So satisfying to watch. This makes me need to buy some parts and deck my a7c out lol Would been hilarious if after the build you were like welcome back to my UA-cam channel 🤣🤣😂😂
I got my Sony a7c with a sigma 24-70 mm lens and I wanna build mine out into a rig so badly! Especially because the added weight on the body it should help with the fact that the Sigma lens is so front heavy! You should definitely make a video explaining the parts and where to get them.
Thanks Eric. I’ll be working on one soon! I’ve been really busy with other work lately and haven’t been able to get it done. I’ve used the sigma 24-70 on this set up and it works great and feels right at home on the rig!
Hello! I really love this build and i have the sony zv-e10 and i want ro recreate this with my zv-e10. And i have a question: what is the name of the battery you use? I cant find it anywhere.
Hi Wesley, this is the Best Cinema Rig I have ever Seen for the A7c Build, Can I know how the Battery is Connected to the A7c? Is that the USB to mini USB port on the Camera? or Should I use any dummy Battery Power? if you can put a Video on that, It would be so Great!
Hey, sorry for he late response! I use a usb to usb c cable for powering the camera. You could also use a dummy battery. I wanted to get a dummy battery for the Monitor so it all runs off the v mount 👍
@@wslysctt Thank you so much for the Kind Reply. Awesome. YEs, i found the FxLion Nano so that I can connect via USB to USB -C of the Sony a7C Body and power up the Camera. Thank you so much Wesley !
Appreciate the vid bud, Just got my A7C and although I got it mainly for it's compactness, I did have intentions to rig it up for future client work. I don't mind using a gimbal but I'd like to have the option of hand holding and the A7C itself is just too light! This gives me some great ideas for my rig set up I'm trying to piece together. Thanks man! Also subbed to support, I know the grind and happy to support!
This is just the way I built it out. I wanted it to be as compact as possible and QR usually creates a lot of bulk. That being said, it would interesting to looking to some systems that offer that. And yes for right now it’s just my camera, I can get a dummy battery for my monitor to power it just haven’t yet!
For sure definitely can do that! I use a small hd Oled 5”. I believe it’s discontinued unfortunately. But small hd still has some great option. If your looking for more budget monitors. Maybe check our PortKeys
Well my friend... I think I'm going to cop pretty much everything off your links. I was deciding to get either the Canon c100 mkii not only bc I love using it, but bc of the illusion that it gives clients "oh this is worth what I spent for his services ". But I need something more modern and compact when I'm out and about, and something that can look really pro. Thank you!
Heck ya that’s excited to hear bro. It’s very nice to be able to build it up and down to meet your needs on any shoot. 👌 The rig it’s self is pretty versatile. If you want to build it around a fx3 for better video specs or keep it small at use the a7c you can go either way. It great!
Haha no worries! It’s called a v mount battery 🔋. Powers the camera for a super long time. And helps balance everything out 👌 You can check it in the kit link in the description!
@@dankdunbar2560 to be honest just it’s self with no filter it doesn’t serve much of a practical purpose. But just putting that in helps the whole Look of a nicer (better) camera. It’s funny but clients feel more confident in a decision to hire when they see a “higher quality” camera. Creates a false sense of more value. It also looks dope! 😂
Awesome video man! Question: what port did you connect the record handle to for the A7C to record? Since you have the HDMI and USB-C ports taken, what did you connect this to? Thanks, and keep up the good content!
So unfortunately the a7c doesn’t port that will work for that record handle. I originally bought it for my a7iii and just carried it over for this rig. I just use it simply as a side handle for this build.
Super nice video man I'm curious does your V Mount plate have PD charging? If so this setup is pretty much the ultimate I like the fact that you used the original battery with USB C charging instead of a dummy battery
Thanks James! The plate is just a plate with no plug in. It just holds the battery. I eventually want to get a dummy battery for the monitor and then everything will run from the v mount.
I’ll be working on a video showing each part in the build & new gear that’s come out Since building it that I might do different. In the next couple weeks 🤞
I’ll just say when I’m running the big battery 🔋 I never think about running out of battery. It will last me days. Sony already has great batteries for their cameras so this is just way overkill but it’s really nice to have.
nice video but i even prefer no music... i dont understand why put music in this type of videos... i just wanna hear all the noises and clicks... if i need music i can play my own, i dont want to listen to a music i dont like

Nice, I've just ordered yesterday the same rig cage and top/side handle
This is the content I need
Great video! Have found a method to secure your hdmi connection. I know there is clamp from smallrig, but not sure it can be used with this cage.
It’s doesn’t work on the cage unfortunately. I’ve never had a problem with the hdmi though.
I'm looking to build a rig with my A7C. This video was very helpful.
Hello. Does tilta mini matte box support magnetic 82mm filters? I'm struggling to figure out if it would work

So clean and minimalist setup

Why was this relaxing to watch?
What are the rails under the lens for?
the real ASMR

@@wslysctt Any time man, keep it going! And yes would love to see a break down of the rig!
Why you dont use qr parts? arca plate, nato rails etc. Also, does your v-mount power camera only? To much from my point :)

@@wslysctt yes, i'm use a7c... Will receive some upgrade for my rig in couple weeks and make example shots for you)
By chance did you have any issues using the external small rig record button? For some reason mine isn’t working
On the a7c it actually doesn’t work because there is no micro usb 🥲
I just use it as a side grip.
what monitor do you use? and could you make another video about alle the parts and how you use it please? i want to make the exact rig

is the baseplate compatible with a 3081 cage that you know of?
Yes, should be good to go!

I unfortunately you can’t with the a7c.

can you make a behind the scenes video when your shooting, like how you ise the rig
