Oh yes, I definitely smell my bags and love love love the smell of the leather and also how different brands have their own leather smell. Like there is 100% a YSL leather smell that is different from all others! 😂 Thank you for this fun review!!

Great review! I’m still in love with this bag. Waiting to see it in store - and trying to pace myself rest of the year. Cream looks gorg but this tan is my fave.
This next, or one of the remaining Original Puzzles left in stock. 🤔 Those have a time limit obvi. “Don’t pull this model Celine!”
I’d definitely prioritize the puzzle given the dwindling stock. But then definitely get the Romy!!💜

I love the Romy bag, the slouch is so good. Lately I’ve been contemplating getting the Romy or the Puzzle bag. Leaning more towards the Puzzle bag BUT it will have to be in 2024. No more bags for me this year. ❤
I have both and love them both for different reasons. Don’t think you can wrong with either choice!💜
If you want the original Puzzle vs the newer Puzzle Edge, you need to get it this year - Loewe is discontinuing the original Puzzle. Once the current stock is sold, it’s sold out. Normally I would say, big deal, I’ll just get it Preloved, but it’s very difficult to authenticate Loewe (just see Jessie Styles videos for her experience). I’m also debating if I should get the Puzzle over another bag this year 😅

I think given the softness of the leather, stretching is to be expected with the buckles. It’s beautiful but curve of the (discontinued) Leandre would suit my body shape better. This Romy sits nice and flat against you, looks nice. Adjustable straps are a must!

I don’t. I’m thinking of getting either the canvas guitar strap from Celine tot maybe just a plain one from Amazon or Etsy. If you want a leather one I’d try Etsy. There are lots of sellers on there that do after market straps for designer bags.

Hi Lisa, I bought the exact same bag and was wondering what you do to protect the interior. I don't see that any of the companies that sell inserts carry them for this bag although I know you can request a custom size. I don't want to lose the slouch with an insert but I want something to protect the inside from dirt and stains, maybe the thinner inserts will work. Anyway just wondering your thoughts. I hope to hear from you, thank you!
Hi Julie! I don’t use an insert in mine because like you said, I don’t want to lose the slouch. I would reach out to handbag angels if you’re looking for a a custom insert. They made me one for my Moreau Paris tote. They’ll tell you exactly what dimensions they need. They’re very kind people and it was super quick. HTH💜
Hi! Great review! One question: does the bag stay put on your shoulder or do you need to hold it with one hand? I'm trying to decide between the large Romy and in tan or black leather and the Heloise. I appreciate your feedback :)
....edit: and I just realized you said is stays on your shoulder no problem, LOL. Now I'm stuck on color. My heart wants the tan, but my practical self says go safe with black.
😂🤣 that’s a tough decision. They’re both classic colors. I absolutely love my tan one but I have a couple other black hobo style bags so the “gap” for me was a different color. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. I need to get into Celine to try on the Heliose. I’ve seen a few videos and it looks awesome!💜

Any wear and tear on the bag/corners with use? Still debating on getting this bag 😍
No, it looks perfect. Keep in mind, though, that I’ve probably only carried it 5-6 times.
I’m more into hardware and leather texture for bags but I understand why people are into smelling the leather. The materials inside and out look gorgeous 😊

When your items are in this bag does the items stay upright or does the items flop around lay on their side? I love this bag but, I hate when my stuff flops around..lol
They lay along the bottom as I really don’t carry that much. And the bag stands upright if you set it down because of the base

How does it handle getting water on it? Do you have to ensure you don’t use it when it rains?
I wouldn’t take this bag in the rain. But I wouldn’t take 99% of my bags in the rain 😂

I got a coach bag that has a “suede” lining and after a few uses I realizes it was staining my wallet. My wallet is handmade in Japan and I was so upset to see the discoloring that I don’t use the bag anymore. Does the inside of this bag stain your items?
That’s horrible! I’m so sorry. I haven’t noticed anything like that but I also don’t tend to carry my bags multiple days in a row so my items aren’t in the bag very long.

I do! It's such an easy bag to use. And the leather is divine!
Is it good for travel?
I would think so. I’ve not used it for travel but it’s secure with the zipper and it carries a ton. And the leather is amazing!

@lovealwaysjasmine probably the Loewe puzzle. Big enough to hold all my essentials plus some. Zipper closure and it’s crossbody which for me is a must for travel.
