In the beginning was Goa, which was not so boring like what they call Psytrance nowadays. Bassline radda-da radda-da radda-da even not 1x transposed has nothing to do with the sound of the early 90's. There was for example Tsuyoshi the 303 live wizZard and other LSD icons 😂😮 however peace, love to all ❤
@@klinikat5313 if you guys wanna listen novel psytrance, i recommend digging on to the more underground genres and labels, like Parvati Records or Zenon Records, its more story telling music, none of that boring prog shit

Finally! I’ve been waiting for you to showcase a plugin that was made for the specific purpose of synthesizing kick drums 🙏 P.S - Apologies if I missed any previous uploads! I have a very busy schedule.(I make plugins that specialize in kick drums)
All the kick synths I ever tried just killed my workflow, its not for me. I make Techno and all I need is a 909 with some distortion + EQ. Or Abletons DS Kick, it sounds so good really. This way I can quickly move on to more important stuff in the production process
Honestly, the Kick 2 interface seems to be much more streamlined to me. Bigger Knobs (+Frequency display) for each point, click selection on front page, distortion on front page, eq on front page, this all was much easier to access before. Now everything is tabbed and needs more clicks to achieve the same thing :/.
What about kicks ive made or edited from presets in Kick 2? If I upgrade, will I lose my kicks from past tunes I’ve made (especially as you mention the the click and sine are layered now rather than sequential)???
I own Kick 2 and tried Kick 3 beta and has great improvements, but the IA or analyzing features works better in Kick Ninja at the moment, obviously it's in beta, but hopefully it improves over time, otherwise I'm tempted to purchase Kick ninja.
@@PolarityMusic Thanks to you, I discovered kick ninja and I love it, I own a lot of kick plugins and is always nice to see that these companies are improving, specially with the machine learning.
KN is awesome, I had early access to it and was very impressed with the AI conversion, but seeing what Sonic Academy were able to achieve with more development time, I think K3 has the edge personally. KN does a good job of recreating clean kicks, but K3 can achieve similar results with fewer nodes and it has better tools/workflow for managing excess nodes. Importing the same reference sample creates dozens of nodes each in both pitch and amp graphs in KN vs just a handful in K3. KN has a simplifier feature same as K3 but using it to scale back nodes to a density that can be easily and meaningfully tweaked, completely completely messes up the the conversion. SA really nailed their algorithm here and I hope The Him is able to refine his to perform in a similar way. Dragging nodes in the K3 editors will override its neighbours, which is another nice workflow feature that makes customisation easier in K3 vs KN. . If you actually intend to tweak or even improve upon, your reference kick, K3 is a lot better imo.
Kick ninja is better, also it’s parallel in kick ninja as well, it’s not cross faded unless you want it to be, which actually provides superior control
@@BappinProductions i tried the AI in both and found Kick ninja gets closer to the source, maybe K3's AI gets refined in the future and i hope so because i own it 🙂
I can answer that No . Psylab first vesion was rendering backward like audija and had such phase locked at the end, but i found it was very limitating at the end (for ex psylab can use curves and lfos to any animate any effect, dist, osc morph ect over time, with any length, ie one bar, and that wouldn't work in reverse wich has to pre-render) so i went back to 'forward' phase. to me the pro/cons make i prefer have more possibilities, and readjust the phase wich take 1 second only when im at the adjust to bass phase rather than loose all the sound design possibilities it implied.
This won't create sounds that you can't create with stock plugins but it does increase workflow efficiency. Just when I've convinced myself not to buy another plugin.
The psytrance line was Savage xD Same as drum & Bass xD Well all of them sound like carbon copies of each other as no o e does anything original much any more xD
Year 2086 and I am still having trouble understanding Kick 2, and making one kick and bass for 174 years for one song... I am joking... I left the platform to other people :D :D.
"I think Psytrance producers need that to make the same loop they've made for the last 20 years" 😂😂😂
At least we dont use the same drum loop sample on all our songs, can I get an Amen? 😂

so many kick plugins, both kick3 and kick ninja are insane
Audija kickdrum is my favorite
Agreed, Audija is amazing!
My take on this is that if you wanna go heavy on the resample kicks workflow, go with kick3.. if you want to make crazy shit, go with kickninja
Has anyone tried Hammer kick from we tweak?
Kick Ninja now has has phase locking! 😎They released this feature like a week after this video came out

The kick is THE most important thing in any production. It's the foundation on any song, especially in Techno

Nope, they will import when you open kick 3.
Hope you feel better soon!!
Could you make a review of Geonkick?
Do you ever create your own weird top layers for kicks? That could be an interesting video idea.
Get better soon!
Get well soon and the same for Kick 3 ;-)
wish you health! very nice review!

Can you check if psylab by fx23 does the independent phase lock segment thing? It's rather complicated!
Yes!!!!! Polarity, please complete the kick synth plugin arc :D

Why don't we just create a Kick+ in Bitwig with all good features of vsts mentioned?
In Kick2 imported kickdrum-files does not sound exactly like they actually sound... Is it better in Kick3?
