Yes I do regret selling her, but sometimes you have to move on and right now I'm enjoying the fastrac. the pure towing force of this 150hp tw20 would out pull anything modern with 200hp, it would take some stopping.
Hi! I'm from Poland. I want to buy a Ford tw 30. I have a few questions about this tractor. how does driving on dual power look like, can you drive all the time or only when under heavy load? What are the biggest disadvantages of this tractor? And most importantly, what to look for when buying (what breaks down the fastest and is expensive to repair)
You can use the duel power all the time in any situation, very good design. The only problems I had were with the duel power clutches and I had to put in new plates just after I bought it, It’s not got synchromesh on the gearbox so you have to be very precise changing gears but it was a very good tractor on the whole 👍
I have a tw 20, no hydraulics working and tractor wont move in either low or high dual. Is there a shaft coming from the bell housing that drives all the pumps?
I had the same problem on mine and it was the hydraulic charge pump. The pump isn’t that dear £500 but you have to split it below the cab at the transmission case ( not the clutch bell housing ) I did it with the cab on but it was a very hard job to get at all the bolts to split the transmission to get at the charge pump, but once it’s split the pump is right there in front of you.
@@onlygazza I pushed the lever all the way back but the PTO wouldn't stop turning. (When pushing the lever, do you have to step on the clutch as well?)
you just change the pto shaft. remove the one shaft for the other, it gears it up for the 1000 shaft as the cogs are in a different place. if you don't have the shaft you can buy them off e bay.
I assume you mean the pick up hitch lift, there used to be extending rods but they kept braking so I changed them for the chains. A link still broke on the chain every so often, but you could just jump out and screw another one on in a minute and off to go again, hope that helps
yes but i meant the 3-point lift arms, where are telescopic sideguards(or i really dont know they real names) dont they clanged in the tires when driving?
Oh I see what you mean, the linkage arms only move so far towards the pto so when an implement is on the back it stays centred, but when nothing is on the back I used Welsh welding rods, baler twine!
abida omičević you should be able to get a clutch pack for this in most dealers. I split this one when I bought it as the dual power in high wasn't working, there is a dual power clutch pack and a normal clutch pack, it's pretty simple to do. When the dual power clutch starts to go it won't drive in high dual power but will on low dual power.
yes you do have to do that when your doing a bit of speed, but at lower speeds there is a bit of a nack to it, but you can shift straight into the next gear if you get the revs and the shift exactly right. the straight cut gearbox can be awkward to get used to until you get the hang of it.
ok thank u its better to know now because ill be doing silage in one this summer for the first time thanks for giveing me that bit of information anyway :)
eugene kline sorry fella I thought it was a comment about my 1255 ih not the tw 20, nice gearbox on the tw and I had a 4wd 7710 before this and it had synchro's on all gears not straight cut like the tw.
FORD IS GOLD 💪👌❤️ SIMPLY THE BEST 💪👍❤️
Deffo wish I never sold her bud 👍
Nice one, love our tw 🚜🚜
Nick's Farm I wish I hadn’t sold it now all these years afterwards, lovely tractor 👍

Why did you sell it that's a amazing tractor
it is nice looking tractor
Sorry mate I've no idea, it's so long ago when I did it. Try a tractor breaker as these clutched were pretty common in all tws and 9700s
thank from poland
she sounds unreal goodlooking tractor do u regret selling her

Please suggest how to turn on and turn off the PTO system. What to do in TW20?
I think there is a lever on the right hand side console slightly behind you as your sitting in the seat
@@onlygazza I pushed the lever all the way back but the PTO wouldn't stop turning. (When pushing the lever, do you have to step on the clutch as well?)
No clutch needed
That is a fine machine
is that tractor 540 or 1000 on the PTO and also can you change it? we have 540 and if they are 1000 i would like to change it
you just change the pto shaft. remove the one shaft for the other, it gears it up for the 1000 shaft as the cogs are in a different place. if you don't have the shaft you can buy them off e bay.
how much did the beauty go for?
Did it burn fuel? Most of the ones where I’m at burned so much fuel that they couldn’t be used they also got hot very easy
No it was a brilliant engine sounded awesome and never gave any bother at all
@@onlygazza yea they sound and run very good but most of them I seen burned a lot of fuel compared to a John Deere or a Massey the same size
nice demonstration, nice tractor. My first question is about the lift in the back, where are the sideguards? Or have you ever need these?

Oh I see what you mean, the tractor never had them. The lincage arms only move

Well tidy clart, I likes.
my dream tractor hope i get one some day what was it like to drive her
Also me
:)
Still for sale ?
so why did you sell it ?
I needed a Fastrac at the time to haul sheep so the tw had to go to help pay for it, still miss it now but that’s how things go sometimes
sorry fella , its gone
Legende and very rare
how much
where I can buy a clutch set for this tractor

abida omičević it's the same as the 9700, hope this helps you out 😀
where I could buy or order because there is not in Croatia
who is the manufacturer of that clutch
Is the clutch heavy
didnt u have to double clutch in them ?
yes you do have to do that when your doing a bit of speed, but at lower speeds there is a bit of a nack to it, but you can shift straight into the next gear if you get the revs and the shift exactly right. the straight cut gearbox can be awkward to get used to until you get the hang of it.
