend Steve Bedo as their official USA based repair shop 👍🏻
This! 300USD for shoes made with that much paper? :| Buy something else, imo.
Another great project. As always, the difference is in the details.
It’s your channel, you say whatever you want to say! My opinion is that it like “hammer time” and “let’s continue”. 👍
The way the manufacturer puts the piece in to give it a fiddle waist shows they know what people look for in a quality shoe, it's just a shame they hide a pile of crap under the sole instead of using quality materials.
I'll definitely steer clear of Magnalli, if I'm paying a premium I would like a premium product, having nice quality leather uppers and a fiddle waist hides the paper footbed and paper welt. At the least I'd have expected a leather welt, they're not cheap and leather welt isn't super expensive nor a large amount of material. You're a real eye opener! Of everything I've seen you or anyone else repair I think the John Lobb shoes and boots have had the best constructed footwear. The heel rand is always tight to the heel, big wooden shanks that don't seem to break, even if they may need regluing once apart. Beautiful stitching and high quality materials all the way through. That's what separates a shoe under a grand from one over a grand, but to be honest you do get significantly better value for money when they can be resoled that many more times.
You've opened my eyes to the difference between quality footwear and brands charging for quality footwear but not delivering on a high enough level. As goes for the detailing of the leatherwork on the sole, I have several pair where part of the pattern has become worn, but the places where it's not worn the pattern is still there and makes the sole look more highly crafted, as it is
Wow...that's really petty. They COULD"NT have watched any of your work before sending such a letter out. Taking their poorly constructed soles and re crafting them so the customer could enjoy them for years to come is their problem. They just want the customer to buy another pair ! Higher end companies boast that their shoes can be re-soled, that's the hallmark of fine craftsmanship !
LET'S CONTINUE....👌❤
A master painter paints the entire background even if he covers it up with the foreground. The artist knows it's there. That's like details on the bottom of a shoe. Beautiful work.
LOVE hammer time and let’s continue.... I just laughed out loud all by myself here in the bedroom when you did the flying Hammertime mobile moment
Recrafted by Bedos Leatherqorks is a great idea. HAMMER TIME!
As always great job. We have lost the quality touch, in our hurried world. Do more, be more, run, run, run,. I love the old world quality, time taking, care.
Thank you Steve
Steve says “HAMMER TIME!”. Zeus says “POTTY TIME!” Great job as always. Thank you for posting.
They should be thrilled that you were using their logo on the redrafted shoes because your work is WAY better than theirs.
mrjoeyzaza my thoughts exactly
If it hasn’t got “recreafted By Bedo’s” on the sole, I’m not buying !
Wesley Manning lololololol
Man dont change anything about your videos please, everything is perfect! And btw i would prefer to have your name on the bottom of my shoe than the brand you named 👍🏻😉 THAT means these are well made!
We all love you Steve, but it's obvious Elvis is in the building when Zeus makes an appearance! 🤣🐶❤️ When he popped up at the beginning I caught myself smiling from ear to ear. What a wonderful pair you are! 👍🏼⭐️😀
Perfect timing. Always appreciate some Bedo’s in my life. Great work - as always!
Ha! Steve, I think after the work you did, they qualify as being new shoes.
Great day another video, I don't even own anything you would work on but I love watching a true craftsman.
There's a lot of satisfaction in watching a Craftsman like this....
@36:19: In fairness to Magnanni, they probably didn't have a problem with what you were doing. The more likely issue is that under intellectual property law, if they let somebody else stamp their name on a product (even their own recrafted product), it undercuts their ability to enforce their trademark claim against future misuse by other people (e.g., counterfeiters).
It's a common claim by trademark abusers that the trademark holder has abdicated their trademark by failing to enforce it proactively. Hence, these sorts of cease-and-desist letters.
It's almost certainly nothing against you or what you were doing _per se._ Just imagine what it does to their brand, though, if the previous repair had been stamped with their name... or if some jackass started stamping _Magnanni_ on the bottom of junk shoes.
Imagine if the next repair on those shoes is done by some fly-by-night jackass who ruins the soles, but stamps the bottom with your name because that's what was on the old soles. I'm sure you'd be unhappy... and since you can't really approve or disapprove every instance, it's wiser just to disallow it across the board.
I wouldn't take it personally at all, and I wouldn't hold it against Magnanni.
Thank you for writing this. I also happen to work for an european one-brand family company and we have to do this quite often. No one likes to send C&D letters, but you have to if you don’t want to loose your business.
I'll add one more lil nugget.. they were probably MORE upset it didnt say "Made in Spain"
Well stated, particularly paragraph 4. I wonder what Steve's reaction would be after notified that another cobbler was stamping their repair work with "Bedo's Leatherworks" on refurbished shoe soles-- but in their case, instead of doing an outstanding job, "...who ruins the soles, but stamps the bottom with your name because that's what was on the old soles". I wouldn't be surprised if Steve got perturbed, and rightly so.
Doesn't use of a brand logo require authorization from the owner of the trademarked logo?
It's one thing to enforce a trademark but if all they really had a problem with was his putting their name back on their own shoe, then they could have followed up with granting him an official (and legal) license to continue to do so. In this way they enforce their trademark but then also don't look like a writhing pile of dicks with a simple cease and desist letter.
lamagra22 exactly! He is so honourable all he wants to do is be as true to the authentic product as possible. You can see it in his attention to detail and the little “ extras “ he adds outside of the quoted job, because he truly cares about quality workmanship!
We love you Steve! Your customers appreciate all the time and effort and extra details you do for us. Don’t ever let someone say that you shouldn’t wheel the soles or do a special dye job.
Magnanni should be proud of the fine work you do and thank you for treating their shoes so well. I thank you for an incredible job!
This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done. I keep coming back to watch you turn them into a GEM.
Never get tired love you and your sense of humor
I thoroughly enjoy watching your top notch leather shoe restorations.
Huge difference!!! Great job!!!
THE MASTER!! literally turned junk into beauty! Again, thanks for bringing us along Steve.
Fantastic Work, As Always ! Stay Safe ! The extra touches are an extension of your artistry ! An attention to detail that is missed by so many ! I think it says a lot about your work !
Amazing results, I am certain the customer will be satisfied. Love the touches you add to the shoes. Very unique.
It's amazing how you bring back to life the old shoes And I say hello to that cute new friend assisting your work today
Not tired of your trademark sayings. You are a true craftsman.
Love your work. Regardless its under the shoe, extra details show your pride and workmanship on your repairs. Great work brother. Attention to detail, love it.
I love the detail to your work , it is just awesome . I love your craftsmanship and how much you care about other peoples belongings. You are an awesome person . Thank you for the videos. When I need repairs I will be using you.
You are a craftsman second to none. I can see how you enjoy your work. You also brought back memories in another video about straightening nails, I had to do that in my childhood for the same reasons.............keep it up with these wonderful videos. also, I used to love to visit shoemakers as a child just for the smell of glue and leather...................priceless.
Beautiful restoration Steve! Thanks for the video!
Steve I have been watching other cobblers on UA-cam lately and you truly are the most skilled and talented cobbler I have seen. I talked to you a few months ago about going to one of the cobblers here in my city of Houston and I have been back to his shop twice. Although after seeing your attention to detail compared to other cobblers I have made the decision to send my shoes over to you from now on to get repaired. I look forward to doing business with you in the future!
You are my favorite artist. God bless You!
Whoa! Seriously beautiful work. Now this is art!!!
Its enough to make you cry... bad repairs, I've had enough of them myself. It's so good to see someone willing to rectify a bad job. Many shoe repair won't touch them , where I live, so your stuck with it... but NOW , we all know where to go to , the master himself, like no other,.....Steve at Bedos ! Keep up the great work and stay safe.
You are an artist Steve , astonishing craftsmanship ..
"Let's continue" and "Hammer Time" never get old. Keep up the voices too (when recreating comments). You be you! Fantastic work, as always!
Awesome craftmanship! Love it!
Very cool and generous that you complete the job to a suitable and quality condition, for no upcharge. Very cool. This is the definition of integrity.
Not only you are a master of your craft, but you make it a point to pass on your experience and teachings for the new guys. I can imagine how many people new to this would be appreciating your work. Nothing is more valuable than the teachings of an experienced craftsman.
You do such great work. I personally love the little touches that you put on the soles. It shows that you really care and love the work you do. Do not let the haters get to you. Your dog is gorgeous.
Just one word-Fantastic as always!!!
Hammer time!!! You did an awesome job ... as always!!👍🏼👏🏼
Well sir, I must say that I have spent the last three hours watching your videos.... with my eyes glued to the screen! I am delighted to be able to do so! Thank you for the company and the instructional videos!🌞
The sound of the turpentine can is amazing! Great work!
Steve, you are the best cobbler I have ever seen, and your video's are awesome to watch.
It is a pleasure to watch someone that knows what they are doing work their 'magic'.
I understand nobody is perfect, but i know how you feel when you have to fix somebody else's horrible work.
Some people just don't care, they just want a quick buck and kick you out the door.
Excellent authentic and traditional work, a picture from long ago
You made those into truly handsome shoes. Thanks for taking us along for this trip.
Excellent work . Indeed your work of recrafting the shoe clearly shows your sincerity to your work and demonstrates your talent . Very happy to see such excellence .
Sorry to say, but Zeus stole the show. He's one handsome GSD.
The shoes that you do look brand new. Love your dog.
Wow you are a master craftsmen ! you work is incredible and always an improvement on the original !!!!

Magnificent work, very well done !!
Great restoration! Amazing tones on the soles and uppers look almost new. Fantastico!
I love watching you and them 2 brothers from Tennessee I'll do good work.
I do enjoy this channel and he is beyond craftsman all the way to artist. And interesting to listen to.
Absolutely top quality workmanship!
Steve- Magnificent work! I really enjoy your attention to details and your craftsmanship! Also when you add your “cherries “ to the work you do is what I enjoy most- “ a craftsman creates for others and an artist creates for himself.” Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
I just love your doggy. He’s really beautiful👍
I love your attention to detail & work ethic & sense of humor! Keep up the good work and the Hammer Time & Let’s Continue! Zeus is a cutie! 🥰
