Too many positions to fill, you gotta pick which ones you want to, some positions won’t be filled and that’s why it’ll probably be a down year unfortunately. Incompetent and cheap front office

NFL Draft - best 3 days in sports, better than the first weekend of March Madness.
DT, especially the 1-Tech, is the most concerning position on the team and with limited prospects in the draft.
If we move Tyler Smith to LT, I just want to move back, grab a center, plus more draft capital and roll with Bass at LG.

Uhh...guys...this season ended with the Green Bay game. The Jones's are determined to have an average-at-best football team for 2024-25. It is what it is, unless they pull off the best trade in history, since the Herschel Walker trade Jimmy engineered. We don't have the draft capital to restock, without at least 2 trades for at least 3 day-2 picks.
I’ve watched the cowboys since I was 6 years old and I’m 40 now. I knew that last season was the “all in” and it didn’t work out. Dak will never be Mahomes but he’s gonna get paid like it
I mean it's still a loaded team. They'll have all the opportunity to have a good season if Dak plays well. We'll see
I'm usually with you on Captain Trade-down, but if the option is trade up for one of the top 3/4 LT's or draft Guyton in the first and an injured running back in the second, then I'm happily packaging those picks to get my starting LT for the next decade and keeping my all pro LG right where he belongs
But what about center?

@@justinboone3060 How exactly is a guy that tore his ACL in November not injured? If they played a game today he'd be watching in street clothes with you and me. Not sure if you saw Gallup or Steele last year, but even if he plays next year I wouldn't come close to assuming full health.
Wasting a premium pick on a guy coming off major knee surgery that plays the least premium position, especially with as many needs as we have, is just dumb roster management. Given its the Jones boys, I fully expect it to play out exactly like that
Just when I started to get over the lack of moves in the offseason, I'm getting angry again w/ that due to all the needs we have to draft for.

I still think Jerry said they were going all in cause he saw the teams that played in the superbowl wearing all in t-shirts and thought it would be a great slogan for this yrs campaign lol. Do you think they haven't resigned dak so they can make it to the superbowl. Cause if you look at past superbowls the qbs that played were on final contract yrs. Just a thought.

I would rather draft a good center to build that middle wall. Dak can step up and shift sideways really well but back and around is alot harder.
Need at least 3 starters, JPJ, Payton Wilson, Devondre Sweat, either Wright or Estime

We need OL but if they pass on a high end defender like Newton or Dejean for a project like Guyton, I would be furious

When you have a poor run scheme and even worse blocking no one is having success back there. We HAVE to grow in our approach to the run game. Not that we don't need a RB because we do..but more important than the back himself is who's blocking for him
Strangely enough Bass and Hoffman had great stats when they started .. They will be fine ..
A stud linebacker would have a bigger impact on this team than a lineman .. Go watch the last three super bowls the cowboys won and
you'll see the defense won those games hands down .
Other than TE they are the objectively least valuable positions. Using ur most valuable picks back to back on them is a formula on how to fuck yourself over
Offensive line if you have good lineman then someone can run ball but Dallas definitely gonna take Johnathon brooks or Peyton Wilson with injuries guarantee that

Draft defense...defense, defense, defense...and try to be the Dallas Ravens.
Disagree with "Moving Tyler Smith means Dallas is worse at Guard, and worse at Tackle" No... the Cowboys won't make the move unless Tyler Smith makes them BETTER at Tackle.
Treat the draft like the stock market. When players have overinflsted values, take your profits! Trade in for multiple value picks.
