    Why are all these kids in the comments looking for every reason to pick these videos apart? These cars are dope, the guy is kinda dry, but clearly loves what he does. Jay is always the same so I don't know why it surprises people. This was a cool video and I'm glad these cars are out there getting driven.

    i like how jay never edits out the real world stuff, like the clutch mistake around 19:50 and in another vid they show one of the gopros falling off the car and getting run over. most channels would edit that stuff out and have special location shots and carefully chosen wardrobe, etc. this is just cars, no bullshit, in jay's garage. great channel.

      Jay is such a gear head. It’s not a clutch grind at 19:50 it’s flatulence ... And he even apologized for it.

    The best part of this video is at 19:54 when Jay grinds the gears, and apologizes, they didn't edit it out. Also, the sound of that blue car when he gets on the freeway is beautiful.

    The gear grind at 20mins is hilarious...the look on the guy's face was like "Common, Jay, I'm borrowing this car, you knucklehead!" Jay is like, "I'll show you how to get to 200-degrees on this gearbox in one millisecond." LOL.

    Nice video. I had a '74 Carrera, and of course regret ever selling it. We saw Jay perform recently at an outdoor summer concert at the Biltmore here in Asheville. He started right on time and did 90 minutes of non-stop funny. I laughed the whole time. We are so lucky to have Jay and his love of cars. Bravo, Jay!

  • @brettneuberger6466
    @brettneuberger6466 3 роки тому +7

    I actually love the 74 bumper. As I was growing up, my dad owned one of only 195 or so of the 2.7 Duck tail, Carrera Targa’s in the US that year. It was his daily driver for years and I have tons of fond memories in that car. From him driving me around my paper rout on cold, snowy Sunday mornings, to him “burning exhaust build up” while speeding to Grandma’s house on the open road....the top packed neatly away in the frunk so my little sister and I could fully experience wind in our faces at 130 mph. (No worries though, we were safely lap-buckled into our jump seats.) Good times!
    Unfortunately, the car met a said demise as thieves stole it from a parking lot in Phoenix in 1990. It was eventually found dismantled and parted out. Dummies!!

    Rarely am I motivated to write about anything, but just a quick note to say thank you for all the programs you post. A talented host, presenter and comedian without question, but first and for most a real no nonsence car guy.
    The Resto Mod's are a particular favourite, not something that happens in the UK much, absolute sticklers for originality.
    I have a small collection, race cars mainly including Graham Hill's 1973 Embassy Shadow DN1 Grand Prix Car currently having a ground up rebuild after a little off I had a Zandvoort.
    Once again many thanks and if you're ever in the UK you're more than welcome to visit.

    But I am so sorry for the horrible comments that people leave. More than 80% have nothing to do with the cars.

      The only way to keep something without wear or damage is to never use it, which is stupid.

    Thank you for sharing. I upgraded my Porsche's shifter cable to a Numeric Racing Shifter Cable with thicker cable and Aluminium Rod Ends, eliminating the sloppy rubber and fragile plastic rod ends, gives a solid thump feel and snicker snack sounding shift. I can't recommend them enough, at least for the 986 S Getrag 6 box.
