had mine for over 1.5 years and watched this before ordering new ones. I pulled off the small metal piece and it was 100% blocked with wax......cleaned as shown in this video and now its as loud as new. Thank you!
Worked like a charm. A little tip though, I emersed the metal part in hot water before rubbing the alcohol or attemting to wipe the wax as no to push it futher in the fine pores. The hot water just melted the wax out effortlessly. Thanks bro, keep it up.
@@TheEnthrallerAlright I just did these today with my Pro 2's the metal part or like where all the sound comes out put that part in warm/hot water for like a minute. Then I got a tooth brush and brushed the sound part and old ear wax flaked out. I put my earbuds back in and it worked :) If you have any questions I gotchu
My brother you saved my life, my buds got wet on the right side, I couldn't hear anything, I did the thing in the video, I removed the plate or metal grill from the speaker and it was very dirty when it got wet, it got in the way with the wax haha. I cleaned it up and it sounds great. thank you very much bro
Had mine for about 1 year before I had this problem. One time the alcohol cleaning method alone worked but only lasted a few weeks . But sure enough removing the mesh and cleaning it was best. I had some wax buildup in there. Which wasn't even all that much but as soon as I followed the steps to remove it and cleaned it, my buds are back to normal volume. Getting it off first time was tricky though but if u are using a razor blade use the corner of one edge to pry it off and try to go down and outward so u don't accidently take the adhesive off.
Thanks so much! I opened mine and the black filter was stuck to the metal grill. I just soaked both of them in alcohol, put em back, and that solved it!
Was almost going for the removal when i remembered that i have a cleaning camera lens kit that has a special brush that it fits just right this tiny holes. It cleant like a charm and the sound came back even louder than before!!!! Amazing tool!!!
Thank you. Just saved myself a lot of money following this easy tip. It also sorted the static noise. I removed the black layer too as it was dirty under that. Amazing.
Amazing. My buds have different volumes between left & right, that problem comes after heavy rain accident. I plan to throw it away. But when I removed the metal grill, the volume balanced again. It's awesome, tks a lot of.
Removing of metal cap is extremely hard. I used heat gun a little (from side, not into it) and was still hard. Use wood picks and isopropyl to remove second filter, but dont touch layer of glue. Yes, cleaning gunk behind metal plate worked wonders, so +1 like. Thanks.
Omg it actually worked, thank you so much I literally started having sound problems with my right one and plus I didn't know how to clean it, again thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼
It worked for me, as well. Thank you very much! We just used a stationary knife to pull of the metal piece and we just reattached it by pushing with our finger, that's all! :)
I struggled to remove it but my hearing aid was left with marks, and the grill did not fit well but with the protection it stays in place. The cleaning worked.
The only video that did the job saved me 260 australian dollars more than the value of new ones. Good on you still I can't imagine that would be pocketing 260 bucks only for a five minute job cleaning them
thank you very much, I had lent the headphones to a friend of mine, and when he returned them to me I could not hear anything from the left earphone after cleaning according to the video it feels like new again. thank you very much!!!
Dude, thank you so much. I was just about to buy a new one, and got my buds fixed 🙏🏽. Also take note that i took to the samsung authorized service center and i was told that the buds and the case were all rusty, and that i would have to replace the whole thing, and it would have cost me, the triple of the price that i paid for it in 2020. Scammers
It doesn't work for me... I dropped my buds 2 pro in the sink and now the sound is weird and also when I tried to put the ANC on it just start beeping. What should I do ?
I used a regular small kitchen knife to get it out - to begin with, it felt like i was making no progress, but after doing the same lifting motion in the same area for a bit, maybe 20-30 times, it came off no problem
Bruh this actually worked 🥳 my right earbud went almost silent overnight and no matter how much I tried to reset or fix it it wasn't working. Found this video about cleaning it and so I tried it. I did the alcohol on q tips and then used an old toothbrush and swiped a couple times with the metal facing down cause gravity and then I tried it AND IT WORKED. THERE WAS SOUND. OMG. if I could give this man a medal I would 😂
dude wtf. I was sad because I wanted to sell my headphones because the right side was very low (it was good but low) and I did the thing in this video and I cleaned both sides and now they sound perfect. thank you so much
Are you kidding?? Never did I think it would work, it really worked! Still, it's not like it was very dirty, but as soon as I removed the little metal piece, the volume came back up :O
First pair had this after about 1 / 1,5 years and the second pair also after about 1 / 2 years. Cleaned bot of them like this and they are as good as new. Ridiculous that it's impossible to find anything about fixing this except on youtube 😅
Would one bud not detecting when it's in my ear and not responding to touch commands the same issue as low volume? I want to know before I go prying the metal piece off

Same situation here! Thanks a lot
I confirm. It worked the same for me. I'm happy! ha ha.
could you reattach the metal grill post cleaning? or did you have to resort to glue/removing it altogether?
how can i pull of small metal piece?
@@octavianmatu3859hey did u try it???? I wanna do it to mine too but am afraid am gonna break them
Samsung told me to pay 80.- to repair it (still on warranty). Totaly worked! Sounds like new again! Thank you

Can you explain it a bit more?
This could really help me

worked perfectly. After a year i had this issue, my right buds muffled/ lower sound than the left. Now sounds perfect. Thanks!
I do the same, but I had to remove the piece of fabric, I hope there is no problem
YOU MADE MY DAY, this deserves way more likes and more ppl need to see this before buying new ones
WORKED !!!! I was taking the low volume as a excuse and was about to buy the Pro pair for $200 , but no, ill save it for another time

This 100% worked.
I've watched 3 low/muffled sound earbuds so I'll thank you all individually
Thank you 👍🏾
Me too!! tkss so muchhh

This worked perfectly And my Earbuds sound as new now.. Bought £1.25 Small set of blades to open the small metal peace ..Thank you 😊 🙏
I've been wanting to open it so bad but I was already I'm gonna break it. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Last step is probably the solution for everyone! Helped me, I literally tried everything
Totally worked, thanks a ton. Was ready to buy a new pair 😂
Worked flawlessly.. Just opening of the grill needed a proper technique.. technique mentioned in the comments
Eu tinha esse telefone há mais de um ano, e só tinha um lado funcionando, e o outro estava muito baixo, quando limpei voltou tudo, obrigado
Can confirm this will solve the problem of your bubs randomly losing most volume.
Also using a new razor blade works really well. Just be careful.
Amazing.
My buds have different volumes between left & right, that problem comes after heavy rain accident.
I plan to throw it away. But when I removed the metal grill, the volume balanced again. It's awesome, tks a lot of.
I was lucky because I accidentally dropped mine in the toilet but the sound stayed the same, had to clean the poop out tho

Yaklaşık iki yıldır kullanıyordum ve sesi az gelmeye başlayınca üzülmüştüm. Bu video çok işime yaradı. Yeni gibi oldu 🥰
Sweet! Thanks man I've already given up on my left one so I thought eh might as well..if it brakes it brakes lol..but yeah it worked.

Many many thanks!! I cleaned it with liquid alcohol and a small brush and they are working perfect again. Thanks man!
Enfim tive coragem de brir e limpar o meu buds2. Não parecia tão sujo, mas limpei com álcool e voltou a funcionar bem novamente. Obrigado pela dica!
Great job!!Now, my buds play clear
Thanks a lot mate, i opened up the mesh and cleaned it. It was like having a new set of buds 🙂

Good video, simple and effective and resolved the issue
Thanks.... just worked for me with removing my speaker guard. Thought all was lost 😅
How are you able to take off the mesh grill so easily 😢 mine won't come off I've been trying for 10 minutes

The first solution worked very well to me! Thank you so much!
91% isopropyl alcohol worked. When I took out the metal grill, there was just a hole - I think I took the black part with it.
Very helpful just cleaned my earbuds and its working like new again 👍
Worked flawlessly!
This solution really works, you're a genius, thanks a lot. Worked for my galaxy buds 2
did it for both, left one was nearly quiet. After, both were fine. Was considering buying new buds, but now, I can use them for a while longer

Quick question, would taking out the metal grill cause any damage?
No...just use the eartips to cover it.
@@TechLifestyle ive tried to take out the metal grill on my buds 2, it wont work but rather deforms the plastic around it
