I’ll explain it to you again lol, Nobody is arguing that he shouldn’t take off his helmet, we all know he wasn’t born with it, it’s not fused to his head lol. We are simply saying, the chiefs face shouldn’t be shown on screen for obvious reasons, this is what Halo has done for 20 years. I don’t absolutely oppose them taking it off, if done right it can work just fine, but there is a clear and logical reason why fans prefer not to see his face, don’t act like fans are being irrational. It’s become part of the character and how fans view and relate to him. Not too mention, there is also NO ABSOLUTE reason to show his face in the first place. Plenty of characters have existed in cinema without a face.

I was was extremely relieved the moment he took his helmet off to help him empathize with the young girl he rescued.
She needed to see he wasn't just a faceless monster in a suit. And he absolutely wasn't going to just follow orders to kill her, because Jhon is a real human being, not a clinical killing machine.
Only the enemy should see him as 'the demon' .
Funny Pedro Pascal had no issue playing The Mandalorian with his helmet on for 2 seasons. Actors are more than just their faces.

The Mandalorian is portrayed as a mysterious, faceless bounty hunter who is mosty anonymous .
The Master Cheif however is just a Marine, a soldier who is not anonymous to the people around him.
The only reason you always see him with his helmet on is because in the games you only play and see the action scenes while he(you) are on mission.
Halo the game is nothing more than a basic FPS and a pretty easy and simple one at best.
Halo the series however is about Jhon, the human being who is behind the helmet. He is only mysterious to the covenant where he is known as 'Demon'.
But to everyone else who knows him, he is just a guy who is a soldier.
It makes zero sense to never see his face.. just because you didn't see it in the game while you were shooting everything that moved . Lol
What you are basically asking for is a children's cartoon type tale with zero depth or character development.
Also, in the Halo novels, MC takes his helmet off all the time.
That would have been better. They could have gotten Steve Downes to voice it. If they can do it and Twisted Metal they could definitely do it here. But no, this turd wanted to be immortalized as the Cheif... what a joke.

This show is so awesome. I'm grateful they made it. I am watching it through for the 4th time.
Its a shame this show took all of its potential and threw it out on the idea of "Master Chief is a human and not a man who was groomed as a child to become the best of the best killing machines"
Why couldn’t we get another animated series like Legends, like they did okay on this but to remove the effect of the character remaining an unknown character made it feel off, it is just not up to what the original design of the Master Chief I know. I guess it is what it is at this point.

@@switchboy2320 If it was exactly like HALO, it would be super simplistic like HALO too! . It would be 'bang, bang your dead' and he would never take his suit off.
Maybe that appeals to gamers, but it doesn't appeal to the wider audience who want characters they can relate to who have back stories and things going on outside of just shooting the covenant.

@@switchboy2320 I do understand. Its because you came into it with unrealistic preconceptions and you expect everything to be a particular way and can not enjoy anything if it doesn't fit inside of the confines of that very small box you have created in your mind.
Myself.. I have an open mind and I can enjoy things as they are, without having any preconceptions as to how something should be.
If HALO wasn't a thing, and this series was the first time you ever saw it, you wouldn't be complaining.
And that's how I , and most other people watch TV series, we don't get hung up on little things, especially when it's just a simplistic FPS computer game.
It really isn't that deep and even the games aren't really all that consistent with the details between each new version.
As my dad always used to say to me "worse things happen at sea".
And if your only problem in the world is being upset over the details of some dumb computer game, I think you've got it pretty easy.

@@MGRracing its a TV show that ignores the IP it's based on. Mandalorian is a much better show and he keeps his helmet on...because that show respects the material. (vs these show runners ignoring it)

Leaving his helmet on in the games is just a quirk of the games, because it is all FPS action. There is no down time for MC in the game because of the simplicity of it being an FPS.
In the games it's only to portray the idea that it is you behind the mask.
He takes his helmet off in the books.

OMFG I'm so glad I never watched this show... He moves around like he can barely stretch in that rubber spandex outfit... His helmet being off nearly all the time... His voice being NO where near the real thing... The dialogue being so on the nose...
It's based on a computer game. There IS NO 'real thing' .
He’s a good actor but an awful Master Chief
