- This was our first arrangement of a piece that Don Lusher recorded. Don was a great fan of Tommy Dorsey, but Don also played for Frank Sinatra , and this piece was made famous in 1955 , when Frank recorded his album "in the Wee small hours". The composer , David Mann was clearly somewhat of a music genius, since he composed this at short notice "on demand" by Bob Hilliard who wrote the Lyrics to this piece. We hope you enjoy this all time classic piece.
If you feel too "intimidated" with the highest notes in this arrangement, then by all means use the XML file to lower it by maybe a tone! You could lower it more but you then may need to fiddle with the ending .
This arrangement was provided by Mark Leigh, the Director of Undiscovered Brass.
There is also a piano and Brass Band version of this piece.
