Texac this is soo awesome! Look in your video at 2:56 then go to Googlemaps and look at the coordinates 36.772833, -115.624213 (check for terrain map)! It is soo realistic that I had no problem recognizing the terrain!
What kind of rig are you running? I have a Compaq Presario AMD Athlon x 2 2.40 Ghz Core Duo, 4 GB RAM and Nvidia GTX 650 1GB card also 500GB HD. How would DCS run on my system? I bought it in 2010 and currently run Aerofly FS 2 which is amazing.
James Lennon you may need more ram and a better gpu to run it at likeable settings. i have a gtx 660 with 8gb ram and i can only get mostly medium and a few high settings
Better do some research and see what you get for your hard earned money, before getting too excited! It looks pretty... but is it worth the price? The software has glitches, and do you go with DCS, DCS 1.5, DCS 2.0 and above? Are they compatible? After buying a plane in DCS will it work in 2.0 etc? I do not know? I want it but can I justify the price..... Not yet, maybe after it comes down to a reasonable price...
Thanks! DCS 2.0 is only dowloadable from the ED website which isn't compatible with Steam just as aircraft modules that are bought from the ED store. Steam doesn't support the DCS 2.0 Early Access Version yet.
No specific date. But according to Wags from the ED forums the map is complete. Only a few very small bug fixes are left and the update to the new engine.

DCS World has two version, 1.5 and 2.0. Both version will be merged into one which seems to be available very soon. Once that is achieved it will be easier to develop and squash out any bugs as their is only one version developers have to concentrate on. Any aircraft module you bought will work with any current version. To pay the price for each module is up to you, the price is in my opinion well set for each module. If you're interested in this simulator you can test it within the 1.5 OpenBeta version which comes with a free map (which is soon to be updated) and two free aircraft. After that you can decide whether you wanna spend more money and time into the sim and have fun or not.
Nice job!
I read that in your voice lol
Awesome video! Love all the interesting and quite photogenic angles of the various birds. Hope you do more!
Thanks! Will do in the future.
