It sounds very different from other kinds of songs. The Mongolian songs are so beautiful. I would feel the peace, steppe, beautiful nature, relax, and feel like to be near the nature too. Or The Mongolian great compositor Jantsannorov or Sharav's sounds are unique in the world
Because it is Khalkha or Traditional Mongolian and not the current Mongolian. It is an old language spoken in the the time of the Mongol Khaganate I believe.
@stefanmilosevic8899 No man, it's the same language in same dialect. It's just that there are so many music genres there. In traditional songs, there are genres inside it.

Last time somebody tried something similar (Soriah and his Tuvan throat singing) on America's Got Talent, he got booed out by the audience, and the judges were incredible assholes about it. Granted, he didn't put on much of a show, but it certainly didn't inspire much confidence
I did not understand a word, but this performance truly brought tears to my eyes. Their music is so pure and visceral. An absolutely amazing performance. Very well done.
Nina Dionisio No offense, but Mongolian language is too beautiful for translate it into English. I want translate it into English. But even English adepts can't do properly. I'm afraid of I might break it, so I don't dare. I wish you could understand it.
Gerelt-Od Gotsbayar No offence taken sir. I understand that translation does take away some meaning and will never do justice to what is being translated. And I don't have to understand the song to know that it is beautiful and for it to touch my heart the way it did.
this should be a great soundtrack of an amazing movie. Maybe a disney or pixar film. Or an opening song for a natgeo documentary. Thumbs up to you guys

This music is very hypnotizing. Made me interested to learn more about Mongolia. Then I found out about that there are still nomads in Mongolia and cool eagle hunters. Mongolia is now one of my bucket lists.

I'm an Asian Filipino.. I Love music.. Hearing this performance makes me want to visit Mongolia... Hearing their music makes me Nostalgic! I just hope Gerphyl and Khusugtun colaborate ... I love them both!
This performance made me teary-eyed. In a world of mix of "modern and old" or "fusion," the group's reincarnation of an endangered atmosphere - a truth - is just so well-grounded. The drone was just so pure and void of hatred or fakeness. I assume that the performance can be extended beyond screen time, as most Asian music-speeches last beyond the usual mp3 track length. The Philippines has so much ethnolinguistic traditional music which unfortunately are being lost to memory. I envy and am happy that a team from Mongolia pursued this form of performance.
***** this music is as old as Chinggis khan, and it really is one of the most forgotten kinds of folkmusic in the world, but thanks to one man, Kongar Ol Ondar, people like Huun Huur Tu and Khusugtun can bring this music to the world.

There's so many to see. So many to listen. So many to learn from Mongolia. The tradition of our nation has a beautiful meaning behind it. Every little thing in Mongolia has a great legend behind. Breathtaking landscapes, humble hospitality of harmonic people will welcome you. (Not the city, i meant the countryside) :)
I closed my eyes and their music somehow took me to a far away, beautiful place. Yes, I'm still alive! Made me appreciate the simple things in life. Congratulations for making it to the finals. Mabuhay!

Great job! I really check about Mongolia tour and flight ticket, I've taste about Mongolia food in Taiwan, it's really delicious, and I believe not just only food also great great culture as khusugtun show for us.
Abigale Sun Let me just tell you that Mongolian food do not have exciting spices and foreign vegetables. It makes sense because their weather doesn't allow for agriculture. They do however have LOTS of Meat and Dairy products. You 'll see food made from dairy that you would have never imagined were possible. Including an alcoholic drink.
thanks for your explanation, I imagine about mongolian food must be include meat because they are nomadic people and I did I like meat especially lamb. then I think zeera is one of spices, isn't it?
Abigale Sun I have never heard or seen of Zeera in Mongolia. Authentic Mongolian food doesn't have much spices. Their lamb meats and everything are as pure, organic and natural as they can be. They are raised, grass fed, and slaughtered humanely and naturally. No crazy loads of chemicals, artificial hormones and antibiotics that go in American meat.
I love it! The calmness that this performance brings is awesome! I want to watch their live performance really, I also want to experience their culture and visit their country! But first i need money for that 😣😭 hope I can watch your live performance soon! 😘😍

Teenjoe 09 was thinking same xD
the reality show, Survivor's theme song has this type of vibe.. it was from an ethnic Russian music..
This type of music is on the show Marco Polo
A mongolian disney princess? Khutulun
I believe they sang for the soundtrack of "Marco Polo", a Netflix series, which was based on the life of Marco Polo and his adventures in Mongolia.
*Hymn of the Tes River* (Just translated, Enjoy!)
From the Bulnai Mountains
You wavered and flowed,
With the sweet taste of sugar spilling over,
Pouring down the ancient steppe,
Oh Virtuous, ancient Tavan River
[Chorus] x5
Sandy Tes, Sandy Tes
Silken Tes, oh Ancient Tes, oh God of Tes
Destined to Uvs Lake you came
In the pace of an ambling horse you came
The drink of livestocks and families you became
Oh Glorius, Tavan Tes River
Gray-haired forefathers lived off on,
Grace and fortune came bestowed,
Ponds have settled and you have grown,
Oh the rich and precious Tavan River!
[Chorus] x5
Sandy Tes, Sandy Tes
Silken Tes, oh Ancient Tes, oh God of Tes
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Монгол орон-с минь эд баялаг шулах гэсэн тэр муухай хүмүүс огцорж эсрэгээр нь өөд нь татаж гаргаж ирэх хүмүүс гараасай билээ.
