- Part 4:
Today marks the Fourth day that I Restore my old vintage bike that has been stored in a chicken coop for many years. The rust is unbelievable. My Plans are to sand down the rusty paint and use filler primer to paint over it with red and black paint. I plan on Putting a 100cc Engine on the bike and modify it to make it go to greater speeds. My goal is to get the bike to 50mph so wish me luck ;).

what brand of paint did you use it looks great
I used "American Accents 2X Gloss: Apple Red" from Walmart
It’s coming along now. One thing to be mindful of is when you paint something that has to go into something, like the chrome stem you painted black, you’re putting another layer on the part, so it is making it thicker. If you’re going to paint them, mask up the area that goes into the forks, and paint the rest so that it will still go in easily. Also be careful painting nuts because if you get paint on threads it’s a bastard to get them off of on, like on your head set. There’s also bearings top and bottom of your forks, so you can risk locking your forks up if too much paint gets in there. Lastly, you don’t need to undo the big long head stem bolt all the way, if you undo it until there is a gap between the head and the stem, say, enough to put your finger under, then give it a knock with a hammer. There is a little wedge the bolt goes through and as you tighten it, it pulls up and jams between the forks and stem, so when you hit it with a hammer, it drops down so they become loose. That way you don’t lose the wedge, because without it, you can’t tighten up your stem.
just incase you havent figured it out, those arent 26in wheels, there are 700c which is standard for road and gravel bikes, which is why the other tires didnt fit
I actually didn't know that, thank you for the information
