also, the rest of kendricks albums are way more conceptual, like, they should be listened to in one go. damn is also conceptual, but more on the theming of each song and it doesn't lose much listened to like this. however, good kid maad city songs almost always end with a skit and tpab songs sometimes end with something i don't want to reveal yet

Crazy thing is a lot of us lived this same exact childhood and had this same perspective and don't worry 😂😂😂 it's very normal for a lot us in a black upbringing. That's why Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers is such a masterpiece speaking on our generational traumas. True fact, when I 1st heard this song upon release, I couldn't truly appreciate it like I thought until present day I have a 7yo son and I realize I too have said some (not all 😅) of those things to my child. XXX. is pronounce x-rated. I believe there is a crosses reference to it as well. "Johnny" in the song is a black youth that falls victim to gang culture. America (predominantly white america), fails johnny because they only see him as a criminal, rather than treat him as being every bit as an american as they are even while having a very American name like Johnny.
If you have time for it and like podcasts, the Dissect podcast has a season that is literally the best analysis of the album from lyrics, composition, samples, highlighting context, etc. For DAMN. Kendrick’s Discography is just beautiful. Another good discography is definitely Kanye. Although his new albums are definitely. Interesting. But he has some amazing music all throughout his career. My personal favorite album is 808s & Heartbreak. Also just some information, allegedly all his problematicness recently
Is due to his dentist getting him hooked onto Nitrous Oxide. Brain scans show permanent brain damage.

Thanks for the comment, it means a lot to me! I am glad you are enjoying the videos.
For suggestions, I responded to one of your comments earlier, but it just said you should check out Periphery, maybe listen to their song Scarlet. I really like that band because they have melodic vocals, and heavy vocals in their music. Most of the songs is a mix of them, and some songs can be just one or the other. Makes for music that's just so different from song to song.
My favorite band it Tool though. They are a bit more.... unique. Their music is very complex and covers deep things like spiritualty and the mind. Most of their music is like if "Doing Acid" was a song. lol

@dethrowegamer1715 thank you!!! I will definitely check out. And Tool sounds interesting. My favorite artists are Pac, Prince and Kendrick so the more complex and spiritual is right up my alley!! You're awesome and keep it up. Love and blessings!
