Anne was so wrongly accused and treated. Her thinking was ahead of her time and Henry wanted someone who would sit look pretty be quiet and bear him son's. The fact it was their daughter that went on to be one of the greatest rulers shows how much Henry misjudged her
Anne Boleyn was not a nice person either. That being said, she still didn't deserve to die the way she did. King Henry had a penchant for murdering anyone who failed or displeased him in any way. And Anne Boleyn was not his only victim.

@@ITEEZ- Sure, she was. That's probably why Anne took an active role in usurping Catherine of Aragon so she could take her place as queen and made a lot of enemies at King Henry's court while she was at it.
@@Elly3981she made enemies because she simply gave back the same energy they gave her. Catherine didn't treat anne good, that must have gave anne even more motivation to sit on that throne, even though catherine would be kicked off anyway.

I believe that Anne's mistake was thinking that she could control and manipulate King Henry. Very likely, she underestimated how dangerous and unstable he was.
Henry here is so handsome than the reality 😅
The real King Henry was actually pretty handsome in his youth and would have still been an attractive middle-aged man if he hadn't put on all that weight.

He was actually handsome when he met Anne. He only became unattractive when he got older.

The historian in pink felt Anne's pain and was in tears at the end.
I love this series because they had it in like a modern kind of fleabag way with her talking to the camera which made it fun but then had the historians relaying the facts and the story as well. It’s like Six but with a more of the Tudor styling.
Also love that the actor who plays Henry is an actual redhead! Because he’s always portrayed with brown hair! And that kinda pisses me off when they do that.
Also the actress portrayed Anne really well! Anne Boleyn was just ahead of her time and too modern for Tudor men at that time. I bet they were scared of her because she voiced her opinions.
Even though I know she gets beheaded as it’s in History I was still begging Henry to stop the execution.
I love this edit as well because she was a powerful Queen just as her daughter was.

Hmmm this intrigues me to actually watch the series. I also wanted to watch Tudors but because I heard there are..... inappropriate scenes....I didn't.

It shows how his love changed her. she was a smart free spirited self assured woman, who became meanspirited and insecure and unbearable to live with.
The real Anne Boleyn was already mean-spirited even before she met and married Henry. People at both the French and English courts said she was a nasty piece of work.

@@Elly3981 There's no actual proof she was rude and condescending. She's known for doing more charity work than any of Henry's other wives. She stopped her ladies in waiting intricate embroidery they would do as a past time and encouraged them to make clothes for the poor which would be donated. After Henry said she was guilty of adultery she was imprisoned in the tower with many of CoA friends as ladies in waiting. These women who had served Catherine for years would not have stood up for Anne,risking their lives to demand she be given a respectful burial if she was condescending towards them

You’re not the only one! 3 days after and I am still feeling heartbroken with the ending! The show made me fall in love with their love story and then ripped my heart off at the end! 😭
I wasn't crying but I was scared for her and sad. And kind of in a whirlwind, like how it went wrong so fast.
I still don't understand how Henry was content with her dying. I understand the logic of her being beheaded. But I don't understand how in his heart he was okay with it. Either he really didn't care or he really hated her. Or he made himself believe the accusations because it fit with his agenda of her going away.
@@ninalily I think he hated her for having so much power over him, and he felt betrayed because she became no son, only a daughter.....

When I started watching this show, I thought, Oh my goodness what is this? But by the third episode, I was obsessed. For a romance that's been told so many times, I surprisingly enjoyed this urbanized update. Also this casting of Henry and Anne ended up being among my favorites.

Anne did not deserve to be basically murdered. However, I was not surprised that she didn't get her happy ending with Henry either. How you get him is how you will lose him. So I always find it funny when she feels heartbroken about him cheating on her, when she was once encouraging him to do the same disrespectful thing (but with her) to his first wife. But with all the vile things Henry did, especially to get a male heir, I guess it was Anne who had the last laugh from the dead. She got her revenge through her daughter.
