I have two of these cameras they are very good work great at night. I have two people that are trained to falsely accuse me of stuff I'm not doing and I have been arrested on one of these occasions all charges have been dropped because of these body cameras. I don't leave home without them
I like this video , ( BUT ) as owner of a Miufly. I know that you CAN ( D. E. L. E. T. E ) FILES using the cam it self !!!! NO PC REQUIRED FOR THIS ACTION !!! Here is how . After entering your password, go into your video files. Scroll to an or highlight the video you choose to (DELETE) . Then hold down the (OK) button . You will then be asked if you want to DELETE this file. From there make your choice. Same with video,pics,and recordings. Your Welcome !✌🏾✌🏼✌🏾✌🏼✌🏾
Fair enough Gamma. The important feature however is the PASSWORD protection. If for example the employer sets that, then the employee (assuming they don't know the password) can't delete any incriminating behaviour when still out in the field.
Bought one because of this review and others....less than 2 months it won't charge or turn on at all, got maybe 30 to 40 min. practice use out of it and a couple days taking it with me on standby mode for use when needed. Went to pick it up this morning, red led instead of blue.....contacted Miufly 2 weeks ago, still no response.
I asked the manufacturer about how to turn off the beep and vibrate. The beep can be turned off by setting the volume to "0", but the vibrate cannot be shut off, which I don't like.
@@d23pp409 Yes. I think it's the function that mutes key clicks. You can mute the whole device totally, with no sound or vibrate at all. I asked the manufacturer, and they sent me the firmware. But I think they have updated it for all products.

This is an excellent camera. I have mine for a few years now. It came in especially handy and a security guard at a home improvement store with the big orange sign was about to get physical with me. He took off like a bat out o f hell when he heard the camera powering up. I am always wearing it and it only take one hand to power it up. Always record the police. They used to take interest in me. Now when they see this, my interactions are short. It does looks a little wobbly. Eventually technology will fix that. The go pros are less wobbly and have beautiful hi def video. But their size doesn't make them ideal for my purposes. There was a company called Venture that was developing a perfect camera that was smaller, quality video, and had stabilization to eliminate the wobbliness. I don't then that camera ever made it to production. I believe Wolfcom bought it out and it may only be available to leo's. #quadstatecameras
I am waiting for a 128GB version of this camera to be delivered. But I wonder if you have found any way to extend the battery run-time of it? The short run-time of the built in batteries is one of the major complaints about it and I'm expecting to find a way around it. Will it continue to run normally if you plug it into a cigarette lighter adapter in a car, or move to some sort of no filming recharge mode? Even with a GoPro Hero 8 you can provide USB power from a power bank battery and it will record without issue, so I would think this would provide the same...

I recommend not buying anything from the Miufly company. They have no website in English and they have no technical support if you need help. I bought one along with the remote camera they have a available. The motion detection feature doesn't work with the remote camera and when the remote is plugged in you can't turn the camera off. I will never purchase anything they sell ever again.

Does it have like an automatic video recording feature that can go back and start recording 30 seconds prior if and when the microphone detects gunfire or sounds as loud as gunfire? I open carry and this is ideal to have in a court of law. However, I fear I would not have the presence of mind or time in a life or death situation to be pressing and holding a record button while some asshole is trying to murder me. So it would be a great comfort to know that whomever fires first be it criminal or cop or if it is an ambush by a criminal the camera will go back 30 seconds and start automatically recording from that point.
If I remember correctly, it has a 60 second pre-event recording feature. Check the specs before you buy. Thanks for your comment. I have not used this feature yet.
I'd like to know how to delete the files on the camera after downloading them to your computer. The instruction manual doesn't show this unless i'm missing it somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
After moving the files you want to keep to your computer, I would just delete the files on the camera just like deleting any file from an external drive.
It's a bit funny as that camera's sounds when powering on/off are exactly same as Xiaomi dash cameras. I've got one of them and it sounds exactly the same when I turn it on and off. Does it mean Xiaomi uses cheap stock sounds or that security camera is made by Xiaomi?!?
If you have it on, are recording video, and it is clipped to your vest/shirt/etc... will the display on the back always remain illuminated/on or will the screen go dark at some point?

I do have to add, seems like a good camera, but if you can't carry this camera all day on your person. You better start doing some cardio because that's not acceptable.

Go pro. Though I don't like their current body harness to wear it. It looks like a bra. Plus due to it's shape, it is not ideal. #quadstatecameras
Although you cannot view the data without the password, you can perform a hard reset on the camera, which will delete all of the data.

It has a pre-recording function, but you have to press the record button manually, it cannot record automatically.

You can set it to go dark in the settings.
Click the power button once (don't hold) and the screen will toggle off. Click again to turn screen back on.

How ever long you set. You can have continuous overwrite or choose not to, so that some cop can not just TRY to overwrite their indiscretions.

I have one of these Cameras and I hate it! It is not very reliable, and not very user friendly.
I love mine. I live in a red state. In other words when the police screw up, they are not held accountable for their screw ups. I plan to change that.
