Temu created the problem in the first place by baiting people in who don't understanding . At this point it in a cycle now. That is getting worst in size and power. Temu and Shein and other direct to customer from the factory online stores can buy products from companies using slave or prison labor and right now it gets by the US govt. because it's direct to the buyer. The opposite is true. Temu is trying to become more quality driven. That announcement crashed their stock by 29% in one day despite a 86% increase in profits in the last quarter. Who knows whats true regarding their intentions, but there is definitely a lot of bs said about the company online. People are responsible for their own actions, and shouldn't buy useless crap from a platform which showcases many useful household items for sale as well for affordable prices. One can find a lot of elitist attitudes and virtue signalling around the topic as well.
America and countries in Europe have experienced similar situations, when manufacturers of shoes, clothes, etc. flocked out of those countries. Korea and Japan have also experienced the same thing. But the situation did not make these countries experience an economic crisis or bankruptcy. Why? Because it is a matter of competitive advantage, comparative advantage, and a matter of ordinary market mechanisms. If it is now starting to happen in China, it is indeed time for China to experience a similar transition after years of mass low-wage labor-based industries. When China starts producing airplanes, electric cars, superconductors, robotics, magnetic trains, etc. it is just a necessity for a country that has entered the "advanced" level. Selling 1 airplane is worth more than selling thousands of shoes from a dozen shoe factories in the Ningbo area. That's also why America can still able to compete with China in term of GDP etc, even though the low-labor manufacturing industry left America many years ago.
The investments to build such high tech products have already been made by China. Their semi conductor tech for instance has a $180 billion budget just to get started. I think this century will be dominated by China just like the US dominated the 20th century, UK the 19th and the Netherlands some time before that.
I bought things from temu like boxes that you can jump for my kid and me as well as other training related stuff…most come from china from Amazon anyway so why pay 10-30% more for it
I was going to cover this because China already has actuality issue driven by the low price market and bad profiteering practices. Platforms like TEMU push up the pressure to produce low quality products. One of the reason Japan survived its crash was its shared wealth creating a local market and its rise in quality from when it first produced plastic toys. Chinese quality will only get lower with this attitude to profit. Quality is a better method and more sustainable.
The reason Japan survived is because the U.S. sent it BILLION$ to rebuild. Then they used that money to destroy the U.S. Electronics industry by creating Sony, and dozens of OTHER electronics companies that UNDER PRICED their products. Gee,why does that sound familiar???

Temu created the problem in the first place by baiting people in who don't understanding . At this point it in a cycle now. That is getting worst in size and power. More people are force in to this cycle because of the price skewing cause by Temu. The sellers are at fault now because they keep bending to Temu. Buyers are at fault too but that what buyers do.

Nothin but Junk!!
Which you used to enter this comment. Yeah, where's it from?
