    Hi there lady. Thanks for your video. I’m trying to export data from looker but it’s only exporting 100 rows maximum. Any idea how I can export more than 100 rows ?

    Hi, I wanted to congratulate you for the video, very good and well explained, but I have a very old problem, when I export my data to excel the spoken words are all unformatted all together a mess and I have to open excel and format it by comma separation , but that's the problem, doing this is costly and the end user who uses it doesn't want to do this as they already open it in local xls format in their excel and use it already formatted!, any tips? remembering that I can't export to excel online, it needs to be the file right there to be opened in the excel software!, I've tried everything but nothing works.

      Hey Diego, thanks for watching! How about exporting it to Google Sheets then download as xlsx file?

      @@danalyser First I want to thank you immensely for having answered me, this is already great! so, let me explain my case better, I use google's data studio and I have a website where my clients use this data studio for reports, etc. however, they don't want to have to export from a place to be able to convert, etc.. they already want to export the file directly to .xls or be formatted correctly for excel!, except that when it is exported other than in Google Sheets, all the data is as if they were csv and not neatly formatted for xls. How do I go about achieving this feat? it is possible? I needed this so much, something direct even through the tool itself that does not need to go to a place to convert later and have this problem with my clients, because we are dealing with a user and he will not want to export to a place to later save etc.. is there anything any idea how to do it directly? thank you very much! thank you very much for answering.

      @@diegomartins7278 from what I know, there’s no other direct way of doing this. Probably worth to investigate why the data messed up when exported to csv, is it because there are some values in the cell containing comma? If yes, then maybe convert them to other characters to avoid such issue :) hope this helps!

      @@danalyser Thanks again for your feedback, I'm very happy about that, maybe I don't know how to explain when I say comma I mean that when we have a csv file, and I want to transform it into excel I use that comma-separated formatting that excel itself gives you when you want to format a table, in this case all the columns are all separated correctly, in the csv or xls format of data studio my data comes all together without separation how can I send you an image for you to understand better? Or is it clearer now? I would need to click on export to xls for everything to be right!, if I export to the online google spreadsheet I get the desired effect but if I convert it to an xls file and open it in my excel, everything is messed up, along with needing to format this file .
      And the end customer doesn't want to have to do this work, so he would like it to be exported directly in the correct way, separating the columns correctly. Would I need to change my code for this? or is there any way for data studio to do this? Can I send you an example of how it looks and how I would like it to look? Thanks again and sorry to disturb.

    I. I have a graph where I show the time we started the workday, but it appears in the format "HH:MM:SS" and I would like to show only "HH:MM" (hide the seconds). It's possible? How do I do? The data comes from a table in google spreadsheets. In this case I converted the field in seconds.

      @danalyser  2 роки тому

      Hey there! I think it could be done, but I wasn't too sure the data type of your field.
      But assuming it's a datetime field, you may look into this formula FORMAT_DATETIME() to format the date:

      Hope it helps :)

      Hey Otabek, yea you can but it will be through a table (usually) or any chart visuals in Data Studio report like what we shown in this video tutorial.
      Hope it helps :)
