Think about this. The Ark of the Covenant had to Angels facing each other on the lid. And when they went to the tomb both at the head in the feet where he had Lain were two Angels. A beautiful picture of how the Ark of the Covenant represents Jesus Christ

This could not have happened the body had already been prepared by Joseph of arimethia. It was against Jewish purity laws to reopen a grave until the body had decayed and the bones put into an osuary.
I've never understood why Mary, mother of Jesus, wasn't there to anoint the body.
She had just lost her eldest son in a horrible, torturous, completely unfair death just a couple of days before. Yes, she knew God's promises, and she had been aware he would die young and brutally and that he would rise again, but she was still his fallible human mother. Grief tends to cloud the eyes and the mind, and even with those promises that he would live again, it would be hard to believe given the week they'd just had. Would any mom want to see her baby, her perfect son whom the angels sang for, lying dead and looking like he'd been in a car accident? Anointing him just might have been too much at that point. She might not have been ready to go to the tomb. She also might have been in a period of mourning and was not supposed to go out and be seen just yet.
It was Mary Magdelene who was there to annoint the naked body of Jesus. The Jewish law mentioned it was only a wife or a male family member who could do this. Surely not a ''prostitute'' has it was believed in the 4th centrury A.D. Today, the church of Rome has changed the story of the ''prostitute''..... to a woman of '' the family''
maybe one angel, maybe two angels, maybe an earthquake ! Concerning Peter at the tomb, please read Peter's gospel, then you will understand that is a fiction !
What a laughable event, the gospels even contradict themselves. It really shows that christianity is a fable, totally ridiculous.
