Thanks, Mary...real kitchen that i would like to make a few updates, but this kitchen is used everyday. I appreciate you noticing. 🥰 Do have a superb day.
Hi Ms Berta! After your review of the Hexclad pans a few months ago, I did some research and decided to buy the 8-inch pan and lid. I have to say I'm impressed! I've enjoyed using the pan and have my eye on the wok as well as other pieces. Never thought I would enjoy cooking in anything but my cast iron but the Hexclad is certainly impressive! Thank you so much for not only your initial review but for your follow-up as well!
You are so welcome, Pat. I do the reviews because, as I said in the video, I want you Troupers to use good products so you can get good results with your cooking and baking. The wok seems like an excellent next choice. Let me know what you think of it when you get it and use it. As always, thank you for your support and encouragement. Have a wonderful day, Pat. 🥰
the Wok is so good, get the 12 inch one tho cause it shapes more like a Chinese carbon steel wok. the 14 inch has a much bigger flat surface which makes it like a fry pan wok.
@@chrish3540 Thanks for the suggestion! I did get the 12-inch wok. I'm running behind on just about everything but it arrived yesterday. I'm looking forward to giving it a try! Thanks again for taking a moment to comment! Much appreciated as we all can learn so much from each other!! Thanks again!
I've been meaning to tell you, Berta, that we did a huge (and long overdue) kitchen renovation, and now we have an induction cooktop. I had shown my (retired materials scientist) husband your first hexclad video, and so when we had to replace our pots and pans many months later, he dutifully went out unprompted and bought a whole set of hexclad pans, and all three of us are completely in love. Can't thank you enough, my dear! (Hoping all is well with you and yours... I understand your decision, but I do miss seeing you more often!)
You're welcome, Gordon. I am still using these pans and enjoying them more with each use. I am so glad that I could be of service to you. Have a splendid day, Gordon and thanks for watching😊
I’m going to give the 10 in skillet a try, all of my nonstick pans scratch no matter what the coating it, but will have to wait until its back in stock. Thanks for the update! 🥰😎
Did you think I forgot about you...that my dear, Savannah, could never happen. Let me know what you think of the 10 inch. I use it the most. It's the "Momma pan" of the group!😎😆 Have a productive day. Always enjoy hearing from you.😘
This is my first video of yours and I’ve got to say, you are such an infectious personality, you really should do tv good network spots. I really wish you the best on your UA-cam journey, you deserve more views!
Thanks so much, Lightborn. I don't know what tv good network spots are 🤔 but it sounds like something I could be interested in. Can you tell me more? I appreciate your kind words...they keep me humble. 😊
@@bertajay I didn’t even notice my typo! I meant you’d be great on the Food Network or more interesting to watch than certain other famous food personalities on those shows who really don’t know how to have stage presence. That or TV Guide, something or other. You’re wonderful and I’m happy to see talented people on this site.
Hey Berta! I love getting recommendations from REAL folks who actually USE the items they're recommending. So much more valid than TV commercials or even online reviews [because you never know who's writing those reviews]. I wish I needed new pans because I'd really like to try these - but I took my Dad's advice years ago & bought enameled cast iron which, as you know, lasts MANY lifetimes if properly cared for. The only downside is that it's quite heavy but what are you gonna do? Now we need someone to come along and invent a way to make that great cast iron cookware a LOT lighter - !!! Have a great week - take care & be well! ❤🥕❤
😅😅 You are so right, Jane...a lighter version of enameled cast iron pans would be right up my alley. Thanks so much...you have wonderful week, too. Always enjoy hearing from you! 👍🏾❤
Great recommendation for these pans - I don’t have any but I do reheat my food using the same method as you almost eliminating the need for the microwave oven👍
Absolutely, betty. I have been doing my reheating this way for years. I like it better. Thanks so much for taking your time to leave me a comment. It encourages me. 👍🏾
Happy New Year Berta, I purchased a 2 piece set early December 2021, I ask you what types of pan you were using. I purchased the small pot with top and the 8 inch skillet with top. I will now go back and get the 10 inch pan I'm on the list to be notified when it's back in stock. So far I love them, I put my old pans away until I decide to give to Good Will or someone in need. Thanks so much
Oh, katie. I am so glad you got the 2-piece set. I enjoy cooking with these pans and now I am glad to hear that you do too. Have a great time experimenting with them...it can be fun. Enjoy hearing from, as always. 🥰
I'm with you on the microwave. I like how stove top pans and my convection toaster oven cooks and reheats with heat instead of microwaves. Thanks for letting us know. I may invest in the med & small, they would work for single lady me. 'preciate you!
I am so thankful to be able to share what I know with my Troup. I appreciate you, too, Sarah. Do you know about being in the Berta Jay Troup? Let me know...I do have an explanation. 😊
So glad you're still watching from Germany...l am so thankful for that, Octopus. Have a great day and smile at someone you don't know. Even though a mask people can tell you are smiling. 😁
Thank you, Berta Jay! My folks are downsizing to a new house, and we're getting them new pans as a housewarming gift! How do you feel about the weight of those pans? Are they easy to lift off the stove with food in them? Thank you again for this great review!
Berta, what is your reasoning to get the Lids for the two smaller pans 8 inches and 10 I do a lot of home cooking myself and have never ever needed to lid them. I know for a fact those lids are very expensive. 40-50 dollars each. If I were to quickly reduce a sauce, I wouldn't do it in a 10-inch pan. minimum 12. If I were to steam and sautee a dish like a Francese, I wouldn't do it in anything smaller than a 12 either. the 8-inch seems dedicated to mostly eggs and pancakes with the occasional single-order side dish, like a small side of carrots. The 10-inch is really good for 1-2 person small dishes, scallops, and single steak, asparagus. But neither one I find myself EVER needing a Lid. So when I make my purchase for the smaller pans I don't want to regret not buying the lids, but I don't want to regret buying them either. So why do you recommend the lids for the smaller pans?
Hi Berta, lovely video and very useful info thanks! I was just wondering if you still like & use these Hexclad pans? I’m thinking of investing in a set and hoping they will last longer than the junky nonstick pans I’ve been cooking with! Thanks.
At one point I was interested in the pans. I called the company and they said you need to use oil to make sure food does not stick. As I do not use oil and use water or broth instead, I did not buy them. Have you tried using these when only using water to sauce? With this said, do you cook pancakes in the pan? And if so, do you add oil? Thank you...
Hey, merrill. Please take a look at this episode of Viewers Voices. I answer you question there. ❤ Just click here: ua-cam.com/video/vMJ3xhxPLmc/v-deo.html
Anyone have any suggestions about how to make my Hexclad pans non stick again? It seems everything sticks now. Do i have to use medium heat? Can i revive them somehow?
I am so glad you did, S. Be sure to follow the directions for 1st time use...so easy. Use them with joy. Hope you'll let me know what you think about them. 👍🏾
It’s so nice to see someone in a real kitchen, not some IG creation.

On the fence due to cost & i just got replacement for my t-fal pans. Will add to my wish list.
They are expensive. And lids are extra. 🙁
Hello Berta. Nice review .🌸
Thanks so much, IRENE! 👍🏾

the wok is also amazing. I don't use tefal anymore. had 2 tefals! coating degraded after one year each of them.

LOL…it hadn’t been long enough, SOLID Teflon lasts 2-4 years, and that is Teflon in that pan, so how about an update every 6 months..
